Hope all are having a great weekend. So far mine has been fantastic....staying on track and staying within my caloric range. Even going to a festival Friday night I had planned what I would be indulging in there and didn't falter. So proud of myself. Sat. and Sun. were uneventful and allowed me to avoid temptations while cooking some really good food at home. This sparking is finally coming together for me!

Brandi, have a great time!

This weekend I'll
- finish unpacking & do my laundries, getting the home back in some semblance of order.
- dance every day and stationary bike every day.
- Friday and Sat. I will have at least 10,000 steps, but I MUST make most of Sunday a rest day.
- drink lots of H2O all day every day.
- eat freggies and protein at every meal, and absolutely no chocolate candy! None! I mean it now!

Taking my DS & his girl to the movies, but I'll bring my own snack of nuts & craisins and choose divinely healthy items from the restaurant menu.

This weekend I am taking my hubby to a bed and breakfast for his b-day. I will take some fruits, veggies and lots of water with me. I will enjoy the nice breakfast that they serve, and I am sure I will also enjoy some ice cream on the Blue Bell tour. I will not binge, I will not go overboard. I will not come back with regret.

my goal for the week end is to be aware of everything that I put into my mouth. Our family is going camping and there will be junk. Lots of it. lol emoticon
I am taking berries, nuts and cantaloupe for snacks. I will eat oatmeal for breakfast. buying light hot dogs, and I do plan to eat a smore at night.
I will plan on avoiding chips like the plaque.
I am putting on my pedometer (great idea ) and I will also shoot for 10,000 steps 2 out of 3 days.

I know that the weekend is already half over, but this is my plan for today:

*Eat a Jenny Craig lunch before taking my husband out for lunch for Father's Day. Then I will have a tea at the restaurant and if I am still hungry I plan to have a salad.

*Tonight we are going to a relatives to celebrate Father's Day with my Dad and his family. I plan to fill my plate mostly with veggies and eat a small amount of meat. I plan to skip dessert and have a cup of tea instead.

Here's hoping that I will stick to my plan-I know I can, I know I can, I know I can!!

My weekend goals are the usual: Plan/prep all meals in advance (& STICK TO THE MENU!), stay toward the low end of my calorie range, and go to the gym on Saturday. I will also do a workout DVD on Sunday, the day I usually take off. I want to be down one more pound by Monday to reach my birthday goal on 6/7. Good luck to all of us! We can do it!

I am a brand new member and this weekend accountability challenge is just perfect!

My weekend challenge is:
1. Stay within my calorie range - WATCH MY PORTIONS!!
2. Track my food.
3. Get my workouts in and drink my water.
4. Do something nice for myself.
5. Don't isolate or binge (my partner is out-of-town this weekend!)
6. Pay attention to that small voice that says, "Pssst...wait a minute. Are you sure you want to eat that?" (I've ignored that voice so long, I'll really have to pause and listen..)

Once posted, it's for real! I'm a little scared and excited, too! I'll check in and let you guys know how I'm doing and see how you're doing! I joined the perfect team for what my life looks like right now! emoticon

Well, I did have the most cardio this weekend = 45 minutes. That is better than most weekends when I do none. I did not organize anything but I did a lot of baking. I put it in the freezer.

Okay, another weekend is here and the challenge is on.

My weekend goal is to end the weekend staying at the same weight I went into it at - .

I know this doesn't sound like much of a challenge but I have been struggling with my weight for quite a while now just to ensure it doesn't keep going up. So maintaining is a goal to achieve.

Saturday weight - 165.
Monday morning goal - 165 (or less)

Well, I think my challenge will be to have the most cardio and to organize something that hasn't been organized for sometime (probably one of my kitchen drawers).

My weekend challenges again are to log all of my food intake and to work out on Saturday with Kenpo X. (did not get that done last weekend). Brad (Hubbie) is working up a little workout for Sunday. With some kickboxing and sparring. WOOHOO!!! Miss my Tae Kwon Do days.

Chifang, my problem is the opposite...I can do 15k to 20k steps on weekdays, since I can make longer walks to work & be active at work, but on weekends I can't usually get to 7k...plus I know my body needs a day of rest.

My challenge this weekend is to do at least 15k between the two days.

My weekly challenge is planning and making the meals all week. No eating out or buying extra food. Use what I have and make the best, healthiest meals I can. It's a little challenging with two kids who are sooo picky.

So far this week, I have done well with the meals. Just have to keep it going!

Weekly challenge: Walk at least 10,000 steps a day.
I've been wearing a pedometer daily, I was able to make 10,000 steps on weekend, but on weekdays at work, it's really hard to keep on walking. I found out that if I walk 40 mins, that will give me 5,000 steps only. But I don't really have 40 mins spare time to walk since I get home so late after work and I just want to spend more time with my 22 month old son who is in no mood walking.

I'm with you on the prepackaged stuff.

With 2 kids in the house I know I have a few things to go through. My saving grace is that on of my children is sensitive to certain food coloring and artificial flavorings. My other is lactose intolerant.

I know I can probably cut out the hot dogs, and make homemade bread and tortillas instead of using the prepackaged ones.

Weekly Challenge: Cut back one processed prepared food or meal per day.
Typically I'll have cereal, bread, and/ or a microwave meal each day. This week I am going to try to cut back on my prepared food intake. Instead of cereal I'll eat steel cut oats, instead of a microwave meal I'll eat veggies and dressing with quinoa or bulger.
It will take some preparation time but it will be worth it.
Anyone else in?

Today is the beginning of my personal Weekend Challenge: Plan and prepare all my meals in advance like I do Monday-Thursday. I'm convinced this one small step will show big results on Monday! Wish me luck! And best wishes to all my fellow team members. Whatever our weekend goals are, we can do it!

This is the right thread for the challenges. We just recently had a transtion in Leadership from Aldana, who used to post them, to ASLTERPKELS (Kels) who took over. I'm guessing something has happended to prevent Kels from posting for the time being (hopefully nothing too terrible!)

In the meantime, we've been making up our own challenges. Here's an idea: what if each of us takes turns posting a new challenge. They have to be posted early on Thursdays & cover all three weekend days - Friday, Sat., Sunday - and add the Monday for a holiday weekend. If anyone feels they can't do that challenge, just pick a different one for yourself & tell us what you'll be doing.

Personally, we have a mini-vacation this weekend, so my goal will be to take full advantage of the hotel amenities- pool & exercise room, and get in plenty of movement while the rest of my family sits on their butts. Maybe I'll literally walk circles around them! Could be amusing.

For nutrition, I plan to keep track, diligently, of everything I eat or imbibe!

Ok, didn't think I could up the steps walked, but after a week of trying, I pretty much hit 12,000 every day!

Thanks for the challenge!
