I'll walk or run down to about 5 degrees or so. And I would probably do colder if I was dressed appropriately. I think it was two weeks ago or three maybe when my friends and I ran and the windchill was maybe 5. One of my friends had frost in her hair.

If it is icy or there is lightning I will do the treadmill - and this season I have had to use it a few times because of ice. I go to the Y sometimes too.

I remember my doctor telling me after I had esophagus surgery that I had to do outdoor activity every day no matter what the weather - he didn't care if it was raining or snowing or hot or cold. I try to do that but am not always entirely successful.

What is your go to activity when it is too cold to be outside?

I will go to the Y or exercise insideó mostly walking and easy to do without equipment exercises!

I always exercise outdoors if I can....rain, cold, etc. No ice or lightning though! Lately I have been kind of wimpy about it....it's been so much colder than usual and of course, we had SNOW, yikes, we don't usually get that here, and it is scary, haha! But anyway, today it is beautiful and I went running this morning, four miles with friends, and then coffee after that. I might go to a yoga class this afternoon, of course that will be indoors.

I like our Historic Society Museum. Three or four years ago I went and they were having a "Toys of the 50's, 60's, and 70's on display. Each" living room, " was decorated with furniture of that era. The T.V. had toy commercials from that time. I'll never forget when we sat down on the couch in the "60's" living room, the T.V. played the Mystery Date commercial! It brought back such fond memories. I wanted that game so badly, never got it. It was the best time that I've had at a museum for a while. I love to go back in time!

It depends on the museum. The other day I saw the Guggenheim on TV and I thought that I want to go back there. Its been a while. There is a local museum that has an exhibit called "History is Weird". I want to check it out

It definitely does depend on the museum. I enjoy art museums and science museums, some historical museums...but in all honestly, I cannot remember the last time I visited one!

Museums - love em? Hate em? When was the last time you went?

It depends on the museum. Some are fantastic and very interesting others donít peak my interest. The last time I visited a museum was last winter when I was in Arizona.

I guess I am pretty modern but I do still like to make and send Christmas cards each year! Unfortunately some years I can't do to time constraints. This year I did make some and sent them but they were more like New Year's cards because they were late! Ha!

Receiving something in the mail is still good. I write some letters and do send cards the old fashioned way. Though I love e mailing too. It keeps me in touch with family and friends ,
I am also in a book club, we read a real book monthly

I like to mail cards (birthdays, anniversary, thinking of you etc). I just think it is a more personal touch instead of email cards.

What is something you like to do the old fashioned way?

I prefer to talk on the phone and I absolutely hate the automated phones many companies have. Some of those take 15-20 minutes to get to a real person!
Iím not good at texting and have to write out the words- canít use ďuĒ for you!

Yes. I put in a CD, turn it up, and walk circuits all around the first floor. My current favorite is Home Free, a country a cappella group. My other favorite is ABBA, their greatest hits album.

I totally exercise to music, all kinds! Sometimes I want to be calm and I have a playlist called Peaceful Easy Feeling with things like [of course] the Eagles, or Jefferson Starship. I also have some Playlists that are for running and those have things like Green Day and The Killers....then I have some for around the house, like the Beach Boys or the Carpenters. I don't watch TV...ever. But music, that keeps me very happy!

I prefer to be five to ten minutes early, however, with the increase in traffic around here, I find myself late occasionally, which I really don't like to be late at all! Being on time is barely acceptable, I like that bit of cushion!

Running clothes and running shoes and another set of clothes to wear to the gym...never know when the opportunity to exercise will come so must always be ready! Also the heart rate strap for my Garmin and my Road ID. Water, always carry water, and snacks, plenty of healthy snacks. In our cars, blankets because I always bundle up, even in the summer when it’s hot and even if I’m driving.

I have some goals and I am going to be writing them down to help me stick with them...and they will be very specific and realistic. But in general, I just need to get back on track. I used to walk every day at lunch time and I have let my job take over my life and I work through lunch with no breaks....that has caused some back issues. I think I will be getting a stand up desk (got a doctor's note) and I am committing to walking every day again. Also, I used to plan my workouts a week ahead of time based on my schedule, my husband's schedule and the weather - I have gotten out of that habit too so now anything goes. I will be scheduling my workouts again and I have committed to getting back to eating mostly vegetarian foods.
