I'm finding that keeping up with multiple SparkTeams is hard so I'm going to stop posting here and continue to post in the SparkTeam Managing Diabetes Over 50+ Over 50+

Best wishes, Teresa

Consistency will pay off ~ I need to keep striving for my 7 daily goals, they will cause me to achieve my long term goal of weighing around 140.

1. Motivation ~ Read long list of why I'm doing this and look at pictures of myself to inspire me!

2. Exercise ~ Walk at least 15 min. Thigh workout in hot tub (pool temp). Oxycise, Wt Lift

3. Accountability ~ Post in SparkTeam and Facebook

4. Tracking ~ Sparkpeople food, exercise, water

5. Water 12+ glasses

6. Reflect ~ What went well, what to improve

7. Prepare ~ For Tomorrow: schedule, food prep etc.

I ate a lot this weekend but I also worked out, A LOT! I am so incredibly sore today.

Welcome back, I really like your 7 daily goals. I think I will steal that idea from you and think of a list of goals I want to achieve everyday as well!

I'm back! It's nice to be home. I did very good eating well while I was gone but no exercise. I'm ready to strive for my 7 daily goals today! Doing these 7 things will cause me to reach my long term goals (they are listed on my SparkPage). Have a great day! emoticon emoticon emoticon

That's a great plan for traveling!

I've done much better! But I'm also giving myself a break if I don't work out as hard as I was the first 6 weeks. It's my birthday today and I know I'll get back to not having a social life and just working out and dieting next week but I'm going to enjoy this day.

You know what's weird? I feel like I've actually lost weight this week. I think in the long run I was working too hard and now that I've given myself some slack my body is able to catch up.

If you can't get on to check in until Monday, I hope you had a great weekend!

Great Brooke! You could have quit altogether! We can't go back, woulda, shoulda, coulda. I would do so many things differently if I could go back! Keep going! Don't look in the rear view mirror, ~ keep your eyes straight ahead. What your eyes are focused on is what you will move toward ~ see yourself at your goal and drive forward!

I don't know if I'll have internet access for the next 2 days so I might miss checking in. I'm taking a cooler while traveling so I can have food and snacks from home instead of my usual drive through fast food places.

Have a great weekend and if I don't check in - I'll be here on Monday emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

The scanner is one of my favorite features as well!

I didn't do good again yesterday. I was entirely too hungover. At least I got a good nights sleep last night. Feeling much better today and I'm trying not to beat myself up too much for getting off track. I know for me that can spiral into quitting altogether very quickly so I've got to let it go and get back to work tonight.

I already tracked my breakfast, which wasn't healthy at all, but I've got to track it even though I don't like the numbers. I brought a prepackaged salad to work for lunch so that's also a step in the right direction. Damn, it sure is hard to hop back on the wagon once you've fallen off.

You have a great day as well!

Good morning, busy day today. No excuses - I will still be tracking food on the phone app. Love the UPC scan feature, makes entering food quick. I also love the "favorites" option so I don't have to search foods I eat over and over. Have a great day!

That sounds like a really great plan. I'm not good at planning. I usually just figure out what I'm going to eat by seeing what's available and if it will fit into my calorie/ fat/ carb/ protein range for the day.

I didn't do so hot yesterday. I celebrated my birthday with my family and friends a few days early because it was the only time we could all get together. It wasn't planned and I didn't get a chance to create a strategy for my diet for the evening and even though I didn't eat with them or have a cupcake, I did drink entirely too much and I didn't track anything after lunch. I'm paying for it today! I'll need to get back on track and get my butt to the gym tonight. I'm doing the 30 day jump start your workout challenge and I'll need to do days 15 and 16 to catch up.

Have fun traveling, stay strong and stick with your plan!

Entering in my food the day before on Sparkpeople worked really well ~ I'll have to take the time to enter a weeks worth of food then just edit if needed. I liked seeing the calories etc so I could plan what to eat for the day.

I'll be out of town until Monday so I'll be finding ways to exercise and practice making good food choices while traveling.

Sounds GREAT!!! emoticon I'm home all day today so I'm going through the refrigerator, freezer, pantry then plan a menu so I don't have to think about what to eat. I've decided to take the time to enter it into food tracking on Sparkpeople too then edit it if I don't eat the planned things. I think it will be worth the time & effort, it will take extra time today because nothing is in the "favorites" but at least I can use the app on my phone to zap the UPC codes off the packages for a fast way to enter things.

Hi Teresa! My name is Brooke and I'd love to check in with you on here everyday. We can share how our days are going, what areas we are struggling with, celebrate each others successes, etc. What do you think about that?

Hi, welcome. Thanks for the reminder, I try to track food everyday as I intake. It doesn't require that much time, I just need to remember to do it. Have a lovely day.
