Hi everyone!

@MARILYNS481 @WHITE-GREEN
the steps 1-7 are from the Bright Line Eating book, Maintenance food plan,
when one get close to goal weigh, you need to add food gradually, in steps.
Small amounts, in a planned fashion, step 1 = add 4 oz cooked grain to lunch, wait and see.
If weight loss doesn't stop, step 2 = increase breakfast grain to 1.5... and so on.

@WHITE-GREEN congrats to your 60 days and to your weight loss success! I'M happy for you!

Marilyn I'm glad your hernia is getting better, and I hope you will find out how BLE works best for you.

@RAAISREADY I'm so glad to hear from you Rachel!
I can relate to what you have been going through, I have a very similar experience.
We both seem to fall into Willpower Gap, and - I quote the BLE book - not into small cracks but canyons!
I have been working on that, rescheduled my work day, hours after lunch were the hardest so I split my working day into two, 5 hours in morning, then take 2 hours off, and finish the remaining 3 hours in the evening. So, when my willpower is most depleted, I refrain from making decisions: eat my scheduled lunch and have a nap. And again, at he end of work I meditate. All of these replenish willpower (BLE book)!
I have been doing this for 6 days now, and the difference is striking. I eat slower, cook a hearty vegetable stew for dinner (rather than grazing on crackers all afternoon and skip dinner...) and I don't have cravings or binges ever since. Zero. I feel full between meals, and don't think of food at all.
I owe this to the BLE book, just read the chapters about Willpower Gap, Insatiable Hunger and Overpowering Cravings and the Saboteur and Left Hemisphere Interpreter... so brilliant and convincing. Now that I remember the science behind BLE again, it is easier.to see why I need to do it, and just follow all the 4 Bright Lines.
Rachel I'm sure you will find a good solution for yourself, and feel better soon!

Hi everyone, nice to see your posts!

Good luck to us! :)

@KRISZTA, I have to admit that I don't know either what you refer to when you write steps 1-7?
I have to say it is hard for me to imagine you have binges! What do you binge on?

@RAAISREADY Moving is always a challenge!
Hope you will settle down into a good routine soon.

I am doing all right, today is day 60 since I cut out flour (cut out sugar in February). I eat more than the BLE food plan prescribes but I am glad that I can stick to my own food plan just about every day, this is a first for me! Lost about 4.4 kg since I started 60 days ago.

Hello everyone, Happy July! :-D As you can tell by my weight-tracker chart, I have been all over the place lately with my eating. It started with a lot of binging on a certain food during the initial stages of quarantine, then getting myself back on track in June, and now I've been dealing with preparing to move apartments for the past week and actually moving this past weekend (about 90% done, will finish this week). I've been burning crazy calories, but I've also been eating indiscriminately and often, so my weight is slightly up again. Once I'm settled into the new place and have my new stove, I'm looking forward to getting back into routine again so I can stay on track more easily. The last few months, even apart from the COVID-19 quarantine, have really been stretching me to the max and causing me to retool my habits in order to stay functioning. This has not always meant strict adherence to BLE for me (on those days when I have absolutely no brain power left to make any kind of coherent plan for the next day), but I've tried not to stray too far and to make those better choices when possible. I also find with the summer months and my extra busyness that I just have zero interest in cooking right now, so I'm trying to find more BLE-friendly easy prep items for dinners, and I welcome suggestions! Breakfast and lunch are usually pretty simple/easy for me, it's dinner where I need to get some streamlined staple meals ideas that take little effort or planning/prepping (or maybe some things I can bulk prep in one session and dip into during the week). Also hoping to finally get some time off later this month, so I will be using part of that time to see where I can plan ahead and improve. My main issue right now is that so much of what I'm doing on a regular basis involves planning and organizing and managing, that I just don't have anything left at the end of the day for applying these skills yet again to one more thing (i.e. planning meals). But I feel so much better when I'm following the plan, so it's worth it to me to figure this out. Anyway, sorry if I'm rambling, but this is where I've been at for the last few months, and I'm looking forward to getting myself back to a healthier equilibrium again, as I see many of you are also doing (restarting the 14 day challenge, or doing boot camp). Let us know how you're doing as well and how we can help you! emoticon

@KRISZTA11 - good to hear from you. But you have me a bit confused. What do you mean by Steps 1 - 7 as I am not sure what you are referring to there

I am struggling somewhat but from looking at my journal I know what i am doing wrong. I am having 3 meals and generally no sugar but have added some flour items to my meals and some of my portions are over. So I have started to work on that.

I am praying that July will be a better month as I really need to release this weight - my hiatal hernia is settling down but only will be really better when I lose a lot of the belly fat - so that is an encouragement to do it now.

Look forward to hearing from all of you

Thank you for all your post, and for the nice responses!
Cutting out the special rye bread did not help, afternoon binges continued.
Som no quick fix for me!

I reviewed my food plan against BLE weight loss and maintenance food plan.
I was supposed to eat Weight Loss + Steps 1-7,
but my portiones were slightly distorted (7 oz where I should have eaten 6 oz, even more for fruit, etc).
Now I align my actual food plan to BLE food plan better, the only modification is that I'll split dinner 8 oz salad between dinner and lunch.
Too much for dinner - and I need it at lunch, to prevent afternoon binges.
That should be enough for me to get rid of cravings and binges, and to get back to maintenance center weight.
If not, I'll cut steps 7 and maybe 6 too.
I wish you all a lovely Sunday!

I didnít lose any weight for 2 months! I have reduced my protein to 3 oz occasionally and had a veg. Instead of fruit in morning. There actually is a small section in book to break a plateau- defined as not losing for 4 weeks. First eliminate fruit and have veggies instead. Reducing fat to 1 tsp for lunch and dinner, reducing protein to 3 oz instead of 4. Also it has been suggested to eat less nuts and nut butters. I have finally lost 3 lbs in the last month! I have only 7 lbs to go to goal so I should apply these to myself and see if I can lose a little faster.

I seem to have hit a plateau, or rather I haven't lost any weight for a couple of weeks when I had been losing slowly. It's a bit frustrating but I'm continuing on with my plan.
I've been exercising more (or rather longer) so I guess that could have contributed a bit. Aiming for about 5 mile run today (and hoping it's cool enough to survive!)

Keep going and keep safe

Thanks for the hug! :)

Sorry to hear you are dealing with all these health issues. I hope you'll start to feel better, soon.

