I encourage everyone to track their progress through these weeks! Regardless, YOU have done just that! Outstanding! 3 weeks in and you are hitting just about 3 miles! Trust me, it will get easier.

After you've done your run, remember to do a cool down and walk it out for at least 5 minutes.

Also do stretch routines AFTER you've done your run!

If you don't have one, get a foam roller or " the stick" (Google both) to roll out your muscles. Before I did my first triathlon, I bought one at the race expo. I've used for over 80 various races over the last 4 years.

All this will ease you in your recovery. Just starting out and to this day, I would always embrace that recovery day after a run. I will do strength training or cross train on those days.

If you have any questions, do not hesitate to post on these forums or SparkMail me direction. I'm here to support you. AND always remember to have fun with your run!

I'm so excited for you! Stay strong!

Is anyone following this program this year? All the threads seem to be very old. I am on W3D1 and I am sore but I did 2.97 miles! Just couldn't go any further.
