MEEKERAL: I read about this in a challenge I was doing last month. They said that we should first try to drink a glass of water. Then if you must eat, cut some pieces of celery, carrots, apple, blueberries - some low calorie fruit or veggie. We need 5 serving a day so it could be a great way to get them in .

Also they suggested to find a hobby or to do exercise, instead of going to the cupboard. I'm sure you'll figure it out

This kind of sums up what I remember on eating out of boredom.... Hope it helps to find a solution.

I feel better when I eat healthy. I eat because it's time to eat, but I go overboard by snacking between meals out of boredom.

I've tried several things to sleep better at night but it didn't really work so far. I now take naps too. Even if I don't nap, my nights are not longer for that. I feel blessed when I get my 8 hours or more in a night

I have found myself mindlessly eating in the afternoon and evening. When I thought about why I am struggling with this it occurred to me that my sleep has been very poor and broken up as of late. I think I will try to get in a nap on the days when I don't sleep well.

I'm the same as you I would forget to eat at times because I'm not hungry. I seldom eat 1000 calories. It's got it's down fall because your body goes in starvation mode and stop burning calories. It makes it slower to lose....I drink my 64 oz of water a day so I have that full feeling. Breakfast is important to set your metabolism in action. I set a time in the day for my three meals but stop eating when I'm not hungry and keep the rest for dinner or the next day

I want to do this challenge. What if you don’t get hungry yo often and eat less than 1000 cslories

This week's challenge is about how you feel, why you eat, why we eat as much as we do.

When we were young, most of us were given a plate and told to clean it up. Now this week I want you to think why you eat. Are you hungry? Eat, BUT, know when to emoticon . When you are half your plate, and feel satisfied and don't have hunger signals, do we keep eating? Put your plate away. You may eat up to 6 smaller meal and even less. Just eat until you don't feel hungry. emoticon or emoticon

Why do we eat as much as we do? Is it because it's a costly meal at the restaurant? take left over home or ask the waiter to cut your order in half and put the rest in a box for you to take home BEFORE you are served. Are you eating out of boredom? Start a hobby, catch up on your reading, write in a journal emoticon etc. You're at a function with free food. This is a big one. Every body is talking, Food is delicious. You have been served and don't control the portion size. This is the test: By now you know how much calories is lying in your plate. Toss up on one side of your plate what you feel you can safely eat and not be hungry and leave the rest there.

You'll be amazed at how much we overeat.
