Lost 2.25 inches doing the Skinny Jeans challenge, vamped up my strength training / palates / calisthenics routine, plus I lost into not one, but 4 pairs of pants! Yea!

This month I am doing the digestive detox challenge, started it today with an evaluation that revealed a goal to strive toward. I need to time my meals and make sure I am not eating too fast. Not only does it hinder realization that hunger is met, but it causes digestive issues. So there is my new goal here.

I know it is just one thing, but there are 2 things I really need to work on: I am going to try to drink more water and start exercising again. My body has been so sore from work that I couldn't stand the thought of working out, but I am off for the summer, so hopefully I can get back on track.

I have been doing the Skinny Jeans Challenge through May. My goal was to get comfortably into a pair of overly tight jeans. I am on day 26 and not only have I got into those jeans, but into 3 other pairs that were tighter than the first. I figured I would have to go a second round to get into them. But no worries. I plan to continue it next month again, as I have other pants still to come. emoticon I am doing this as part of my goal to increase the amount of strength training I am doing and develop that routine.

I don't know if we've been brainwashed to think fat is bad, but I've found that more fat than recommended helps to control my Type 2 a bit better. That and lowering carbs.

my new thing that is working so far is to increase my fat intake.
in the last 15 days since I've increased it to over 75% I have lost 4-5 lbs and I was stuck

I will make a stronger effort to find one of my step counters and wear it daily and record the steps. This will make me walk more or it will make me impressed over how far I'm walking.

Wonderful job staying away from the chips.

I am walking with my sister 4 or 5 times a week. Our first night, we were short of time, but we walked 15 minutes. Now, we haven't been doing any walking in a few years and I'm 59, she's 52. The next two nights, we walked for an hour. I didn't feel it until today and I'm stiff and a bit sore, but we're going out again tonight. emoticon emoticon emoticon

I will make an effort to include jump rope into my work out in the early Morning before I leave for work in my back yard! I really enjoy jump roping but I never make time to do it.

Jeanut first thank you for setting up the challenge. I truly appreciate it. I'm going to start tracking my emotions when I eat and try to figure it out. Then make a plan. The thing I want to focus on is the quality time I put into the spark people program. I need to focus on the off the computer time. I need to be mindful of my program throughout the day. This may be the hardest thing I do, but I need to force myself into making my SparkPeople a true habit!

I am going to drink water when I go out to restaurants. I have always had pop when I go out to eat. I am switching to water. I have already cut down my pop consumption a lot, but still have had pop when I go out to eat. I'm excited for my first glass! LOL.

Thanks for the challenge! This is just what I need to get going again. So the thing I am adding back in this week is exercise. I just need to get moving so whether it is a youtube video, wii workout, or playing outside with the kids, I need to get moving.

Sometimes our weight loss journey can seem long and hard. Changing one bad habit for a good one or adding one new good habit at a time can help it seem easier.
So this challenge is to pick one thing to change, add, or subtract from your habits.
Examples can be:
adding strength training 3 times a week
leaving off or cutting back on a food or soda

What new change will you be making?
When your new change becomes a habit pick a new goal to reach.

Mine is to exercise when I first get up so that I won't put it off.
