175 lbs.

Just the sight of that on the scale has scared/motivated me into action. Packed a bag to run during lunch, restricted calories to a recommended level not whatever I feel like eating. Tonight will do my strength training to turn the flab into fab! I hope today is the hardest day and it gets easier after this right?

Your post sounds exactly like the introduction I gave to everyone on here. I am also heavier than my pregnancy weights and it doesn't get any easier as we get older to take it off. Good luck to you, You can do this, keep your head up and keep moving forward!!! emoticon

Just joined this group today. Weighed in last week for the first time this year and it wasn't good I was at 223 which was up about 12 pounds from before Thanksgiving. But this week I was at 220.5 down 2.5. A great start to the week. Good luck everyone.

Things that I did well: Did go out running three 10k's this week--one of them was even in 0 degrees C.

However, weighed in on a different scale as I am travelling half-way round the world from where I live.

What I need to do better: Drink more water and watch portion size! Week 3 has to be better--I must lose 2 pounds week 3!

Joined the group today, this is my second go at Spark as as soon as I reached my goal last time (in October), I started eating badly again. (tight on money meant it was harder to buy only healthy foods. Would like to also blame winter weather, Xmas temptations... But really, it's only me who is responsible.)
Trying to get back to good and fun habits.

Last monday: 63.6 kg
This week: 62.7 kg

aim: reach less than 60, then stay below 60kg for a long time before maybe aiming at below 59!

Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain.

Daily goals:
- getting into bed before 10.30pm
- staying within my 1300-1500 calorie range
Ultimate goal: get to 64kg and stay there!

Reward: A professional massage for every 4Kg lost.

I weighed in at 254.6. I'm down 1 pound this week. It's not much, but it's enough to keep me motivated that I am doing it.

It's awesome to see those who are down several lbs and I, too, will be one of you! In time. After I get my tax return, I am hiring a personal trainer at the local gym for two sessions a month with a new workout plan each time for a year...paid up front, of course. Then I will be a multiple pound loser! I'm also gonna buy the SparkPeople Cookbook, for a little extra umpf and inspiration!

P.S. This was my first week on SP this time around!

I bought a scale before Christmas and have been weighing every Monday since then. Before that I weighed only at the doctor's office and focused on eating right and inches. I had lost 25 pounds since November of 2009 so it was working. However, I seemed to be stalled hence the purchase of the scale. First weigh-in after purchase showed 216. Monday after Christmas was 213.6, a new low but I went up over New Years. First weigh-in of 2012 was 217.4.

Today's weigh-in (first since joining the group) is 214! Very happy about that. My short term goal is to break below 210. (I hesitate to make long-term goals but I'd like to "move the big weight) by summer. Yes, I am losing slowly but I am losing.

I need to add in exercise and I know that will help.
