re-read the one you put as "always worth reposting"... I need to print it. I needed to read that tonight. I'm going to take that advice and check in with myself and also go lay back down for at least 15 minutes and see if I can't fall back asleep. Thanks.

The last section of the article at the end of this Forum - taken a few steps at a time- good for me to read, review and understand and have at recent "finger tips" for myself and for my daughter. I hope this has helped someone else to break it down into manageable steps -

11. Have you moved your body to music in the past day? If not, jog for the length of an EDM song at your favorite tempo, or just dance around the room for the length of an
upbeat song.
12. Have you cuddled a living being in the past two days? If not, do so. Donít be afraid to ask for hugs from friends or friendsí pets. Most of them will enjoy the cuddles too; youíre not imposing on them.
13. Have you seen a therapist in the past few days? If not, hang on until your next therapy visit and talk through things then.
14. Have you changed any of your medications in the past couple of weeks, including skipped
doses or a change in generic prescription brand? That may be screwing with your head. Give things a few days, then talk to your doctor if it doesnít settle down.
15. Have you over-exerted yourself lately ó physically, emotionally, socially, or
intellectually? That can take a toll that lingers for days. Give yourself a break in that area, whether itís physical rest, taking time alone, or relaxing with some silly entertainment.
16. Have you waited a week? Sometimes our perception of life is skewed, and we
canít even tell that weíre not thinking clearly, and thereís no obvious external cause. It happens. Keep yourself going for a full week, whatever it takes, and see if you still feel the same way then.

Part 2 From Article "everything is awful and I am NOT ok ...Ask before giving up!!!" Go to the end of forum for links...I want to review these five at a time and number them for my learning and hope.it encourages others.
6.If it is daytime - are you dressed? Choose clean clothes and give yourself permission to wear something special - funny or pretty.
7. If it is nighttime, are you sleepy or fatigues but still resisting sleep? Put on your pajamas and get cozy in bed with Teddy bear or similar, put on recorded music of rain or ocean or whatever is your sound of peace and calm and then close your eyes for 15 minutes ...if still awake after that, you have permission to get back up .
8. Do you feel inefficient? Pause....get some small job or task COMPLETED. Then tell yourself "good job" or similar, journal it or share it with another.
9. So you feel unattractive? Take a selfie and post it - Friends will tell you that you are "lookin' good"...believe them!
10.Dio you feel paralyzed with indecision? Take 10 minutes and make a game plan.
If part of it is still a roadblock, set it aside and choose another or a part that is doable --
Break through! get through the stasis - even if it is a trivial, small thing. DO IT!!
YOU ARE STRONGER THAN YOU THINK YOU ARE ! !

1.Are you Hydrated? If not drink a glass of water
2.Have you eaten in the last 3 hours - Get in proteins: beef, chicken, nuts, hummus, cheese
3.Have you showered today - If not - do it!!! ***My daughter cannot stand the water touching her on bad crisis days - I encourage her to soak her hands in warm water, soak feet in warm Epsom salts water with sprinkle of essential oils...At the worst, turn on the shower and sit beside it!!! Something about falling water helps!?!! Or go sit beside a water fall in natureor fountain in home of park???
4.Stretch your legs...WALK!! Anywhere for any mount of time... the more positive and helpful the surroundings the better.
5.Have you said something NICE to someone today? Do it - spoken to person is best but at least message it, write it, even just think it .... lift up another and you will not fall as easily.

Wow, I am just getting through the forums and found this one today when I am already in overload - but am sure wishing I had a printer!!! Going to work on this list in long-hand - or may copy it onto a stick nd take it to town for printing up for daughter and for me and few extras for others I encounter with PTSD ... Powerful tool to work through!
