Hello all,
Just thought I'd pop in and say Hi. We really enjoyed those last couple days. It gets me thinking about gardening and what we want to put in this year. Now the snow is flying a little bit, but like some of you have said.. Bright colours are on thier way. Can't wait!

I just looked off the dock and the next big shipment is springtime \o/

Have a good day.

P.S Anjay.. how are you liking the new tablet? what did ya get?

-Ron

They say variety is the spice of life -- and we surely got lots of that in this past winter season. And there's more of it to come. I agree with the "mud" analysis. I see the footprints when I move the green compost bin for collection. Before I saw snowprints. Which is better? emoticon

Hi Anjay, and everyone in beautiful Nova Scotia

Spring is coming. I can see the ice breaking up in the cove. the birds are coming around more and the squirrels are chasing each other. Also the ducks are starting to pair off for nesting season. The one reason I know spring is almost here is the mud.lots of mud

How I love this province with its variety

Two days in a row with beautiful sunshine. Oh boy. I am so glad to know that spring is just around the corner. I was shopping yesterday for my two youngest grand daughers and all the spring clothes are out - they are so bright and colorful. Bought some for the girls and the bright colors brightens everyone's mood.

A little mess coming on Monday - so I hear - but it won't last.

Enjoy the week but stay safe everyone. emoticon emoticon

have missed you all so much this weekend, but hard to get on a laptop at the moment, Janos` almost confessed to damaging my notebook by saying he would chip in for a tablet or me, his way of apologizing, I find it frustrating but he has been that way since a little boy. Hubby would like to purchase a tablet for me tomorrow when we are in city but he is not working as yet and I don't want to go into our savings so a bit difficult at the moment here. On the up note this has made me make the decision to sell my eliptical it is only 8 months old, but I don't use it as iI am allowed 7 minutes on it.
Rambling here sorry ave a great day.

It was nice to have rain this past storm instead of all snow. Just a few more weeks and we should be finished with the snow for this season.

I think Nova Scotia is still a beautiful province even after all these storms.
Hope everyone is safe and having no problems with the ice.

Anjay I hope your PC problem gets fixed soon.

I think we may have struck a deal, we finally found the house and we are going back and forth trying to hash out a number. Now its up to the bank.

Weight loss has slowed again. but I had a good couple weeks there. I'm use to the stalls now so I'm not freaking out.. just enjoy the burn when I can :)

Sorry to hear about your laptop Anjay.. if you PM me the details about it I may be able to help fix it or get you the best deal. just let me know.

What a beautiful sunny day..may go for walk ..maybe :).

We didn't get the storm so bad (in the valley anyway) was very happy to see it had melted off my driveway by morning. Now the ice....
Supercenter had lobster tails on for 2.99 ea. What a pleasant change from chicken. Chicken was on sale a few weeks ago so we loaded up. It has been the only lean meat I have been eating so the lobster is extra tasty.

We are suppose to get ice next so be careful and try and keep warm :)

Have a blessed day!

Hi folks,
Sorry I'm not on here too much now.
I had to go to Halifax for court today. I have to go back on March 3.

My oldest granddaughter is out of the hospital and is staying in Halifax for now so I go in to see her at least once a week. Lots of walking in there as it is hard to find a parking spot close to where she is.
I am now a mommy-grammie as my two youngest grand daughters have been placed in my care permanently.
I get lots of walking trying to get everything done in the day but cooking is not always the healthy food we should be eating. However I'm still getting smaller numbers on the scale so I guess that's good.

Anjay you will have such a beautiful kitchen once you are finished, I'm sure. Every time you look at it you can reflect and say to yourself I did that and be proud of it.

I haven't logged in here in a couple days. There is too many houses on the market.. but I think we are going to put an offer in on one tonight. There was a older couple that had appointments in Halifax so we went to Deep Brook to get them and take them to the city. Sundays are always busy :)
and some how through it all I hit an inferno stage and I'm loosing weight steady again. I am seeing that goal weight by April for a 100 lb loss

Anjay we would love to see picks when your done. If our offer is accepted we will have a lot of projects to do I may need inspiration :)

Have a blessed day folks!

Hi everyone, Just reading the latest posts from all. It seems we all still have white yards Today sunshine is so beautiful. It called me outside to hang out the clothes and I think they are drying and not just freezing. : )

Guess what everyone. It is only 40 more days until spring.

Thanks Anjay for keeping up the leadership of this team.

Have a wonderful week everyone.

