OK, we've all been here before, some of us have never left but struggle with perseverance. Like any pathway to change, success with becoming the healthiest you, you can be, depends on taking full action and sticking with it. So many start and stop. Those who take full action coupled with a combined commitment to success, WIN, PERIOD.

The secret key to success is being smart with goal setting.

Be specific. Knowing exactly what you want starts with having a clear vision.

Set a measurable timeline in reaching your goal.

Make a definite commitment to yourself, to promise 100 percent in achieving that goal.

Be realistic. Be fair and kind to yourself. Don't set yourself up for disappointment by setting unrealistic goals that are impossible to achieve.

Be timely. Goals shouldn't be open-ended. Setting a timeline will give you the motivation to meet this timeline by working harder and staying on track. With setting a finish line, something not in the too far distant future to move closer to every day.

A SMART goal is a rock-solid, no loopholes goal that leaves no room for excuses or deviation, other than your choice not to fully commit in doing your best.

For example,

I _______________ will commit to becoming the healthiest me I can be by following ( your choice of weight loss program) for 30 days. My starting date is ___________
and by being physically active Monday, Wednesday and Friday's; walking (your choice of cardio) for one hour a day starting, __________.

Now, you've set your smart goals and know exactly what you want to achieve over the next 30 days. To help keep these goals at the forefront, top of mind and yourself focused, write them down and stick it above your bed, on your bedroom mirror on the refrigerator, paint a visual picture of how great you're going to look and feel. See your self working toward that goal. See your efforts and diligence, the short-term fulfillment and the long-term results. These constant reminders will help to keep you on track and win over any tactics or excuses you might be tempted to lean on.

Picture the moment when at the end of that 30th day and what you have succeeded in accomplishing. Feel the pride.

You will not give up. You will be successful. You can stick to your goals. Every cell in your body is vibrating with energy and health. You are worthy of being the best healthiest you, you can be!

You can achieve anything you set your mind to. Your potential is limitless!

The second week in and not doing to badly with diet and water intake. I've been staying within 1200-1300 calories a day and making sure I get my 8-9 glasses of water drank. Because I have a sedentary job where I sit at a desk for 80-90% of the day I've set my goal of steps per day to be 5,000. I have been faithful to it.

I'm still to apprehensive to step on any scales for numbers as of yet or to take my measurements. I think I will wait to do that until the end of each month.

I'll just bet every last one of you has resolved to lose the weight in 2020? Sure you have. We all have or we wouldn't be here....yet again, still.

Wouldnít it be wonderful to have that promise finally fulfilled and ensure that we never have to lose the weight again?
By working together we can help each other meet those life-enhancing goals.

If we resolve to do anything this year let's resolve to achieve our goals. In sharing our journey we can make this the year every one of us overcome troubling food habits and transforms our health.

Good morning team, family,

I don't know how many of you along with myself have had a trouble-free, over-stressed year this past year that hasn't taken its toll.

That's all a part of why we are here, isn't it? We're all in search of becoming a healthier version of ourselves?

And although for a better portion of us here, the focal point of losing weight is a pretty big part of that. But it's not the entire solution. Although losing weight will no doubt significantly influence our health, on the whole, it is only a part of the equation.

Our complete health should be our focus as a whole.

Some say eating right; others emphasized exercise or nurturing the mind and spirit.
In truth, it should be a combination of all of those.

2019 is only 2 days away.

Time to get serious folks. We're headed into the winter months when I find the weather and colder temperatures really play havoc. I am looking for all of us but I'll take as many as possible who are concerned about their health. mentally. emotionally and physical; weight and exercising... It is much easier to commit to a short-term challenge with smaller goals. I myself need to really challenge myself heading into and to pull out of a winter funk and keep my butt in gear. I need dedicated Friends who want the same and are willing to join me and meet with me by being totally committed, sticking with it.

1. POSTING as often as possible will help keep you accountable, not just posting your achievements but also your difficulties and obstacles,

2. Post a picture of selfie Day 1 (does not have to include face) can be from the neck down or just your tummy, butt, whatever you are comfortable with You may post a progress picture each week at weigh in if you like.

3. Starts Jan 2nd.

This is designed to help keep us motivated and true to our commitment to.

Your Personal Self Challenge and Accountability.

