H Everyone,
Today is day two of the challenge for me. I have not been good at tracking. I have not dedicated enough time to it, and Now is the time for me to make a big change. I will start right now.

Hi Tom -- I think all you can really do is "guesstimate" the amounts for that type of drink; the numbers the tracker gives you for the various nutritional factors aren't going to be totally precise no matter what, there are just too many variables. Just try to get as close as you can. Lots of things that you eat will likely be the same way -- I usually try to guess a little high on amounts of ingredients -- I figure that way the calorie count will tend to be a little high so I'm not as likely to go overboard.

Best wishes for success!

Hello, All!

Numbers were better this morning. On Tuesday, my fasting blood sugar was at 106, which is too high. I ate lower carb yesterday, less than 100 carbs on the day, and this morning my fasting blood sugar was 96, a number that I feel better about. I think I'll keep my carbs down, maybe not down to Atkins induction levels for a while, but lower.

Now for the topic of this message. Tonight my Mother-in-law, DW, and myself went to Starbucks. As it was really hot here, I asked for a Frappaccino made with sugar-free flavoring syrup and the heavy cream (after all, I'm cutting carbs, not necessarily fat). I have NO idea how to track that. I'm not sure how much cream was used, and none of the nutritional info on the Starbucks site give an idea of the nutritionals of the sugar-free syrup, or the cream. Any thoughts? I just tracked coffee, cream, and a generic brand of sugar-free coffee flavoring, but the amounts were just a guess. Any suggestions for more accuracy?

I think next week I'll just get an iced coffee, so that I can control the add-ins better.

Tom
