Great news for the September challenge . I have given up coffee and almost all sugars and feel good about it. Yes it was hard and I was very very tired at first but that just showed me how bad it was messing with my body! But now I feel amazing!

I am definately new to all of this, but for making time for excersise, yesterday I walked 2 miles, 30 mins. Tonight i hope to do the same but at a faster pace!!

Woot woot...day 11 of no soda. Been drinking nothing but lemon water! I was tempted to drink apple juice today but I thought to myself why waste my precious calories on juice that is full of sugar and won't keep me feeling full. I'm proud of myself:)

4 days - no chips! Although I am excited. I received the Microwave Chip Maker that I ordered from Pampered Chef. I will be able to do the heatlhy version of these crunchies that I love so much!!!

STARTINGOVER37--You can do it! Maybe you need to start slow and wean yourself off by setting a goal. How about start off with letting yourself have a soda 3x week the first week. 2nd week 2x, 3rd week 1x and 4th week none! It is tough however it's all mind over matter. emoticon

I made it through week one with no soda and no chips emoticon
Having no soda was fairly easy being that I only really loved Pepsi. The chips was difficult because I found myself trying to pick up other comfort foods to replace the chips. When I did that, I compared the items to the chips and put them back on the shelf.

This week I should give up walking the the gas station on breaks, but I think I'll give up Little Caesars Crazy Bread. I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE Crazy Bread. I stopped going there for pizza a long time ago! emoticon

It has been hard for sure, changing a habit that has been automatic. I've almost picked my husband's soda can up at least twice to take a sip.

But, I realized what I was doing, put it down and had water or unsweetened iced tea. Yeah me! :-)

For those that are having a difficult time giving up soda and other addictive foods, watch Hungry for Change. It explains how foods are engineered so we crave them and the company gets sales. I've kicked the soda and bad snack food cycle a while back but this documentary reminded me why it's important to eat real, unprocessed foods as much as possible. Seriously scary stuff. I found it on Netflix but I'm sure it can be found elsewhere.

On another note, I managed to stay away from the call of the bagel and over the week and learned how to take in carbs via whole grains for a more balanced diet. So far no weight gain or cravings.

I am a little late in this challenge, but I started on the first going back to dairy free. I have a slight dairy intolerance and last month I was having dairy regularly. I feel better and less bloated when I do not have it.

I may not be there yet, but I'm closer than I was yesterday.

Made it through day 4 without potato chips. Heading into the weekend it is going to be rough.
1. to avoid them if we grab a sandwich somewhere
2. not to buy them at the store

I CAN DO THIS! I AM STRONGER THAN THE BAG OF CHIPS!

I will give up soda for tomorrow (since I joined again recently and just saw this challenge). I will also give up soda for next week, along with whatever next week's challenge is to be.

Halfway through day 5 soda-free!! :-) emoticon emoticon

I have embraced by Polar Seltzer water (ruby red grapefruit is my fav) and unsweetened iced tea with a bit of Splenda and LOTS of lemon!! :-)

I'm just now checking my email about the first challenge. However, I was doing the challenge without knowing. I've given up all junk food like chips and candy. Does dark chocolate count though? I'm going to be sad if it does. ;)

Just saw this challenge, so I am way behind, but I would like to join anyhow. I am giving up soda. Might be hard because we have case in the basement, but this is where willpower comes into play :)

Going strong without my Double Doubles. Dad almost bought one for me this morning though but luckily he asked first so I could refuse before he went to Tim Horton's. On my way to work I stopped to get gas and I totally drove by the pumps and into the Tim Horton's drive thru. Luckily there was no one behind me so I was able to back out. I really don't know what I was doing. Anyway, other than that and the weird eye thing the first few days, I have been going strong and have been meeting my calorie, fat, protein, and carb targets. Feeling awesome without my Double Doubles.

I'm just joining the challenge today but 2 days ago I decided to give up real sugar in my coffee. Tuesday and Wednesday I brewed green tea and this morning I had coffee but with Splenda. So far so good.

I slipped today.... I didn't have the whole soda, and it was diet but I did have about half of it. Tomorrow's another day!

Kinda late getting it on here, but this week will be not eating out of the vending machine at work! You cant read the nutritional information on that packages so its kinda a guessing game...not that there is anything good for you in there anyways.