I am still amazed by the difference that cutting out flour has made in my life. I never thought I'd be able to skip all snacks, but this is now beginning to happen (I'd started out with bright line that said eat no more than 3 meals and 1 snack). Spontaneously I am beginning to drop that snack (and eat the food I'd have eaten for a snack with either lunch or dinner).
It is a big surprise to find that I can go for hours without eating and not be bothered about it, at all! Very pleased.

I have now completed 51 days of (my personal version of) BLE and lost a little over 4 kg. (1 kg-2.2 lbs, they say that a 5 kg loss is one dress size down).

@KRISZTA11 - so good to hear from you - and it sounds like you are doing well with getting back on track. Are you combining the Beck Solution to BLE eating - I think you mentioned one other time you did this. At any rate glad you are back and hopefully we will hear a little more from you

Am doing well. Week 3 of my 2nd bootcamp - this one is based on the Grit Course - great modules from Susan and just worth doing.

Have some medical issues that have flared up and doctor has advised going from 3 meals to 5 - 6 meals. So am breaking my breakfast and lunch in half - 1st breakfast at 8 am, 2nd one at 10 am, 1st lunch at 12 noon and 2nd one at 3 pm. When I say I am breaking them in have what I have done is I take the fruit from each of these meals and eat then in the 2nd meal - this seems to be helping but it has only been a few days - I know I see the difference in the scale (but that could be mostly to no sugar no flour) but the other medical issues is settling down by doing this.

Now I am having to work on (1) gentle movement through the day helping out with the mobility issues and (2) am looking into getting 'blue' glasses to where 3 hours before bedtime which helps let the brain know that it is time to sleep. Another tip I have just learned is that 1st thing in the morning - get up go to the bathroom, then step outside for 10 minutes of sunlight - every day even in the winter - has to do with getting sunlight early in the day letting your brain now that it is now time to be awake. So looking at how that over time will help.

But I have now been sitting here to long and my back is hurting (osteoarthritus) so need to get off the computer and change position and stretch out for a few minutes to help release the pain.

Stay safe

Hi friends, I'm back after a long break!
Working from home since 16th March, but COVID pandemic has been mild here, I'm grateful for that. None of my family or friends got COVID, and nobody lost their job.
Eating well was hard, unlimited food supplies just a few steps away, as opposed to working in the office where I only have the healthy food I packed for lunch.
As weeks passed by, I deviated form my plan more and more often, ended up with cravings and thinking of food most of the day!
Today is my Day 5 of Bright Line Eating, cravings and gone and I rarely think of food between meals.
In fact, I follow BLE food plan more strictly than ever.
I used to eat a small piece of NMF - not anymore.
I used to eat sandwiches for lunch at work, a special thick whole-wheat rye bread, and I never had a problem with that in the office setting. Working from home, I can't do that, it gives me cravings and binges that I can't control.
So for now, I eat cooked grains at each meal (maintenance plan step 8).
No sugar, no flour, meals, quantities - this is what works best for me.

I listened to Ari webinar and found it interesting. The tidbits I got from it were to add more exercise, make sure my food is enjoyable. A diet I did lose weight on before was designed for petites. It recommended that you have 2 Lower calorie days and then 1 higher calorie day to keep your body from thinking you are fasting. I am 14 lbs from goal and had a real plateau for two months. This week I lost .5 lb, last week 2 lbs, so I am losing again. I am going to track my bright line meals to do this.

Good morning!

Sounds like you're doing well Marilyn! How nice that you have a good mastermind group now!

Best of luck to your husband, I had my gall bladder removed in 2007, it was a relief. Surgery is never pleasant, though, of course.

Morning everyone hope you are all doing well on this beautiful Sunday.

@WHITE-GREEN - thanks for the encouragement - the struggle is easing which I am thankful for.

On the BLE official facebook group there as a notice of a webnair by Ari Whitten on Fat Loss Burning. Listened to it and learned a lot. Have joined that group as there are things that he shares that can be incorporated into BLE eating to help with the lossing of fat. There are 19 lessons and I have just listened to lesson 3 and hopefully today will be able to listen to lesson 4. When you sign up for it you are also able to join a private facebook group that Ari plus 2 more that will answer all questions. Another nice thing about this course is that you can download all the material - so will see how it goes. So far I have started slowly to combine one / two of his suggestions to my BLE way of eating and today I say a positive note on the scale which was nice.

Tomorrow is my weigh in so will see how it goes - going to give it till the end of the month to see how it works combining both. There are a number of BLE people on Ari's program which is nice.

I am finishing up Week 2 of my 2nd bootcamp. This time I am for focused and getting more out of it.

I also now belong to a Mastermind Group - 3 other great ladies - we meet on Mondays for one hour on zoom - looking forward to tomorrows meeting - nice to talk face to face with others that are doing the program.

Well, waiting for hubby to return from the hospital - had to go for an ultrasound re gall stones - they told him last night at the emergency he needs to have surgery soon so will see how soon is in the eyes of the hospital.

Take care, keep coming and sharing how you are doing - this plan does work if you work the plan.

Nice to see you post, Marilyn. I hope the struggle will ease up for you. It's good to hear that the 14-day challenge is worth it, as it is I'm pretty content with how I am doing!
I have now completed 36 days of my own version of BLE and am doing well. My Lines are: no sugar, no flour, eat no more than 4 times per day, and eat set amounts of food.

I have times when I struggle, when that happens it's usually at night, but overall I am amazed by how I feel and how easy it is - compared to before I cut out flour - to just go for hours without food and eat 3 or 4 times per day. I spontaneously started eating just 3 meals though I'd allowed and still allow for 1 snack per day.
Lost 3.2 kg so far, that's about 7 lbs I think. I'm very pleased.

Morning everyone - sorry I have been not around lately but life has been difficult to say the least. So good to come and read all the messages here though

@WHITE-GREEN you asked about the 14 day boot camp is worth it. Actually it is a 14 day challenge and yes it is worth it. You get lots of blogs from Susan along with lots of helpful tips. And the blogs given you will have access for about 2 weeks after the 14 days are over.

Personally I like the boot camp better as it goes for 8 - 10 weeks - well worth the investment as you get to download and keep all the weekly modules that come with it - so many helpful tips. I listened to one last night 'again' on when you are having a difficult time and you slip and break your bright line - she gives a very good short message on what to do if and when that happens. Boot camp is a bit pricey but they have a scholarship available where you can get it very low in price - as I said it is worth the investment. I am doing the boot camp for the 2nd time but this time around based on the the Grit course that they had offered.

