I've done some 5Ks before, but I always had to walk some during the race. This is going to be my first time running the whole distance. The crowds are fun, especially when you settle in with someone going a similar pace, and can sort of challenge yourself with that person. You can do this for sure!

Don't be nervous. Just go out and have fun. I still remember completing my first 5k. Everyone was cheering and rooting for each other and it was a blast. I know you will have the same experience. Good luck

Have fun with it. If it is an organized one, enjoy soaking in all the energy from the runners before the race starts. Don't push yourself too fast from the get-go. Tell yourself what a great thing you are accomplishing. Cross the finish line no matter what - even if you have to walk or crawl. You will feel so good about getting it done. Best of luck. I'm a bit envious that I don't have one to look forward to.
