Great - remember - keep it light - you are backpacking for 5 weeks!!
I am organised and ready to go - but since it looks like only me and you from this team - we will get to know each other VERY well in that 5 weeks!!
If you know anyone else interested - maybe they could join us for the5 weeks!!

emoticon I am packing my Bag - I know it has to be Light! - and waiting anxiously to begin Trekking! This will be my First Virtual Trip but it sounds AWESOME!! This City Girl will find out if she "Has What It Takes" to 'Rough it'!!

Are you ready to take on The Bibbulmin Track and trek through the unique, ever changing scenery of the South West corner of West Australia ? All that is necessary is simply to want to have fun and increase your exercise

Move (walking, or any other form of exercise) as much as you can during the 5 weeks of the trek
The aim is to reach an exercise and a step goal during the 5 days of the Trek each week, and then increase this during the other 2 days in the week by doing the optional trips.

ALL movement counts, not just formal exercise, so it will be much easier to see how many steps you have done if you have a pedometer and wear it all day. This way, even if you are sedentary, the steps you take about the house, washing, cooking, housework or even the trips to the rest room, will be counted!!

Try walking to work, taking the stairs instead of the lift, walking around the block on your lunch break, or walking with friends a couple of nights each week, or chair marching while watching TV, or marching while waiting for the kettle to boil, or dancing to your favourite tune

Other exercise, like strength, stationary bike etc can be counted by using the conversion table to convert the time you exercise to steps I will give you this chart at the start each week with the step total for that week.

The 7 levels of exercise will cater for everyone - whether you run marathons or are handicapped and exercise challenged!!

As well as daily exercise totals , I will give you weekly Trek notes that give details, with pictures and hyperlinks, of that week’s trek, so you can see where you get to every day, by exercising!!. Its also a great way to “visit” virtually, and learn about, an area that you will probably never see in your lifetime..

As well as exercise I would like you to write a blog each week on what you saw that week, using the trek notes to guide you. This is optional, though , when you tell me you have written it, I will reward you with a goodie