I have a new food journal that I have put together and it is the best one ever. I have it set up for 3 months - one side includes the date, my weight, if I had gained / lost and total lost/ amount of water drank, how i am feeling physically and emotionally plus a few lines for general thoughts. The other side is what I call my gratitude journal where I record 3 things I am grateful for that day, because I have a strong faith and take my food to my Lord daily, I also write down one scripture verse that spoke to me that day, and then anything that stood out special for the day - even if it is how the weather was - and during all this difficult time we are living in there always seems something to record re either the virus or all the racial tension in the USA and now around the world.

For weight recording I am taking it one month at a time. So in my food journal for June 1 I recorded my weight and then on June 30 I will record it again and note the difference - with the goal in mind to be down between 4 - 8 pounds.

Keep those lines bright - it seems difficult at times as I know I am struggling right now as I either seem to break the sugar line or the flour line daily - so today I am committing to not break either but just for today to eat as I should.

Make it a good one everyone - look forward to hearing from all of you

Thank you for sharing MADAMEJEANNE and Tessa!

Would you say that the 14-day boot camp is worth it? Does it take a lot of time to do it?

I have now used my own 'bright lines' (no sugar, no flour, eat 3 meals and 1 snack per day, and eat set amounts of food) for 4 weeks. I do eat more than the BLE program prescribes, but I stick to the foods and amounts that I put in my food plan. I think I eat about 1900 calories per day.
I lost about 5 lbs. (2.3 kg and I have another 20 kg to lose). I'm surprised that I have been able to do it, especially the rule of not eating more than 3 meals and 1 snack. I have a feeling that cutting out the flour made a big difference. That drive to eat eat eat seems to have diminished greatly.
I'd already cut out sugar in february so it must be the flour that makes the difference.

White-Green my hardest Bright Line not to cross was no snacks. Iíd been on a diet plan with no sugar but you used other flour and artificial sweeteners. I was eating a lot of snacks and desserts and didnít lose. It took me time to ditch artificial sweetener. I had some yesterday and in the evening went and got a treat not on plan commonly called NMF. I havenít lost anything on the 14 day challenge so far but understand food addiction better now. I would say I am definitely addicted to sugar. The month of May was pretty good hoping to do better in June. I am part of the 100 days of weight loss group here at SparkPeople and find it a very good support team.
Also I eat veggies sometimes while preparing food but weigh them and include that weight for the meal. No freebies.

I haven't done the 14 day or boot camp but I do have the book on audible and follow the FB page (plus a couple of other BLE groups-recipes and exercise).
I've kept to the suggested quantities and don't feel hungry (despite doing some exercise), at the start I just told myself that I'd had enough food.. The thing I'm bad about is not nibbling while cooking-I try to restrict that to veggies, then have slightly less at the mealtime. I'm losing slowly at the moment (but I do have days with little extras that probably mess up my loss-silly me). I'll get there eventually and happy with progress for now.

Thank you for sharing Jeanne!
I hope you'll keep us posted about the 14-day challenge, I'm interested to hear what it entails, I've been thinking about doing it.

I have been doing Bright Line Eating since January 1. I read the book and participate on Facebook. I am starting the 14day challenge tomorrow since it was the best price ever. I want to reach my usual goal of 115lbs by my birthday, June 20 and I have been getting tired of losing so slow. I am hoping it will help me finish strong and help me keep going beyond 115. I am amazed at how much fat I still have. I have noticed my small shoulders are smaller cans my thin legs thinner. My apple shape is still showing- fat in the middle.

Today is day 14 since I started (my own version of) Bright Lines... So far, so good.

Which of the Bright Lines was hardest for you to get used to?

Yes, my book arrived and I read through it! I've now started with Bright Lines be it that I adjusted them a bit (I wrote about that in another post I think). I intend to see how this goes for 8 weeks and then evaluate.

Good for you for picking up the plan again! Keep me posted on how it's going.

I get that notion of maybe adding a maintenance food to the plan. I too have one serving of grains / potatoe with my evening meal now.

I am feeling tired and listless today... it's day 13 since I gave up flour... I wonder if it's withdrawal.... Could also be 'corona blues'...

@WHITE-GREEN - has your book arrived yet - it is a good read and really will help you. I used just the book, no bloggs from November 5 - December 31 2019 and lost 25 pounds. Then I got side tracked and did the boot camp which is worth it but I was in a different head space so did not lose anything.

On Saturday May 14 I have restarted my plan so am back to Day 1 = doing this as I finally realized what I was doing that was getting me from following the program as outlined. And as of this morning - day 3 I have lost 1 pound so when Saturday comes along I am hoping that it will be a loss of 2 - 9 pounds like I did when I first worked the program. If a person just followed the plan as outlined things work.

For me (as to the plan) I made one change - I moved the morning grain from breakfast to supper as I like to have 4 oz of potato at supper. Last week a friend suggested re looking at the maintenance plan (I still have 140 pounds to lose) and maybe adding one of the maintenance foods to my weight loss plan to make sure I don't get the 'hungry' feeling that might make me want to snack. What I have done in the last 2 days was I have added one more protein for lunch. Not sure if I will do that all the time though but it has helped to hold of hungry between lunch and supper so I might incorporated that for a bit.

The detoxing this time is not as bad but still there - 1st time around the detox lasted 10 days and was horrible but this time I can tell I am detoxing due to the headaches but they are not as bad so thankfully when I was off plan the sugar and flour did not do to much damage

Starting June 1 BLE is offering a new program - not going to take the big 15 week program but am thinking I will do another bootcamp which will last for 10 weeks as I am now ready to really commit to it. I have met a few other ladies on the BLE platform that are going to do it also so it will be nice to have a few people that I have gotten to know to work through it with me. The ladies that I have come in contact - we now messenger once a week as a group (3 of us) and it is nice to see their faces and talk to them - lots of helpful tips are shared

Well, lunch is calling my name so better run - have a good day everyone

Hello, I am new.... I ordered the book 'Bright Lines Eating', but it will take another two weeks to get it, I live in Europe and the book apparently has to be ordered from abroad. I am very curious about so many things. I've been watching several video's by Susan Peirce Thompson and intrigued!
I have many questions... I will post them in a separate thread and I hope maybe some of you can offer some answers!
Have a wonderful day!

