Last weekend we went on a hiking activity with my kids and hubby. It was awesome. Not only did we walk 13 kms but also enjoyed, had fun and discovered a new beach at our town. It was so worthy, we talked about doing something similar next weekend. Let it be our new family goal!

Thanks! My oldest and I just created a meal plan on the white board that we use for school. I tried to get the other two kids and hubby involved, but they just wanted to wait until we were finished and then complain. Sorry, dudes. PBJ for you, or leftovers on the days you don't like what's planned. And next week, you're invited to join us in planning!

I am also setting the Alexa alarm throughout the day so that kids can only be on electronics for 15 - 20 minutes at a time, then they have to go do something else. Eventually, they gravitate back to the electronics and I set the alarm again. We are on break from school, so electronics are a huge draw right now. Usually, when we're doing school, there are no electronics during the day unless it is an electronic curriculum piece.

I have a 7 minute workout app on my phone. The next time the Alexa alarm goes off, it's going to be 7 minute work out time.

I've been looking at Metroparks (hiking) events to try to schedule some of those, but it looks like the next week is just going to be unbearably cold for any outdoor activity around here. : / We do have a Wii with some active games. I've been thinking we should dust those off.

My aim is to get the whole family involved in creating goals around the following topics:

1. Meals/snacks
2. Movement
3. Screen Time

I think that if I get them involved/invested in creating the goals, we will all be more likely to work toward them.
