I have had the Active 2 for about 3 days and my butt is DEAD!!! It has kicked my butt bad.. but I am getting up and doing it again!!!

I have not found a work out yet that makes me burn this many calories in 30 minutes, or sweat like I have the last 3 days....

I have hip hop abs and insanity and P90X!!! I love this game...

Sine I've been so sick I haven't exercised in almost two weeks. That Wii Active2 is just waiting for me so it can kick my butt again!

I've only done the WII Active once & it kicked my butt! I knew it worked since I could feel it for the next couple of days. I'm doing it again tonight, so wish me luck. I try to change things around so I don't get bored with exercise this time.

Be the best you can be every day!

Sounds like it is working for you!
I admit, I have become a wii junkie. I have always been an aerobic exerciser, but realized I needed to work other areas. I bought the wii fit as a means of indoor activity, and the EA Active. I am still working on those. I think I would like to add some of the dance videos for the sheer fun of it.

Wii Active2 is a great investment. It will keep me going for ages without boredom in the convenience of my basement. The first and so far only time I used it, I started out easy, let the program generate my workout that combined cardio and strength training, and in only 6 minutes I was toast! The program has 3 levels so there is room for lots of growth. I doubt I will ever reach it's full potential. I am actually sore today from thse little 6 minutes. Who would believe it?

Alright...I went out and bought the Wii Active2 yesterday and got it set up. My 1st training session will be when I am done here. I'll report back tomorrow.

Shame on me. I have Wii Fit and I have been using it faithfully. I bought Wii Sports at the same time and it is still in the box. Is the Wii Active really so much better?

I've been working out with Active also and really like it. The workouts are fun and not boring, the constant changing exercises keep my interest, and I love that it's like having a personal trainer guiding you.

I use it to mix up my workout. Some days I'll do it, other days I'll use some videos here on SP.

I just got the EA Active and did my first workout last night. I totally got my butt kicked but I really liked the workout. It was so much fun, I didn't even notice how hard I was working until I realized I was sweating like crazy! I also have Wii Fit, which I lost interest in and I had the Jillian Michaels game but I traded it back in because it was AWFUL! I would recommend EA Sports Active to anyone!

ASWEDANCEAWAY, If you can find it used at a game store, most of them have a 30 day return option. I was going to buy it new, but the clerk told me that there was only a 10 day return policy for it, but the used one had a 30 day return policy...although I won't be returning it! You could try it and if you don't like it, just take it back.

Sport77 ~ I haven't seen the World Gym one but I do have the Gold's Gym Cardio Workout and I really enjoy it. It is a good boxing workout and it also makes use of the balance board and has other exercises like jump rope, squats (balance board) and a few others. I find that after a half hour of the boxing and about 3 minutes of the jump rope I am tired and sore in a good way. I use it in conjunction with the Wii Fit and My Fitness Coach. I really would like the EA Active but I can't justify the cost right now.

I agree with the Wii Fit does get boring after a while. I thought of getting the EA Active or the World Gym one that is also for the Wii. Has anyone tried the World Gym workout?

JJ - It is definitely worth the money. The Wii Fit is very boring to me and I lost interest in it right away. However, the EA Active has kept my interest and let me tell you, the sweat just pours. They have a 30 day challenge but you can also choose from the many other present challenges, and even custom-make your own workout by choosing from the different exercises and sports drills. It's a blast!

I guess that's just another reason to break out the Wii Fit, too, Lessofmein2009. I found myself getting on the Wii Fit again (because I, too, lost interest in it over time) just to track my progress & do the balance test. I haven't had time to get into the workouts, so I think I'm going to hold off on the the Wii Active. I'm thinking when winter rolls around again I'll look into purchasing it, but I can't justify getting my workout in in front of the TV when it's so nice outside. And I've found a new love for the gym, so I spend a decent amount of time there.

Keep up the great work & keep us posted on your progresses on the Wii Active! I'd love to keep hearing everyone's thoughts on it.