Hi Tessa! Sounds like you've got a good routine going now for these disruptive times. I think we've all been a little wobbly in our lines during this transition but it's good to recognize what works and what doesn't for you so you can make adjustments and keep moving forward. Does the nursing home have a phone or video chat in place so you can connect with your mother for her birthday? Some places have also been allowing visitors outside their buildings to interact through windows with their residents. Certainly not ideal, but whatever it takes to stay connected during these trying times. Love can't be quarantined. emoticon

Stay safe, everyone! Eat those veggies!! :-D

Foolishly I allowed myself chocolate over Easter, it's taken me a while to get back on track. I'm working from home (I work very few hours) delivering sessions online so that's been a learning curve. My husband is a teacher so he's also working from home with online lessons (and he spent Easter break redoing the school timetable so no holiday for him at all).
We get out most days to walk and I'm trying to keep shopping to a minimum. No visiting my elderly mother, her care home is close to visitors but virus free for now. It's her birthday next week (93) but sadly wont be able to see her.
My 4 children are all grown up but we now have a weekly zoom get together which is great (one doesn't come along, that was predictable).
Keep safe

Congratulations on becoming a bright lifer! I think the course might be good but some things donít appeal to me. My dh and I are staying home and have had our son and a friend shop for us. My daughter mailed some packages for me. I signed up for Amazon prime for April since we have 4 birthdays this month, and I sent my mom an Easter package. We have been taking walks every day. Some times I eat my breakfast in the middle of the night. I was eating in the night and then having breakfast and decided thatís not a good idea, so the last 3 nights I had my breakfast, this morning I had a little left but actually forgot to eat my grain.

Morning everyone - it has been quiet in here - would be nice to hear how everyone is handling this corona virus quarantine

My family is doing well - hubby is the designated shopper - and we have enough to keep us going - just weekly things such as milk and sometimes bread for hubby otherwise we are self quarantined = it has been 5 weeks now for us and my nephew who is one of the top researchers has told me to be prepared to be quarantined for April, May and probably June with the possibility of longer if people don't get their act together re physical distancing.

I think I mentioned that I am now a 'bright lifer' with the program which means I have done a boot camp and then moved up to bright lifer which is support for one year and onward. They are launching a new course as of April 9 which is 6 weeks long and is on how to handle stress and anxiety during a crisis. Am taking the course as I am thinking there are things in the course that will be helpful at this time that we are dealing with.

Along with the course they have made up a new platform which those that take the course will be able to access - once all the snags our out of the platform they are talking about moving all facebook BLE to the new platform as it has more options than facebook. So far it looks good, And I am so looking forward to the course to start - as well I am going to go back and redo the book camp which is 10 weeks long as there was so much information/ tips in it that I just gleamed over.

So that is what is happening to me - working my plan, enjoying the changes we are making as a family to our lifestyle due to the virus - we are now thinking we will not go back to the way we were before the quarantine as this new way seems so much more relaxing - but will bring back our weekly visits for coffee with different friends - otherwise we will be doing more of physical distancing from now on just because it feels better than it was before.

Look forward to hearing from all of you - any of you going to take the course that I mentioned?

How is everyone doing, with the coronavirus going around? Can we do a quick check-in?

I have been working from home for the past 2 weeks, only heading out for shopping and to visit my mother who is 85 (doing shopping for her as well). I don't know anyone personally yet who has been infected, thank God. I have several friends who are health care workers so praying for their continued safety. My church is now streaming services, so staying connected that way as well. Thank God for technology during a time like this!!

As far as BLE, I'm still keeping to the program for the most part, but the first week of transitioning to quarantine I did binge a bit on potato chips. I've since learned that our bodies/brains apparently crave more carbs during times of stress, so I'm trying now to just allow myself an extra carb serving on some days if I feel I need it and count it as a veg serving, and that seems to have helped me stay on the weight loss track. Honestly it's not the highest priority in my life right now! But staying healthy is, and I definitely felt crappy after those chips, so I'm trying to make sure I keep giving my body lots of nutrients to keep my immune system healthy. No one seems to be buying fresh veggies at the stores anyway, so all the more for us! :-) Just make sure to wash them thoroughly with soap and water once you get them home. emoticon

@MARILYNS481 Marilyn, are you able to stay home? How is your daughter doing? @KRISZTA11 Kriszta, I seem to remember you doing some sort of health care, how are things going for you in Hungary? @MADAMEJEANNE MadameJeanne, how are you weathering all this?

Just checking in. Praying that everyone is staying healthy and safe.

Since I started BLE on November 5 2019 I have now lost 25.1 pounds - could have been more but got side tracker in January / February = and now with this corona virus and all the stress/frustration on what we hear we are to do - seems we are hearing more things to panic the people then to help them.

Anyway am back on track. I am in self quarantine now for week 5 and must say I am missing the occasional time going out for lunch/dinner or having coffee with friends. Learning to make this new normal as normal as possible -and trying not to listen to the news as often as all we seem to hear here is the negativity of what some people are doing

At any rate am eating healthy, am safe, warm and not sick. So I consider myself blessed - I woke up again this morning and don't have the dreaded corona virus so I am pleased.

Take care - please come share how you are doing

Marilyn, that's good that you can stay home. We have the same in England for those at higher risk.
I don't work much but the work I do is with groups of pregnant women or new mums. That's all had to stop and now i'm having to do online groups/classes. I have the first more formal one tomorrow and I'm way out of my comfort zone, terrified the technology wont work because I've done something silly-just hoping the mums will be kind to me an everything works smoothly.
Eating is OK but I'm not moving enough, activity helps keep me sane.
We should have been going away on Sunday-not sure how to make next week more holiday like..

Short update - am doing well though somewhat stressed and having anxiety for the 1st time in my life with all the corona virus - just praying that people would take it more seriously and social distance better - as the numbers are going up and will continue until we all do our part.

We have now set up where we grocery shop on line, then hubby drives to the store and they bring it out to us and put it in the car - therefore no close counter with anyone. Only time we will (actually him) be out and near people is once a month when getting our meds - and we have a supply in now so we are all ok - the weather is good and we will spend some time out in the yard and even going for small walks as most people around our area don't so we can be out in the fresh air.

Today is Day 138 of following BLE and Day 12 of being a Bright Lifer. Struggling right now though but today am back on track and looking forward to having many great weigh ins in the months to come. My weekly group that I go to for weigh in and support has now been suspended - the weigh record ladies (2 of them) are still going to set up for those that want to come and get weight and leave (no weekly meeting) but I will not be doing that as we are self quarantining till things get better around us - need to do this as my immune system is compromised and I have my youngster daughter to think of (she is 31, has Down Syndrome, had heart surgery when she was 4m, only one working kidney and has seizures) so I need to make sure she is safe.

