My husband is on board with me. He needs to make some changes as well.
Hopefully working together will help both of us.

I shared my goals with my husband and written them down where I'm planning to review them and track a status weekly. That way I can focus on them all year long and hold myself accountable.

This is my first SparkPeople Challenge - I'm excited! Accountability and consistency are my goals for 2017. Keeping a food journal has always been a challenge for me, but I'm going to work on being better at that in 2017, even if I'm eating the same food each day. Consistency...my biggest problem for decades and not just with fitness and nutrition. 2017 is looking pretty awesome right now!

My goals for the moment are: track every bite of food I eat, drink at least 8 glasses of water a day, do knee strengthening exercises daily, and get back to walking each day.

Try the Bread by Arnolds Steel Cut Oats Honey it's whole grain. I know it has 80 calories a slice but it is a whole grain. It's Great!

My Dr. recommended it and it has made a big change in the way I eat breakfast. It is low in carbs.

I'm doing great at everything EXCEPT exercising and finishing this challenge. This is the 3rd time I've started over because I never get started on the exercising part. So my goals are to do at least 15 minutes of walking and strength training four days per week and yoga one day per week. emoticon emoticon emoticon

I have set small goals for myself 25 pounds at a time. When I would set large goals like loose 100 pounds I would give up. Slowly it will one day happen, small goals and don't beat myself up for mistakes made along the way. Good luck to you all! emoticon

No one really knows, so now that I have lost 1/2 of my goal (75 pounds) I was thinking of putting a before and after picture on FB wearing the same dress! What do you think? Do you think it's time to share how far I have come? Anytime before when I would loose weight all I would get was "I hope you don't put it back on" and I didn't want to deal with that this time so I've kept quiet. Only my hubby knows and you all on SP! And you have been fabulous keeping me motivated! Thank you all!

I let everyone I talk to know about my journey here in hopes they will join me. I have many friends that need to join to become healthier. I have sparked the interest of a few. I hope they follow through as I did.

This is also my "letting someone know". I will also tell my daughter when she comes home from school. She is only 11 and healthy living is not really her style, so I really need the support I get from Sparkpeople. My plans are to clean my house, and to declutter my house. This, hopefully, will help me to be more focused on my weight loss journey, oh, and help me to find room to exercise. (small house)

I love the ethusiasm of these messages---
my small challenges are planning ahead with food for the week and leaving the wheat out. Also daily exercise, even if only 20 minutes. Yes, it does feel good to" let someone know"....
Thanks

Today I brought my lunch and dinner since I work 16 hours, when I get home I'll be sure to take a 30 minute walk. I didn't wake up early this morning but I'm not letting that stop me, I can do this!!

Cook meals for 5 days per week
No more fried foods
Get back to walking as much as possible

Hello! Today is day 1 for me. I wrote down 3 goals, on a sticky note, that will remain on my desk.
1. Get/keep my house in order
2. Home cooked/prepared meals 5 days a week.
3. Drink 8 ounces of water per day

I'm off to a good start with water - I was out of coffee this morning so I had a couple glasses of water instead. I need to make drinking water a routine when I first wake up rather than coffee! (Note: "when I first wake up" - Coffee will need to be consumed later in the morning!!!)

I like how you have a plan! When I started I just hoped it would get me motivated......Well 2 months later and I am still winging it! But I have lost 10 lbs. I see where I need to improve so maybe a plan may not be all that bad. I wish you the best on your journey. You are going to do great!!!!

I guess ya'll get to be my someone! My goal is to lose 2.8# per week. If I do that I will make my goal weight before 2017 rolls around. Which means that this New Year's Eve, I won't have to be disappointed in myself yet again. I have an eating plan laid out and my workouts scheduled. I figure the more I can make it automatic, the easier it will be and the inevitable bumps and challenges that come along will be more easily handled with grace and victory!!
LOL. Looking forward to this
