Hubby had surgery, I am his at home nurse.
Praise be to God for healing
Iwill get week 6 started in the next few days..right now focus is my sweetheart!

i did week 6 day 1 yesterday...i have only been a runner the past 5.5 weeks now...i've let my asthma hold me back a little...i never thought i'd be able to walk 1 min jog 3, but i did...i'm hesitant about week 7, but i can't wait to see if i'm up to the challenge!

This week was hard. It took me two weeks to do it as I had slipped on a wet floor and hurt my ankle a bit so that interrupted my training. But I just did W6 D3. I did it okay, but it wasn't easy. Not sure whether to move on to week 7 or repeat of couple of the "Run for 3, Walk for 1" until it is easier. Or do I just push on to week 7 and see how it goes? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

This week was difficult! For the first time my running buddy and I were really straining to finish. We did it but it definitely was a struggle and I had to pep talk us both. I told her it would be completely okay if we repeated the week over again! LOL!

I'm Dani! And now it's about me!

GOOD FOR YOU SUEZETTE it might of been hard but you still pushed through and went as far as you could. I am so new to running well 7 weeks old that I do not really know what a bad run is. Although I thought today was easer run for me than a day ago, but I don't think it is what your talking about. Actually I am looking forward to know the difference. When I know and feel that there is a difference it will tell me that I am having experiences that runners have.

Today I ran 3.5 KMs in 30 mins. For me this is week 7 day 1 of Couch to 5 K. ( I was supposed to only do 25 mins but I stretched it to 30 mins because I really wanted to hit the 3.5 km mark. YOU see when I started I started dong spark people's 5K but I found a app for Couch to 5 K . FOr me this was easer as I did not have to keep track of time and it tole me when I needed to stop and start running and walking. I love the support I get from this team especially you SUEZETTE!!

I want yo to know that every comment you make to me really does encourage me as I feel you care about how I do form week to week.

I ran 3.5 miles today and really had to push myself to go that far! Just was not feeling it. Not every run will be easy or fun. You have to take the good with the bad. If there weren't any bad runs, you wouldn't appreciate the good runs :)

Well I Completed week 6 Day 3 today. I jogged 2.4 km in the 22 mins . Really SLOW, I know.
I have been training on flat ground but today I decided to train on the road that the 5 K race will be held on May 5. So today was a challenge for me for sure not to mention how windy it was . So there are many more low grades and at the half way mark today for about 300 meters I was going up hill. Also the last 3 mins I really had to push my self to keep my feet going.

My day 2 of week 6 has been the most difficult for me so far. I didn't sleep well the night before and I didn't give myself much time to fully rest/recover from my training/cross-training sessions. My time was even slower today, but I figured slower was better than not doing it at all (I really wanted to crawl back into bed this AM!!).

I had to take a break from my training because I was sick, but I got back into it today to finish week 6 and I did alright. It has definitely gotten better and as the week progressed. I'm on my way - less than 2 months until my race to go!

By far the hardest week so far. I got through the first workout okay, but I hope I can get through this week. I am sure this is a week I am going to need to repeat becuase I can't even imagine going 4 minutes with one minue of rest.