The three of us have been self quarantined now for 14 days - we are looking forward to the next 14 days to see how much if any improvement in the health of everyone around is - praying that we will see a shift of it getting better but doesn't look like that will happen for some time - as of last night see that it has hit 303,000 world wide that have the virus and I believe it is over 20,000 that have passed away - so praying that people will take it serious.

Well supper is prepped, so need to start cooking - we have prepared our bbq as the weather is starting to look better and rather than using the indoor grill we want to start using the outdoor one - hmmmm can just taste the great grilled salmon steaks.

Well that's it for me now - hope more of you will come and update how you are doing

I'm still losing slowly. I'm not always exactly on track but that's OK for me (at the moment).
Having broken my wrist I'm now out of plaster (pins came out a couple of weeks before that) so I'm working on getting the mobility back-I think this is going to be a long slow task.
I started jogging again this week which is great particularly with all the stress going on in the world. I'm having to learn how to do my work (running groups for new Mums) online which is also a challenge.

Thank you. I am healing from pneumonia on day 9 of antibiotics. I stayed home and rested and of course have been washing hands if I had to go to the store for anything. I did stay home from work for 3 days and last weekend. We are moving our trip of a lifetime to Paris from April to August if all of the details work out. My 96year old mother was telling me to take care of myself because she doesnít want me getting sick. Iíll always be a ďkidĒ in her eyes even though I am 66.
I had a NSV. I went shopping yesterday and the PL tops and dresses were too big! Onto PM, on the bottom I am already a small and a 4p. I might have to go to a younger store when I lose the next 10 lbs. emoticon It has been so encouraging to me that I actually lose weight on BLE. I was on a plateau for 4 years before this.

@MADAMEJEANNE = pneumonia - not nice will hold you up in prayer - where is the coronavirus where you live - not wanting to scare you but please take care as it is now good

I am now a Bright Lifer and will be just be finishing up my 1st week. It is a great support system and am so glad I took the option to be involved. Love having the daily accountability call that I can to listen to anytime during the day. That is just one of many things - another big one is all the vblogs that I can listen to. And just being on a private face book group of people that have been doing this program for some time and some new bright lifers really is helping.

So just finished going through my freezer making sure we have enough frozen meats and frozen vegetables and fruit for at least 21 days - so all of that is good

Stay safe - eat healthy - and come and share when you can

Short update on what I am doing.

I believe I shared here that about 1/2 way through January I decided to do the boot camp = best decision I made - as it cost a lot I applied for the scholarship that is provided by BLE so it fit better into my budget.

I have completed the boot camp - having all the great vblogs and other tools that come with the boot camp for ever is so I can do it over and over again. Learned lots and will do it over many times.

After doing a boot camp you are able to join if you wish the Bright Lifers which is continued support of 12 months. Price is not bad and they do have a scholarship for it also. As I know I need all the support I can get I signed up for it. And I am blown away with all that is offered - you can do as much as you want with the support or you can do little. For instance there is a daily accountability call (time of day for me to connect live is 5am so not sure how often I will go to a live one) but it is recorded so when I am up and about to start my day I can listen to the call - and they are all archives so I can listen to past calls. They ask 4 questions at the beginning of the call which lasts about 4 - 5 minutes and then she goes to the phone to take calls. Have listened to 2 of them and the calls have really helped me as the 2 people that called in shared what was happening and how they were struggling so it gave me tips on how to handle such a situation. For instance today's the member was saying she is in the maintenance plan now for over 100 days and now uses the one plate method as explain by SPT - but she has gained back 7 pounds that she lost. So the moderator of the call and the member with the questioned talked about what could be changed to help her not regain more weight - it helped me as I can see the one plate method might not work for me. Another part of being a Bright Lifer is that if you have a facebook (you don't need to do this part but it is offered) you can be added to a private facebook group just for bright lifers. Because of how many want this option it takes about 4 days to get added as they have to do it manually for adding each member. I am looking forward to this. They also have special interest groups plus a group called Gideon Games (goes for 90 days and is a challenge) which i am thinking i will join when they do the next one. Also they have a phone list for bright lifers - i went to the list and typed in my location and low and behold there is another lady in town that is doing the program the is a bright lifer - so this week i will be seeing about contacting her.

So if any of you have done a boot camp - did you decide to do the bright lifer? If you are an active bright lifer would like to hear from you

So am now needing to go and do some chores from my to do list - hope there can be more activity on this group but guess it is what it is

Hello dear friends! I just typed a long update on my life and went to post it and there was an error message so now I have to start over - this is what my life has been like lately! :-( So much going on, but thankfully I've been sticking mostly with the program. Automaticity is my friend these days.

I will be moving apartments in another month or 2, and I now have a part-time job with my boss' side company that I'm working on weekends from home in addition to my full-time job, so life is very crazy. And my personal laptop crashed this week. I'm currently writing from a work laptop, and it has all these firewalls set up by the company so I am limited in what I can do with it (e.g. I can't log my current weight because it blocks the pop-up). Lot of stress and fatigue right now. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers. emoticon

Hoping all is well with you - slow and steady wins the race! emoticon

Hi Marilyn,
I'm still doing the program,
I have been away from this chat because I'm extremely busy at work,
and leading another challenge.
But I stick with no sugar, no flour, meals and quantities.
This is good for me : )
Like you, I too do the best if I don' change it up.

-do not try to balance overeating by extreme workouts, it is not going to work

Afternoon - is sure is quiet in here - I know that there are a few of us doing this program - how about everyone that is doing this program come and give an update.

I have had a couple of weeks (since last post) of slipping - and after looking at my food intake that I have recorded I see where my bright lines have not been as bright as they should be. So as of today I am back on track - going back to when I started the program (November 5 2019) and going to follow that week of eating and see what happens - though I have been eating healthy I was eating snacks and I know until I can get further along in getting the unhealthy weight off I can't afford to do this as much as I was doing - I have improved my health a lot with the 25 pounds I have lost but am a long way from goal. So now am back on track, working on 1 - 2 pounds this week (though I would be overjoyed to have it more like 3 pounds) and when I do hit 30 pounds released I will be heading back to the doctor for blood work to see just how much has been improved in that area.

So what about the rest of you - where do you see you need to make changes - if in maintenance are you staying in a healthy lea way range - if you are still in the weight loss part of the program - how are you doing. Have you been working the program for long? Or have you modified it some or a lot to meet your needs. I started modifiying it and discovered that that doesn't work for me. I just listened to some of the vblogs that came with the boot camp about doing this - and I can now see why Susan says not to make many changes to the program as it could stall your weight loss or even get you gaining some back. So I am back to the basics. Only change I have made re the weight loss plan is that I don't have the grain at breakfast but rather have it at supper.

