Starting over so I can walk the summer 5K race. Today, I have appointments within a mile or two of home, so I'm going to do as much as possible walking, rather than taking the bus. It's been kind of hot here, though, so if I get overheated, I'm gonna let myself hop the bus to cool off.

HI ALL congratulation on your first week ,

fourth day have walked 3.5 miles thursday, 2.5 miles friday, sat rest day and today am going for a long walk with my partner. I am really starting to enjoy walking I find it relaxing and gentle exercise emoticon emoticon

Week 1, Day 3: Walked a mile in 21 minutes. It really does help to keep your elbows bent at a 90 degree angle!

checking in with day 3 for me today. I walked for 30 minutes. I really really did not want to walk but this challenge got me going! After walking for 10 minutes, it got easier. The weather around here is getting warmer. So I will need to walk earlier or something. I wake up achy and just don't want to move.

Checking in. I had to modify my walk days to fit with watching my grandson on Mon and Tues mornings. So I did the 1 mile walk on Sunday and am planning on the 1.5 mile walk tomorrow.

First Walk for me today.....20 minutes on treadmill at gym....
Talk about having no condition.....my heart rate was 140-145 the entire walk at speed 5-5.4
Wow...... Can't wait for this to change!
