Whether starting fresh or continuing ...

Choose a Province you wish to walk across from the list below. Each day record how many steps, miles and/or km you have covered by walking or running. (Biking may be an option too.) Take that number and subtract it from the total. You can track your distance using a pedometer, google maps or similar options that give you the approximate distance. *See below.*

Trans Canada Trail

Alberta - 2,200 km or 1,367 miles (approx. 2,734,000 steps)
BC - 2,700 km or 1,677 miles (approx. 3,354,000 steps)
New Brunswick - 820 km or 509 miles (approx. 1,018,000 steps)
Ontario - 4,000 km or 2,485 miles (approx. 4,970,000 steps)
Quebec - trails in progress, currently approx. 1,200 km or 745 miles (approx. 1,490,000 steps)

Manitoba - 1,188 km or 738 miles (approx. 1,476,000 steps)
Nova Scotia - 700 km or 434 miles (approx. 868,000 steps)
Newfoundland & Lab - 900 km or 559 miles (approx. 1,118,000 steps)
Northwest Territories - 640 km (for land, 4,000 km for water) or 397 miles (for land, 2,485 miles for water) (approx. 794,000 steps)
Nunavut - in progress
PEI - 350 km or 217 miles (approx. 434,000 steps)
Saskatchewan - 1,400 km or 869 miles (approx. 1,738,000 steps)
Yukon - 1,600 km or 994 miles (approx. 1,988,000 steps)

TOTAL trail length = 15,718 km or 9,766 miles (approx. 19,532,000 steps)

(Above calculations are based on the average of 2000 steps per mile.)

Miles throughout the day.. this is an ongoing challenge. So we will carry the miles over each month.

@HOMEBODY4EVER71 do the only miles that count are those earned in our exercise or all miles throughout the day? Also, since I obviously can't complete a province in the last 5 days of this month do I just carry the miles left over into July?