Hopefully we can be a bit more active here - I know I get a lot of encouragement from the public facebook group (but it is a bit to large to may liking) but also am on 2 private facebook groups which really help. Just finishing up boot camp and then need to see / think about becoming a bright lifer depending on the cost or if they have a scholarship for it. But that is still 2 weeks I believe from now so a bit more time to think about it - but I must say I find that I really like the support of others doing the program - helps with staying on track.

But now I need to get of the computer (been on it for about 45 minutes) and need to get a few other things done - look forward to hearing from all active members here - and maybe a few that are not active will start up again! ! !

Has been a bit since I checked in - have had to really look at what I am doing and how much time is involved in being on the computer.

That been said, I do check in on Sparkpeople daily and will continue doing that. But the change I have made is I have cut way back on the groups I was involved in. And with the few that I am now on I don't necessarily post daily but am working out a plan to post at least once a week with an update on how things are going.

Also have had to do a lot of thinking about the BLE program - as we all know it is a great program and the one thing that I really like is there is no 'policing' on how you work the program. It is outlined as (1) 3 meals a day (2) no snacks (3) no sugar (no flour) (4) measure all foods. All the rest such as writing down the day before what you plan to eat is also a good line to have.

One thing I have added to my personal journey with this program is this
All food is permissible for me to eat but not all food is beneficial. I prefer to eat only beneficial food as I feel so much better when I do but I know that in the real world there could be a day or days that I might have sugar or flour or a snack. And that is ok - it is how I get right back on track is what counts.

Because I have been without sugar for some time now (105 days) I have found that one sweat and I get terrible digestion problems and the worst comes out in the arthritis. So I don't make a habit of that now as it is a lesson learned.

I do have a journal where I write down my food for the day - I am still doing this as I find this does help me especially when I get weighed on Tuesdays ( have a friend that weighs me to help with accountability). When the loss is lower than I would like it to be ( less than a pound ) I look back at the previous 2 weeks to see what I was eating and whether I could have made better choices. I don't get myself into the guilty stage as that does not help at all. But I note what I can do better and then work on doing that.

I have one friend that lives near me that is doing this plan and has lost 30 pounds in 5 months so it is good to have that 'buddy' person close - we meet up on Tuesdays to get weighed. Now 3 other ladies have asked questions, have bought the book and last Tuesday they asked if they could come over this week to ask questions on how to get started, and all of they said they have numerous questions about the food - how difficult the plan is to follow. So it will be nice to have others in person doing the program.

I have worked up the program using the 4 steps mentioned above and have twigged the vegetable part of the program somewhat also. I took the 20 oz of them that is mentioned and divided it between lunch and supper (10 oz at each meal) but in all honesty sometimes I go even a little lower as in 8 oz for each) Supper I work at making sure I have at leas 8 oz if not more. It gets a bit tricky though because I am not a veggy type of person so have to be very creative with them.

Have any of you looked up Kates Kitchen for recipes - it is recommend a lot on the official website for the program and I must say she has lots of great recipes. I am putting together a cookbook for myself with many of them in order that I can have easy access to things I know will work well with the program.

Tomorrow I officially get weighed - I will work at coming back to the group tomorrow to let you know how it went - am praying for at least 1 pound but will take whatever comes.

Looking forward to reading a few more messages as I see some of you have mentioned that you are 'starting over' with the program - so come and let us know how it is working for you.

Rachel, I love the ways you handled the white flour experience!
And I agree, we need reminders to keep going in the right direction sometimes.
It is so easy to forget about unwanted effects of flour... now you reminded yourself, and me too!

I'm doing well most of the time, except the occasional bad food day sometimes.
Minor deviations but not good for the mind nor the body.
The hot flushes are bothering me less, hardly at all when I eat really well.
I wake up once between 3 and 4 am, I put away my warm blanket and use summer sheet instead - it is hard to believe that it will be enough but it is, and I can go back to sleep. Not real deep sleep but resting anyway.

I wish you a wonderful weekend!

Hello Team! Hope everyone is well and healthy. This time of year after the rush of the holidays always seems to be a bit of a slump (after the initial New Year's high of new beginnings wears off...). If you are struggling to keep your lines and your motivation, know that you are in good company. This is the time to dig deep and to remember your long-term goals and that this is a marathon, not a sprint. Every bit of progress you are making, every good choice and NSV is a step in the right direction, helping you to build those new habits that will contribute to your overall success - so please don't let the small bumps along the way get you discouraged or throw you out of the race completely! You are more than your worst days! emoticon

I have been feeling the slump a bit myself lately, and pushing the boundaries a little too much. Actually ordered some NMF last weekend just because it was easy and convenient, and I just didn't feel like trying at the moment. It was actually the first time I had anything with white flour in it in several months. And boy, did I regret it! I think in the back of my mind I kind of doubted whether flour was really that bad after all - it's easier to identify with the addictiveness of sugar, but lots of people around the world live on bread, so something in me has felt like maybe I could eventually have some again. But after having that white flour, my stomach would not stay quiet! All day it kept trying to convince me that I hadn't eaten enough, that I was still hungry! I was under the spell of flour brain!! Thank God I recognized this quickly and just ignored it and ate my meals (my BLE meals after that!) as usual, and it went away after another day, but wow - lesson learned! emoticon

Which is also my point, that sometimes I think maybe we do need to "experiment" a little, if only to convince ourselves or remind ourselves of why we're doing this - why we're making this lifestyle change. And why it's something that's specifically for me, not someone else's lifestyle that I'm trying on. At some point each one of us needs to own this for ourselves - we need to know and understand what works for us personally, so we can continue forward with confidence and conviction. That is what will help us maintain in the long-term.

Praying for us all that we can continue to stay the course and be patient with this process. Please check in when you get a chance and let us know how you're doing - we are here for you! emoticon

Hi Rachel,
thank you! yes you are right, "not one single bite standing up" must be my 5th Bright Line!
In fact, as long as I keep this one up, I'm fine : )
I'm glad to hear you are finding out what works best for you, I'd love to hear more about it.

