I remember about 15 years ago (maybe 20) they were selling saran wrap on the shopping channel and tried to market it as some kind off magic wrap that would melt away the pounds. Well some older ladies actually bought the crap and then tried suing when it didn't work. I think I would have been to embarrassed to admit to ever having bought it........(couldn't believe that someone had actually bought it!!!!!)

My mind is completely boggled by the fact that there were people who actually believed a LOTION could make them slimmer. o.O

I've seen commercials for most of this stuff in the past, and thought it was pretty obviously junk.

I read a lot about sensa, but never tried it... it was expensive and I just didn't think the claims were legit.
I know a woman who did the HCG diet and she did lose weight but ended up getting very sick, extreme dizziness and other problems as well that took WEEKS to get over. it was awful. The weight is back now, too.
I remember wanting to try the Hoodia, but never did.
the rest... never tried, some I never heard of.

Regarding the Skechers "Shape Ups": I had a part-time gig in retail at the time, and the chain had a knock-off version of these "toning" shoes.
One of the funniest, or perhaps saddest, things I saw was a very, very, very large guy in a robo-scooter who had a pair of the toning shoes in his scooter basket - - along with Doritos, Mountain Dew, snack cakes, pudding packs, etc.

I felt like suggesting he put back the $50 shoes plus all the empty-calorie snack items, buy a regular pair of sneakers, and WALK instead of riding in the cart. I don't believe he would have been very receptive, though.

I'd heard a little bit about the HCG Diet and it seemed a bit scary because of the hormones. I'd heard bad things about it too. I thought that Sensa was probably too good to be true which is why I never tried it. I was scammed into trying Hoodia before I found SP. I tried it once and it didn't work. Didn't buy more after that and thankfully I didn't spend too terribly much on it. I have bought Activia many times. It does help my tummy issues some.I haven't tried any of the others though.

Another body of proof for, "if it seems too good to be true, it probably is." I guess we all still have to do the work.

I think the whole world is gorgeous, but a lot of people never really look around and appreciate what they see! Yes, it is beautiful up here, but at the moment it's a bit cool. Suppose to quite nice this weekend. I hope so the pool is ready but the water is COLD!!!!

I am guilty of only one product, but bot the ones that they had here. A few years ago I bought Sketchers Shape-up running shoes. I found it really weird to walk in them and they have been in my closet ever since. I only wore them a couple of times and they cost me $100.00.

Thanks for posting this!!!