Accountability is so important, without it you will probably end up quitting. This is why It will be a must that everyone will check in as often as possible. If one of us does not post, I'd like everyone participating to spark-mail, that member to encourage and inspire them to keep going.

Well I'm still struggling somewhat with eating Not that I'm eating wrong mind you just need to restock at the moment which will be happening Saturday when I hit Costco LOL

When it comes to exercise I'm feeling WONDERBAR! The planks and squats are starting to pay off! Not that things are physically noticeable yet but I'm FEELING the effects and I feel GRRRREAT!

This morning after a great evening out and a great nights sleep I'm up doing the few things that need to be done and breakfast this morning was a high protein to kick start and carry me throughout most of the day now!

I made 2 egg omelette with 2 slices of bacon and a slice of swiss cheese with a 4 oz glass of silk almond milk. I'm definitely not used to eating that big of a breakfast. I couldn't finish it all. But of course, I've very much learned to listen to my body and quit when it tells me I've had enough. So I maybe eat half of it!

Well, folks, It's been 2 weeks How'd you do?

I've kept up with my daily exercise and feel great in my body.
Last when I weighed myself I was down the 3-4 pounds I had set my goal for. Now to keep going!

Yesterday I took 3 pounds of ground turkey and premade burgers with spinach, kale, mushrooms, red onion, flax seed, salt & pepper to taste. It made 8. I placed them on [archment paper to freeze and then bagged them. I had one for my dinner with a 2 cup salad.
So that will help with having 3 meals a day. I also have basa fish which is quick and easy to prepare.
Restocked on my salad ingredients and have it all pre-prepped.

Still working on it. Having a bit of trouble having 3 meals a day this week. I've restocked, so I'm going to do some meal prep ahead for next week and see if that doesn't help.

My day was exceptionally good as well!
Like you I had a busy morning with household chores shovelling etc. Breakfast was my high antioxidant fruit and veggie smoothie, Lunch I made my self a veggie omelette. When I arrived home after work yesterday I put together a vegetarian minestrone so that I have something premade for lunches. I'm so limited on time with having only an hour and having to make Walt his first.

Well, wouldn't you know it my favourite smorg place closed down! How disappointing. So the alternative, we found a FIVE GUYS and I had a vegetarian sandwich with sauteed onions, tomato, peppers and cheese.

Still going for the gold here! Going to make up my smoothie to take with me. May even have it before I leave this morning.

Still on track where exercise is concerned. Eating was alright. Fish and salad for supper but the herbs and spices on the fish gave me indigestion so we'll be changing that!

Yesterday went very well. Definitely stayed within my calorie allotment, and got my 40 minutes of exercise in 20 minutes on step climber 20 minutes on the recumbent bike.
So far today I have planned my breakfast lunch and dinner and put in the first 20 minutes of exercise on my climber

Time to get serious folks. We're headed into the winter months when I find the weather and colder temperatures really play havoc. I need this so I am looking for as many as possible that would join me who are SERIOUS about LOSING their weight and exercising.
I myself need to really challenge myself heading into and to pull out of a winter funk and keep my butt in gear. I need dedicated Friends who want the same and are willing to meet this challenge by being totally committed, sticking to it and the guidelines for this challenge.

1. POSTING daily will help keep each other not only accountable but on track, motivated and true to our commitment. Don't just post your achievements but also your difficulties and obstacles, that way we can encourage and offer possible solutions.

2. Post a before picture of selfie Day 1 (does not have to include face) can be from the neck down or just your tummy, butt, whatever you are comfortable with You may post a progress picture each week at weigh in if you like. But a MUST at the end of 30 days. (Take pictures at the same time of the day and same pose).

3. A once a week weigh in on the SAME day from your starting day. You start on a Monday your weigh-in day will be on Monday. It doesn't have to be the number on the scale. you can report how many pounds lost, stayed the same or gained.


4. Starts TODAY.

Meal planning.

Planning meals will help you make healthier choices at the grocery store. This might sound like a daunting task but itís actually really easy and in the long run, it will save you time and money!

Exercise

Decide on a workout. Some people enjoy going to the gym but for others, thatís just not practical because they canít commit that amount of time. Choose a workout that is short, but gave/gives you great results.

Accountability.

Accountability is so important, without it you will probably end up quitting. This is why It will be a must that everyone will check in each day. If one of us does not post, I'd like everyone participating in spark-mail, that member to encourage and inspire them to keep going.