@KRISZTA11 Hi Kriszta! Thanks for checking in and letting us know how things are going. It's good to hear that your struggles are a far lower percentage than your successes, and that you are able to get back on track again. I think it's good to strive for perfection, but unrealistic to expect we will always achieve it - none of us are perfect! And even when we are perfect, life finds a way to throw us off balance. I love that you have been able to figure out what works for you and makes it truly your lifestyle now, not just a plan you are following. I've been trying to work those kinks out for myself as well, this past month has been a struggle but I feel like I'm learning more about what works for me and what doesn't, so that makes it worth it to me.

It sounds like you have a very strongly developed pathway that links stand-up eating to over-eating - is there a way you can set up a bright line for yourself in that area as well? (choosing never to eat standing up) Just a thought for something to try when you are having a more difficult time. :-)

Hi dear Team,
I'm so glad to see your posts!
emoticon

The past few months have been difficult for me on the food front.
The thing is, I seem to have two very different eating behaviors.
A) over 95% of the time I follow all 4 BLE rules and my Beck Diet solution skills, and I am Happy, Thin and Free.
Happy with my meals, happy with my high energy levels and good mood
Thin: maintaining my goal eight or dipping below
Free_ free form cravings and hunger, free form mindless chatter about food, basically never thinking of food outside meals
B) less than 5% of the time: I stumble and eat a bite standing up in the kitchen... and a chain reaction starts, with every bite making it harder to stop.
I'm still Thin - but definitely less Happy and certainly not Free.

I have been active here on SP for 9 and half years, planned my food in writing almost every day. meaning several months even years in a row. I logged in and tracked my exercise without fail every day.
That's a lot of tracking and I loved it, but it is getting old as I know my portions and meal combinations by heart.

Now I'm trying to decrease my routines, to find a golden middle way between the two extremes.

It is clear that practicing the 4 Bright Lines (No Sugar, No Four, Meals and Quantities) is essential for my well being and happiness.
Also essential are several of my Beck Diet Solution skills: eat slowly and mindfully, sitting down (not one bite standing), arrange my food environment, create time and energy, practice hunger tolerance, overcome cravings, get back on track immediately, deal with discouragement, respond to sabotaging thoughts, prepare for special & social food situations, eliminate emotional eating, solve problems, reduce stress...

On the other hand, I'll reduce or stop doing things that are not essential to my well being and happiness.
I stopped tracking my exercise (it has been the same for 9 years and I love it)
I stopped planning my meals in writing, and I choose my 3 meals from a menu, planning mentally only.
I stopped checking into SP several times a day - now it is only 3-4 times per week, to see what's going on in my teams and on my friend feed.
I stopped tracking my weight every day - now it is once weekly for the +-3 % maintenance challenge.

I hope this helps me focus on and doing better in the Essential activities, and avoid the rare but painful bad food days.

Just a short update. Today is my weigh in day. It has been 85 days that I started BLE - that is 12 weeks - and have lost 22.6 pounds. This week I was up 0.4 but due to the fact that I let stress re my hubby getting hurt and facebook getting hacked I did eat things I know are not the best for me. So today I am back on plan being 100% complaint.

I have been asked a number of times if I am going to eat this way the rest of my life. My answer is 'I am eating this way for today and I don't think about eating for tomorrow but I do no that when I go off eating as planned that the pain and aches come back full force within a couple of hours. So my choice and decision is 'yes I plan to be sugar and flour free the rest of my life but I also realize that one day I might have a bit or two of something off plan. But majority of time I will be eating healthy - not having sugar and flour feels much better than the pain it brings on when off plan.

Look forward to hearing from all of you - encouraged that some of you have stepped out and shared and I am hoping that you will continue to do so.

My challenge for the group for the following 7 days:
This coming week (7 days) eat 3 meals with no snacks. Don't worry about sugar or flour just have 3 meals no snacks, recording all that you have eaten. Then come and share how it went for you - did you lose weight? How did you feel while eating this way?

Ok let's see how many will do this weekly challenge

Hello everyone! Wow, here I was thinking things had gotten pretty quiet with our group, then I check in to post my weight and, lo and behold, there are 4 new posts in our chat! Which was a great reminder to me to subscribe to this discussion thread since I hadn't done so yet, lol! Just a little PSA: subscribing to the threads you participate in means you will be sent an email anytime the thread is updated with a new post, so you can stay current on discussions.

@MARILYNS481, how is your dear hubby doing? Praying he will have a swift recovery (and not too many bruises!)!

@OHMEMEME and @MAMADEE016, good to hear from you! Thank you for sharing where you're at, let us know if there's any way we can help and encourage you on your paths. Personally I also have not resolved in my brain that I will never have sugar or flour again, I just take it each day at a time and make the choice for that day and the next. Telling myself I can totally have that sugar or flour if I really want it has actually had the opposite effect on me - it makes me conscious of the fact that I actively choosing not to have that food in this moment because of my larger goals. It actually feels empowering in my case rather than limiting. But I am also a 6 on the addictivity scale, so it may not be as crippling to me if I actually did have something (although I'm not willing to risk it at this point). We each have to figure out what works best for each of us, but this is what I've found helpful in case it helps anyone else. emoticon

@KRISZTA11, hope all is well, check in when you get a chance emoticon

@TIGERSPEECH, how is the 14-day challenge going?

I've been doing ok lately, getting a little better about writing down my plan ahead of time for the next day (but still not perfect). One thing I've noticed lately, however, is that I've been feeling much hungrier than usual in between meals, and sometimes when I finish a meal I still feel a bit hungry, whereas before I felt completely satisfied. I'm wondering if this is still a lingering effect from the liquid fast I did with my church a couple of weeks ago - my body's way of yelling at me to eat more food. It is reminding me of when my cat yowls and yowls at me when her dish is empty, even though it's not her feeding time yet. Although thankfully my stomach hasn't yet learned how to knock things off shelves to get my attention, lol!! Still, it's really annoying and distracting, and I honestly have caved in a couple times and had a little extra protein to try to squelch it. I'm reaaaalllly, really trying not to do that though if I can help it, because I don't want my system to start thinking this is the new normal and stop dropping the weight. I'm hoping if I just stick this out a little longer my brain will stop panicking and stop sending those hunger signals to my stomach again during the wrong times. I will keep you posted on how this is going.

Excited to think how transforming this new year of 2020 is going to be for all of us! Can't wait!!! emoticon emoticon emoticon

Been a week since I posted - looks like we are all taking a bit of a break - would be nice to hear from more of you - helps to know that there are others here doing this program.

How about coming and sharing what day you are on? How about sharing what one day of food that you consume when you are 100% complaint - always like looking for different ideas.

Afternoon everyone - hope you are all doing well and that the weather is starting to improve in your area of the world.