I have the Wii Active and in the 6th day of the 30 day challenge. All I can say it that it will kick butt! I usually walk or jog on a treadmill so I wouldn't say that I'm in terrible shape... but those exercises on the Wii are challenging. Yes, the jumping lunges are very hard. I don't do those so well. But this ole' body isn't used to jumping much at all. emoticon I enjoy the sports on it. I wish it would track your weight like the Wii Fit does.

Hey All!

My husband picks on me because I seem to always want the newest workout game for the Wii. I have the Wii Fit (which I stopped using for months, but have gotten back into weighing myself and doing the balance test on it recently just to keep myself in check) & the Jillian Michaels game (which I'm not a fan of at all)... I also have DDR (which I am not good at, so I do it sloooowllly, which makes it feel like a sad excuse for a workout... so, I haven't really taken it out of the box much)... anyway, with that said, I now have all of these Wii games that I rarely play, so I've been hesitant to get My Fitness Coach & EA Active. However, I think I'm going to have to save my pennies for the EA Active because it sounds like a blast. Has anyone done the marathon training that was mentioned here? I want to raise my distance, but am having a hard time doing so... does it get really boring running a 5k in front of the TV??? I could imagine it would be, or do they try to make it fun?

I wish I could rent it before buying it. It sounds like a blast!!!

Hi All, my dd and I are about 3 weeks into the 30-day Challenge on EA Sports Active. We both love it. I'm not crazy about the jumping lunges either but I do them and I run like crazy to pass the others on the track. LOL! I'm okay at Basketball but the Volleyball is going to take some more work, I keep getting hit in the head with the ball or miss it totally. LOL! I find it has been a good compliment to the Wii Sports, Wii Fit, and My Fitness Coach for the Wii.

I am about a week into the 30 day challenge on teh EA Active. It is a better workout than the Wii Fit, but not quite as much fun when you're doing it with the kids.

Does anybody else have problems with the jumping lunges? I hate regular lunges and these jumping ones are horrible!

Hi...this sound like fun. Is this WII machine the one they play all the games on? And so you would buy the player (machine) then buy the WII Active or Fitness game to play in it. I've see WII on TV commercials but not in person. Thanks for any help. I am new to this team.

Hello Funnygranny,

I don't know much about wii active, but I do have the wii fit. And after having it for almost a year I decided to use it. The wii fit is like a game for the wii console. The Witt fit has different exercise activities to get you up off the couch and moving around. There are aerobic exercises such as running, the hula hoop and step aerobics. There is also yoga exercises that has a trainer to show you how to properly do the movements. Those are just some of the exercises it has. It comes with a balance board that you will need to use for most of the exercises. You use the balance board to step on and it record your movements as you move. The balance board is also used like a scale to help set up your profile. I estimates your weight and BMI, it also checks your balance. It's fun and I like it, it sure beats a pricey gym membership. Last night I tried it and I was doing the running exercise. I held the remote in my hand and ran in place; well needless to say I got tired real quick and just used my arm to move the mii character. I still got a work out with my arms. emoticon

I hope I don't sound stupid, but what is wii active and wii fit? When you look at that question, please remember I am a 70 year old Grandma and I am not up on all the new technology. It sounds like some kind of new workout CD or DVD. Sorry I have not responded to this post sooner, but there was a bad thunderstorm here last Friday night and we were without power for over 24 hours. And now my high speed internet connection is down so this is on dialup. Just respond to me on the message boards or send me Spark Mail, please.

Did it for the first time tonight it was not raining this morning so I did ride my bike. I'm really an outside person. Anyway so I did the active tonight, it took some getting use to, but i think I'm getting the hang of it and yes I love it and it's so much more a workout than the wii fit, I still use that for somethings, it has great core exercises, but the active will burn more calories.

I can do everything through him who gives me strength.

Hello! I got EA Active as a Mother's Day gift and have been doing the 30 day challenge for nearly 4 weeks. I LOVE IT! I liked Wii Fit, and still use it for some things, but am totally addicted. I finish my first challenge in 5 days, and am absolutely going to do another. I have firmed up, lost inches and pounds. I can't say enough about it.
Let me know what you think, Lesley.
Happy Sparking all,
ChelleW

I hope you like it. My husband was looking at it. It sounds far better than the WiiFit. Let us know what you think.
