I missed yesterday --- too tired to write last night
Thursday was chicken broth, chicken breast with mayo, frozen petite peas, cherries

Friday Turkey ---silly to cook a turkey in 90 degree weather but needed it done up for the weekend..nibbled on meat as I cut and plattered it. Cherries, lettuce salad, tomato..[.just have to have my nightshade tomatoes when the hubby has picked 120# for tomorrow's market!]

Polish sausage ----processed meat is a non-no but this is an annual favorite nd surrounded with good for me foods so m going to enjoy few meals of this favored food this week

Sausage cut into "coins" and saute with yellow summer squash, zucchini, onion, tomato nd drizzle of hemp oil and sour cream dressing on top

Lunch was kind of split between snack and late lunch as it was farmer's market leaving home at 6:30 and back home at 1:30

snack of boiled egg, 1/2 Pure Protein bar 20 ounce lemon water
late lunch chicken breast, mayo, another 20 ounce lemon water
later snack of Gluten free oatmeal cookie with butter on it

Kinda of crazy day but doing something right as the scales have been dropping a pound a day x3 days in a row!!!

Wednesday - had first processed meat in a long time - I don't think German Sausage is to be repeated very often but was a treat!!! With salad of garden fresh lettuce and store bought alfalfa sprouts.

EDIT: Re-read label and this is better than I thought!!! Hill's pork sausage made in Pendelton, Ore. Gluten free, No MSG, BHA free, BHT free, does have some sugar and dextrose but no longer feel like I did major damage!! 170cal, 15fat[6saturated] , 2carbs,12 protein.

Have to share my fun supper smoothie - granny smith apple, oat bran/fiber, goat kefir, vanilla, stevia, pink salt, ice, cashews. Oooofff I am full in my tummy!!!!

I am enjoying seeing what others eat for lunches.

Today I was away from home and not knowing what to expect for time or activity so grabbed insulated bag and added iced water, iced tea, boiled egg, banana, protein bar and iced mocha - ended up being gone 5 hours and very tired on way home - my physical issues are not doing well this last couple of weeks and right leg/ hip very painful and requiring cane 95% of the time again. But did get the errands run and the shopping done and felt accomplished! good choices of foods and did fine through the day.

Thank you for sharing - I like the idea about choosing certain days where it is "good to just work a fasting into the events of the day certain days of the month - will keep that in mind s I move through this lifestyle changing for health.

I had a really hard workout in Physical Therapy today and too tired to think but had fairly good snack before crashing for a nap but woke up chilling an starved and rebellious feeling - I wanted sugar and dairy and resisted glyten... but had a piece of hubby's pie and ice cream. I did balance a little with tuna and hot tea.

So time to get back on the health wagon, clear out the system and back to good anti-inflammatory foods and Oooodles of water and clear liquids for the next 24 hours - It will get back in control. Life happens and I have got to learn to plan for rough times and how to deal with them HEALTHY!!!

Glad to.
I have a Foster Care Review Board that meets the first Wednesday of every month and I don't get home until after 9:00. That affords me the opportunity to drink tea during the day and head to bed on an empty stomach. My mom used to fast monthly as part of her religion, but while I am not directly fasting as a part of a belief system, I'm sure the monthly event improves my physical health.

Would you share about a monthly fast? the every-other-day fasting down to 500 calories was helpful for me but too stressful for summer/our busy time and away from home three days a week at Farmer's markets s vendors. But thinking I still ight do Mondays - those days do give a relief from planning menus and keeping life simple.

Divided my meal to facilitate my energy outlay for the day - worked well and still separated them by three hours. Works good to maintain even blood sugar

Ran out of time - had to get to business meeting so grabbed a boiled egg from fridge and half a protein bar and sipped on iced tea through the meeting - had planned lunch for supper and did fine.

Great job!
Yesterday I ate a pork salad - mixed greens, burnt ends, walnuts, cranberries and vinaigrette dressing - today is veggie bowl.