My dear hubby had a horrible fall yesterday due to ice. He is pretty sore and stiff and am sure it is going to take about 2 weeks before he is completely back to normal as there is a lot of swelling - just thankful that he didn't get hurt more than he did.

Today is my official weigh in day - down another 0.8 pounds giving me 23 pounds in 78 days (10 weeks) and tomorrow I start week 11. So am pleased with the progress so far.

Am on week 4 of Boot Camp - loving all the modules (videos) that come with it as they do explain more about the program and helps somewhat to keep on track. And with boot camp you get to download the videos and keep them for later use which is nice.

You will have noticed that the last forum of the group is for BLE foods and recipes. This is the place to share foods that are complaint with the plan and recipes that follow same. Please make use of it adding recipes as you try them.

Unfortunately the response to my last email to the team has not been as I had hoped - I had thought maybe there would be more interest in the group but out of 223 members I believe only 5 have responded and the comments seem to go toward not really following the program but will read message and maybe participate. Truthfully it would be nice to have all member participate but I do understand. Guess I am just coming from where I am at - I down sided the teams I was on - clicking on 'leave the team' to ones that I just did not feel the connection and now am down to a small handful that I can participate on regularly without taking up a lot of 'hours on Sparkpeople/computer time. So I would like to encourage all that are members of this group to please consider participating at least once a week sharing where they are in the program. As one of the leaders just would like to have a better count as to activity level / commitment to the group.

At any rate am enjoying the program, enjoy the encouragement from the few members here and the people I have befriended on facebook that are doing the program. Learning lots.

Am going to see if I can put up a link to an interview SPT did with a fellow named James - it was quite the interview - well worth listening too.

So if you are doing the program please come and share - it really is encouraging when you do.

Hi there!
Iím Tricia. Not an active team member but still check in occasionally. I have followed SPT through vlogs and emails for a few years as I found her recommended here by Sparkers. I read the book from my online public library for free. Enjoyed. I committed to the basic bright Lines of no sugar/flour, weigh measure allotted portion/exchanges from Oct 2018 thru Feb 2019 = 5 months without many deviations and lost about 18 lbs to slightly below goal. However, total abstinence of sugar/flour was not realistic for me. I slip slides my way back into old behaviors and regained. I do reincorporate and blend those principles along the many others Iíve accumulated to manage my weight. Iím just not totally sold on the ďaddictĒ and ďforever abstinence.Ē I do know that I feel better and mind chatter is quieter with BLE. Iíve posted here and blogged my way in, out, and through this process.
I appreciate Spark contributions for BLE. I do not foresee ever investing in any of SPT paid resources. Best wishes to the team and each member!

A decision made about how much to weigh is a decision made on how to live. (KANOE) I have decided.

Hi Marilyn,

I've been out of town and not able to get online too much for the last month or so.

I am still wanting to do BLE - and I'm not doing so bad on the flours part... 5 or 6 days out of 7 I avoid all grains/flours. Sugar is .... ugh emoticon

While I was gone, I had several talks with one of my brothers about IF (intermittent fasting). He's doing it for health, not weight loss. He's finding it's working quite well for him.
I'm almost certain I've read & possibly watched Susan Peirce Thompson talk about people doing IF with BLE. I've not had time to find those emails or videos yet. And I still don't have her book(s). But it's on my to-do list. emoticon

A friend has given me the book, "The Obesity Code" by Jason Fung, MD. He's a practicing Nephrologist in Toronto Canada who is successfully using IF to treat many patients, and not just those with kidney problems. He also has many YouTube videos & does many interviews about this subject. He does also agree that the modern uses of flours & sugars is a huge contributing factor to the obesity epidemic we're seeing now.

That's all I'll say on that doctor in this forum. emoticon

I do also like your "one day at a time" motto - used to have that on a keychain! Maybe that concept is something that will help me now, especially with sugars! Thanks for mentioning it again!

Morning team mates. Hope you are all having a great day.

I have gone to a number of sparkpages to say hi and to encourage you to come and participate - hopefully you are still using Sparkpeople and are still interested in this group. Please email me if you are no longer doing BLE so that we can update our member list

A little about me. I am a senior and have been overweight for more years than I like to admit. Tried pretty much all things out there to release the weight - except giving up sugar and flour.

Officially started BLE way of eating on November 5 2019. This gives md 77 days following the plan and today I am finishing up week 10 since starting the program and am working on week 4 of doing a boot camp.

I have been successful so far - having lost 24.2 pounds as of today - tomorrow is my weigh in so will be putting up a chart with that amount. Originally I was not going to do the Boot Camp as I have been doing so well. But am glad I decided to do so. Applied for the scholarship and got the cost way down which fit better into my budge. Each week of the bootcamp you get modules from Susan and they are really helpful. You get to download these modules and keep the videos for later use. So worth it.

I do the program pretty much as laid out - 3 meals, no snacks, no sugar and no flour. I write out my meals the night before and then in the morning I commit to what I have written down. I take it one day at a time mainly because when I think 'no sugar or flour forever' makes me want to go off plan but when I think 'just for today no sugar no flour' well one day is easy right - and as we all know tomorrow never comes as when you 'get up tomorrow guess what it is today.'

I also measure my food - I have my digital scale right beside the stove so as the food is going to come off the stove it goes onto the scale for me and all is well. Hubby found this a bit difficult at first but it has become a habit now.

As for eating out - I know what I can have and stick to it. We have 3 different restaurants that we go to that will cook the food according to how I need it to be done. So though it is better to eat at home it can be done.

You will see that there is a thread called 'helpful links' = have a few put up there and will add more to it as time goes on - hopefully they will help - and that having them all in one thread does make for easy finding them.

We to have a forum called BLE foods and recipes - as we have another thread for recipes - I will over the next few days take the recipes posted from the older thread and put them into the new one. Hope you will find them interesting - and should you find a BLE recipes that is in complaint with the program please post it.

Am hoping that many will come out of 'hibernation' and start posting but not meaning to think negative I think a lot of our members are no longer using Sparkpeople or this great program. Would really like to get a better number on how many are actually doing the program and willing to participate.

Looking forward to hearing from everyone

I have started this new Chat Room thread because when I looked over all the threads it seems we have a few places to just 'chat' - so thought it would help if we had one for general chatting.

Am in the process of going to all sparkpages and saying hi reminding you to come and share - I am assuming as you are still members of this group that you are (1) still using Sparkpeople and (2) still doing BLE.

Would be nice to have more members participate -so if you are still with us and interested please come say hi.
