I got the Polar F6 for Christmas and love it. My workouts since getting it have been more intense and I think it is because now I can see my targets and listen to the alarms/monitor.

I have the polar F6 I believe, and I LOVE it. lost it for awhile, and I really wasn't as motivated to go out and do my runs. and since I'm doing run/walk intervals the fact it has a light on it is very useful. It will also calculate out how long you were in your target zone as well as the percentage of cals you burned up that was fat.

It just depends what will motivate you and why you are wanting one. I desperatly wanted to know how many calories I was burning, and to also make sure I wasn't pushing myself too hard.

Accomplished!

Once I found out that my heart was in my target range (at the gym with their monitor) and I was breathing heavy, I could gage it by how hard i was breathing. I didn't use my own monitor. However i did use the stop watch part to try to better my time. So i didn't use all the "bells and whistles".

Well I ran with it. It seems to be very accurate. The band around your chest keeps a running tab on everything. It does not however have a stop watch like my other one. So it depends what you want out of it. Accurate HR, calories burned, fat burned, training time all are reported with the chest band. The one without the band also gives you stop watch and a training timer but you have to check your HR by pushing a button every so often. Both are great. Hope all this helps.

I have a walmart watch that is HR monitor/stop watch/cal counter/chronological timer and I love it. Only cost $25.00.
I got a Polar FT7 for Christmas and will use it today so I'll let you know how it works. I think its kind of pricey,

I love mine... I just have a cheap WalMart special - I think it was under $30. I didn't want to shell out $100+ on my first one not knowing if I would use it, etc.

I have 'tested' my HRM against state of the art gym equipment, and I have found it to be very accurate and the calories burned are WAY higher than what Spark trackers estimate for me!?

I highly recommend them!

I have a Polar F4 heart rate monitor. I find it to be very motivating. I think everyone should have one.