Ron, my problem is drinking too much water lol, but I do love my coffee also, I used to love snow shovelling but unable to do it now because of a car accident,
we had more snow yesterday, we cannot get over how heavy it is here in B.C it was light and powdery.
Hopefully Ron no more shovelling snow for a while

Good morning!
I have to admit I've grown tired of shoveling my drive way, but it is definitely a calorie burn. It's been a challenge getting the water in to me the last day or so. When it's cold or I get busy I simply forget.. I know how good the water is for keeping hydrated and flushing toxins I just forget. If coffee counted I'd be set. I just can't go without my Tim's :) which means I need even more water Uhhh what a viscious circle :)
So the word for the day.. WATER . NSMooma while your legs are up keep the water flowin.. that means more potty but you'll keep the blood flown too!

Have a great day! don't for get the water :)

What a great start to February!, we had a couple really nice days that encouraged a walk. Stepped on the scale and lost 5 lbs overnight.. I had to double check as I thought my scale finally broke. So I'm down 65lbs!! who hoo!
I'm glad I found this little group of Nova Scotians here it's nice to know there are others nearby facing challenges and seeing successes too!

sorry Anjay I didn't see any notifications, but I'll go looking now!.
4k - our yard went from white to brown over the weekend too! pretty muddy in the valley!
Have a great day all!

Hi Nova Scotians.
I am finally ( I think emoticon ) getting my household into a routine that we can all live with. There are many special needs here but as long as we try to face things together as a family we can get through this crisis.

Celebration emoticon Today I got out for a walk for the first time since Jan. 5. It felt so good to be out in the fresh air and mud. Oh I did enjoy a very brisk 30 minute walk.
Hoping I can make it again tomorrow after or before a trip to Halifax.

Does everyone have a muddy yard or is your lawn still white?

Have a great week everyone!!1 emoticon

As I was reading these posts today I thought I'd agree with some points. Yes, Nova Scotia has some beautiful places to see, the people are friendly and the pace of life in the smaller communities can't be beat.
Hope everyone enjoys the new month we are starting.

Thanks team leaders for putting the groundhog picture up for the team. He looks like he is NOT going to see his shadow - I hope. : )

Hi

I live in a small community along the South Shore but inland a bit. We love it here, having moved home from Ontario, almost 11 years ago. I was born and raised in a beautiful small town along the shore a bit further.

I have been with Spark People 2 years and am on my weigh down and finally walking. For health reasons, I have not been able to walk, much. I am now getting a bit better. I have a good friend who will keep after me and walk with me.

I just want to drop in and say hi and touch base with this group.

Have a great weekend.

What a beautiful day. We went walking some and it wasn't long before my jacket was off.
Also I think we have found a potential home.. it's on South mountain so we can see the valley, but it gets us a little close for our visits to the south shore.

Anjay. we like wolfville as well, if you ever come up maybe you can meet my wife and I at Tim's.. bring a little "spark" to poshville :)

Just checkin' in hope you are all enjoying the day!

Good morning!!!
Anjay - We absolutely love the south shore.. right now our jobs are keeping us in the valley, but I can definitely see the shore in our future :)

Bex.. you are so right about the people. There is still a community feel here and we love that! we have met so many wonderful folks here it's really been a blessing.

I'm moving close to losing 70lbs.. I'm turning up the heat this weekend and really pushing through.. Water, Walking and Weightlifting is my theme for the next month :)
I am just 30 lbs away from my goal weight

Have a great weekend guys!

hi go2gsus, hope you get a chance to look at houses on the south shore, we moved here just over 15mths ago to alittle village close to Bridgewater, and we love it, it is so beautiful.
Hi everyone still not up to par yet, my nose is streaming today, and my chest feels like it has been run over by a snow plow, but I am still here.

Good morning everyone! emoticon

I hope that you are getting the opportunity to see some of the coastal communities on your house hunting journey GO2GSUS, there are so many lovely little communities and towns throughout the province. I always find that it is the people that make the place so special (aside from the scenery!) In the past year I have moved from inside the city core to one of the lovely little communities about 35 minutes outside of Halifax- for me it's like coming home since I grew up in one of those small places.

Enjoy NS!

I challenge everyone to brave the weather and get out and walk this weekend! Fresh air always makes me feel fantastic after a long day at work.

Laters,
Bex

What a beautiful province to walk in. We have been out and about looking to buy a home. Between getting in and out of the car a hundred times ( almost like squats) walking different properties, climbing stairs, getting around to all these places, I'm getting my 10,000 steps. All this exercise and a tour of the valley to boot. It's been a good couple of days.

SOBERISLANDGIRL.. good for you for gettin out there, even in this cold!

Hey my fellow Nova Scotians! emoticon

Started a brisk walking regime this past week- and even have been doing some jogging with my lovely little border collie. She makes an excellent jogging partner and does not mind the cold at all! emoticon

Tonight I am attending my first BODYSHRED class- very exciting, and terrifying! I've been attempting the 30 day shred and it's been kicking my butt!! emoticon

I'll let you know how it goes- for now, stay warm everyone!!

Just dropping in to say hello. Very tired as we had 3 trips to Halifax over the weekend. I sure hope things calm down soon.
