Wishing everyone well with their intermittent fasting... I'm starting back into it along with a Keto meal plan. (First time Keto plan for me)

One interesting note I've recently read is that when we exercise just before ending a fast our bodies make the most of the movement (resistance or cardio). Guess they're saying for the most bang for your exercise buck is to work out just before going into an eating mode.

My goal is to lose 10 pounds in 2020... certainly doable. Slow and steady right?

Cheers everyone!

My goal for December is to stay at my current weight or less. I am still fasting 2 days a week (today for one) as before, but my activity is down, and I do know I will indulge in some treats this month. I head South right after Christmas; so I should be able to fully follow my regimen again.

My goal for December is to reach the goal weight I set as a target earlier this year. I am on track if I stay the course. Just one milestone on a very long journey, but it's a special one. Of course our bodies don't always lose pounds and inches on our schedule. However we can make conditions conducive to allowing our bodies to work their special magic. Our bodies want to be healthy.

I plan to reach that goal by sticking with IF and OMAD as much as possible this month, even with all the extra eating opportunities. It may include a little more fasting than the usual plan.

I eliminated sugar awhile ago but I will have one piece of birthday cake for a special family member's birthday.

What are your goals for December?

My goal for this holiday week is to add an additional (5:2) fast day (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday). I will practice moderation (one-plate) for Thanksgiving.
I am absolutely crazy about OMAD and can't imagine doing anything else.

My goal for November is fasting 2 days a week ( Monday and Thursday - I will make a switch for Thanksgiving and fast the day after). As my weight loss is slowing down a bit, I have a modest goal of -5 lbs. for the month, especially with Thanksgiving looming. We decided to go out to dinner for the holiday so we don't have to deal with oodles of leftovers. Stuffing and pumpkin pie my downfall!

@PAINT-THE-WORLD Thanks! I've actually decided to postpone my 72 hour fast until next week. I wasn't paying attention to when AF is supposed to pay me a visit when I scheduled it and I just checked today and she was supposed to be here yesterday (I'm irregular sometimes, so no cause for concern). I have been trying to get some good solid information on fasting while on your cycle and from what I gather (thus far) it's not the best idea to do a "prolonged fast" (I know it's only 72 hours, but it's longer than my normal OMAD). I'm not going to take any chances at this point, since I don't feel like I have enough information. It's okay for me to just reschedule. :)

One of the reasons that I like to break my fast with a green smoothie is because it really takes the edge off of my hunger. I don't feel ravenous after drinking it and I'm able to enjoy my meal. Just thought I'd mention that in case you'd like to try it too @PAINT-THE-WORLD :)

Wow, good luck! Let me know how the 72 hour fast goes.

I overdid it the other day - usually I have my OMAD around 5pm but went hiking in the afternoon with my daughter (4 miles, strenuous, 18 total floors) without having eaten and then ate at around 7pm. I was not hungry at all during the hike but by 7pm I was feeling it and I know I overdid it because I had huge food cravings all the next day (my planned day off from omad) that I don't usually have and ate stuff I normally wouldn't.

Congratulations on your loss, @PAINT-THE-WORLD emoticon

My IF goals are 5 days of OMAD, 2 days of 16:8 weekly. My 16:8 days will be Tues & Thursday. My other goal is (1) 72 hour fast per quarter of the year. I'm planning my 72 hour fast for this quarter to start Monday, Oct. 2nd after my OMAD and conclude Thursday Oct. 5th with a breaking OMAD that evening.

That's exactly what I used to do (except I also took 1 day off). Turns out I really had trouble doing the 36 hour fast. If I kept up with it for several weeks it got easier but as soon as I missed a week or 2 it became much harder again. I really love OMAD - for me, this is very sustainable for the long term.

I just restarted 2 weeks ago and have lost 3 pounds (I lose weight slowly - even right at the beginning). But knowing that there is no end to this way of eating anyway (even when I hit my goal weight) I am ok with that. Need to be patient.

Good luck!

Lots of changes this month. Doing my best to weather thru them.... I find when things are stressful, I hunker down into the goal of maintenance mode (not ruining the progress I've made)
