Great job everyone. Now let's all be diligent next week. And someone look over my shoulder on the cardio front. I usually do 300 a week. Yikes...I am heading in a very wrong direction.

1. 150 minutes of cardio this week - 0 today. (Total 283). *DONE! Too hot to get in a run today.
2. Aim for 8 fruits & veggies a day - 2 today. Went the wrong direction today!
3. Restrict special treats to 2 times this week - 1 small brownie sundae from Nathan's Dairy Bar. Yummy! Very light eating today so I should still have a deficit for the day. I went OVER! 3 this week. I normally don't have treats like this. The most I have had in 19 weeks!

3 Treats- 4 Dark chocolate squares.

I went over my calories today because I was grazing. It was too hot for regular meals.

Produce: Goal met 6 out of 7 days (there was that day I barely ate)
Treats: Met that goal (came close to going over, but only 2 treats)

So, this week started to tank. I don't even remember what I ate yesterday, but for today I've had cereal, greek yogurt, some fruit and I am about to take some of that pumpkin/chocolate cake mixture out of the oven. I snatched some batter and it doesn't taste so great. I think from now on I'll stick with what I usually do.

I did great on everything EXCEPT the treat part. I had 1 extra treat yesterday....a big one at that :-(

Enjoyed seeing everyone yesterday!

1. 150 minutes of cardio this week - 160 today. (Total 283). *DONE! Still plan on getting C25K in this week.
2. Aim for 8 fruits & veggies a day - 6 today.
3. Restrict special treats to 2 times this week - 1 slice of lemon meringue pie. Yummy! Had enough calorie burn to enjoy all 344 calories and still had over 1200 calorie deficit for the day.

No cardio. Not feeling stable enough.

Checking in - not even sure when the last time was that I checked in....

1. 110/159 so far *(but fixin to work out shortly!)
2. um... no... hospitals aren't known for their vast array of fruits/veggies - I count it a "win" that I didn't eat anything out of the vending machine!
3. 2 so far this week - had a bag of chips with my salad @ Panera this afternoon.

Shannon - having TWO treats this week isn't "blowing it"... the challenge was "no MORE than 2"... last I checked, 2 isn't more than 2! but, like you, I'm right at the wire, and gotta be good the rest of the weekend!

We just have today tomorrow and Sunday so make sure you get your exercise in.

Well I have certainly sucked in the exercise department this week. Still felt bad this morning, kinda dragging. I'm in that "you're gonna get a bad cold" feeling, where it's not quite there but all you have the urge to do is sleep more.

On the veggie, fruit and treat front I have done pretty well though. That counts for something right?

Got my fruits today, not veggies though.

I think the increase in work might be whooping me a little too. I'm loving the busy, just not used to being quite soooo busy. I'll adjust, takes a week or two to work up to it.

You dont want to know....
Pasta with sauce and veggies and then we split a small slice of cheesecake w/some weird strawberry sauce stuff. It was yummy though, even w/ the weird sauce!
When the guy offered strawberries I thought they would be fresh.

Today: so far only about 5 produce servings; I can possibly get 3 more in once I am done feeling full from my TREAT!
No exercise yet- actually picked up my daughter in front of the house and then went to dinner...just got home...hoping ot get some in tonight- otherwise I will make it up in the next 3 days.

Yesterday: not much in the way of produce considering I could barely eat, no exercise, no treat.

Mid-week stats- 1 treat, 1 day no produce, still have time for exercise.

Hope that everyone is feeling better today. So we are half way though our challenge. What has been difficult so far? I actually walked away from a piece of dark chocolate last night. But I ate a lot- I was hungry all day. But it was all healthy.

As of yesterday
1. No cardio (so I was still at 45/150 last night)
2. 15 servings of fruit/veggies ( I was out of control)
3. No treat. Woohoo!!

Hope the 'icky's' stay away from here - Gotta go to Reston Hospital tomorrow morning for my partner's surgery.

Carla - great job of avoiding 5Guys!

Doing better here on the veggies/fruit today - we had an external meeting here, and they brought the big fruit tray from Chik-Fil-A.... didn't eat it all, so 'leftovers in the kitchen'!!! I swarmed in like a vulture - 3 cups of fruit to snack on the rest of the day!!! Yay me!

ETA: just now read the article from a few days ago on serving sizes - I thought fruit servings were a cup, not half a cup - so I'll have to revise my results from earlier. will update this evening.

Must be something today, I feel pretty yuck too.

However, major act of healthy eating....I was standing in front of Five Guys and actually chose to go into Moe's and get a grilled veggie quessadilla instead of cajun fries and a junior heart attack burger from the Guys. I was impressed, and rather shocked, at my ability to control my Five Guy urge, ha!

Hey, that must mean these challenges work....if I can make myself turn away from the Guys and choose grilled veggies there must be something awry in the cosmos....or these challenges are making me think more about veggies and less about burgers. Awesome!!!

- I feel like poo but I might still head up for a little cardio in a bit

Leah- I would say seaweed in itself is a serious veggie so you will get it all in!

I feel like crud today (something funny in my belly--maybe even a temperature) and needless to say have barely had any food at all. Will see if dinner will happen...

I was at a training seminar all day today. I had Subway sandwich for lunch (counting the lettuce, etc as my 2 veggies). They had hard candies at the tables, and I had 3 of them. Tonite is my partner's Tae Kwon Do test, with sushi for dinner after. How many veggie servings in Seaweed Salad and Veggie rolls and California rolls?

Well go figure, the one I thought I'd have such trouble with is just peachy...no problem meeting the veggie and fruit challenge. Not a problem in the treat category either.

Now the exercise part's been lame this week, but I'm hoping to fix that in the a.m. Been attending an online massage conference this week. In addition to work and school it is proving to be a bit of a challenge! Workin' on it!!!!

Teresa- the challenge is Monday through Sunday.

1. 150 minutes of cardio this week - got in 46 min. today (Total 79).
2. Aim for 8 fruits & veggies a day - only 6 again.
3. Restrict special treats to 2 times this week - 1 Jell-O Mousse Temptations Caramel Creme (60 cals) today. I don't consider this "special".
