Way to go with your runs! I remember that accomplishment of completing those miles. It feels so good. I hope you had a great race!

I'm so glad you had a wonderful experience. Hope you enjoyed it enough to enter more races. I found running to be my pride and joy in maintaining my weight! Run training is the best!

Hooray! I haven't been posting on the thread recently, but just did my 5K this morning -- the first time I'd registered for an event like this in over 25 years. I finished in 39:36 and am really pumped! It was so fun to do with a huge mass of people, and I enjoyed myself a LOT! Just wanted you to know that this Spark Official 5K Your Way Running Program is a great thing and was very helpful in keeping me going even though I didn't always log in my runs on it.... Kept track more through my Spark Tracker and the training log there.

Check out my new profile pic, taken by my DH about 30 feet from the finish line. emoticon

So delighted completed the parkrun 5k this morning in 36.42 this is the best I have ever done. There were 402 people and I came in 356th. The course was mainly flat with grass and pathway so a little easier than my pavement route at home. emoticon emoticon

Time is irrelevant here, Anne. Your endurance and conditioning is key and you're nailing it! Continuing on, you will have more than enough time for "speed training" if you desire!
