I am on day 8 today. I had a really late crazy day but made my self do the cardio interval video.I also had did stairs and walked at work. Great video I felt much stronger doing it this week. emoticon

30 minutes of exercise today: 20 minutes on the Gazelle and 10 minutes flexibility/stretching. Not feeling well today. I feel like I am coming down with a cold or the flu. I am still going to try to push myself to meet this challenge.

I chose the Bonny Frankel 14 minute Basic Yoga. Most of the moves are pretty basic and doable by me - a rank beginner. I thought the pace was pretty good as well. However, when they started talking about "wringing out your organs" and how one particular pose was "a good cleanse", I lost all respect for the instructors. I will do this video again this week because I chose it, but won't return after this week. emoticon

I started out strong. But then i went out of town. We stayed at a hotel witha gym but it was tiny and I was embarressed to excersize in front of those skinny people. But today I started out again. I am going to ride my bike today because it is not raining!

It was so exciting to log on to team and see week two light up. did 45 minutes of Zumba this morning. I'm glad we are repeating the video's as I know I can definitely do them. Will do it a little later today but I'm definitely on track. So proud of myself.

So far so good with the exercise and eating but, on the weekends, I'm finding my water intake goal somewhat of a challenge. I guess I forget or get too busy to drink water unless it's before, during, or directly after, I exercise.

lost 2 lbs last week, was a little nervous when I got on that scale this morning and thought as usual I wouldnt see it budge, but was so excied to see those 2 lbs lost.....now that alone is motivation!!!!!

Well, I am at the 2nd day of my 2nd week and I already notice I have more energy and some really strange bursts of mega energy that I have decided to use when I workout now, although yesterday was a blah day I felt much better after the workout albeit a bit more sweaty then when I started. I have been using one of our many gaming consoles to use Just Dance 4 as my workout sessions, I vary it between the 10 minute routines to the 25 and 45 minutes routines. I don't have all the dance steps down, but it is something different and fun. emoticon

Last week was good. I completed the programme. Having recently acquired a fitbit, I've been inspired to take the car, not to the gym, but to the nearby mountain. That way I get my 10,000 steps and 60 or 70 floors!

I thought Nicole was trying to kill me last year, when, in spite of 15 mins or so daily exercise with a gentler DVD, I couldn't finish Nicole's 6 minute warmup on the 28 day bootcamp DVD! And then she said: "We're not working our yet, just trying to get a little warmer!" Now I can do it, and gradually other parts of the DVD. It would have helped if she had had some encouraging advice to the unfit as to how we could modify the routine. She does this in later videos.
I find the Pilates videos nearly kill me, so am choosing another Pilates video for my this week's extra. If lying on my back nearly kills me, I need to work at Pilates!
For today's cardio I decided to take the dogs for a walk for the first time since they disgraced themselves and me by attacking another dog they had been playing with peaceably. I was apprehensive as a vast dog, twice the size of mine, wanders around periodically. Today I didn't meet him, but another, the same size, came along. He was actually with his owner, and fortunately my neighbour was around. I had an enormous problem, nit with the big dog, but with my boys who wanted to get away and fight him! I shall take them out one at a time for the foreseeable future! That certainly got my heart rate up! As I hadn't looked at my watch when I left the house, I continued my cardio with chopping firewood. I shan't reach 10,000 steps today, but am nearly at 5000,

emoticon I wish to start and make up for tomorrow's exercise time. I will go to the dentist first thing in the morning and maybe plan to rest for one day. I hope to exercise again come Tuesday , Jan 08, 2013. My life is indeed changing and I just love it so much , I plan to treat myself with a workout video bought in a Sporting Goods store near our place after Week 2 , and then I will think of spending some time befriending some health enthusiasts like myself tomorrow noon.
Advance thank you for this health website. You all rock the best. I mean it from the bottom of my heart. emoticon emoticon .

Discipline is not a myth, but could be a reality,so do something about it, well, health wise that is.
It's real T O U G H L O V E for myself that I have too endure just to make me happy in this health journey towards bringing out my BEST !

I'm starting the week off strong. I felt energized and motivated this morning - I did 30 minutes on a stair step at a 6 interval level and I completed 30 minutes of interval walking/running 2 minutes walking, 2 running. I don't want to overdo it so I will save my Pilates and weights for tomorrow morning. I hope everyone has a great week!

yesterday was day 4 and did 12 mins seated core didn't get the cardio in was cooking alot trying out some low fat snack recipes. Today did 15 min abd with the ball and 22 mins on the treadmill. I will do some form of cardio tonight to make up for yesterday. Hope everyone have a great day.

This week I added a fit ball class to my exercise and I must say that it kicked my butt! I can hardly walk. So stiff and sore. Talked to the instructor and next class I need to do less reps and keep at it. Trying my best to keep at it.

So this week was high gear into 10k prep today, so I didn't keep up with the videos but I did keep up with the exercising, and now having access to a gym I did a lot of cross training, too.
So I guess my bonus video this week was doing six videos in one day. Hoping to stay on track now since there are no races until March. We'll see if I can manage one a day for two weeks.

So last week was a crazy hectic week before vacation, so I fell pretty behind on the videos.
The plus side means catching up with last week inherently gives me my bonus video for this week.

This is a nice program and I'm enjoying it. I've had to change just the order of the videos while still doing all of them each week plus the bonus videos.

I'm in the 5k rookie running program and I don't like to do lower body strength workouts on my running 'rest' days so I had to move the order around to fit my other program but the videos are good and I'm doing things I wouldn't have done without this challenge. Especially the core stuff which is ironically what I need most.

My bonus video was the Bollywood cardio dance. I did it with my 6 year old son, and think I got a better abs workout from laughing so hard!

W2D11 Just completed the bonus video - 11 minute chair cardio. Great workout if you are chair bound or maybe sidelined with an injury. I have also tracked food two days this week and completed the daily toning videos and at least 10-15 minutes of cardio.

Started week 2 today. Weighed and took measurements. Didn't do as well as I thought or wanted so a little disappointed. I will not binge because of it but will stay on track and continue doing what I know to do. I need to be more disciplined in what I don't eat.

Yesterday I got a mini-workout doing community gardening, then 10 mins on the elliptical, and burpees throughout the day (GO NERDFITNESS RANGERS!)
Husband and I took the dog for a 3 mile walk. We almost ate alright, but I had extra cookies and ice cream and he "punchbowled" cereal. We fell off the food/exercise wagon during this recent family emergency, but are working on it. Planning the weekly meals today and shopping tomorrow, then cooking for the week on Tuesday. Currently have a two week casserole planned (for me mainly) and a white-bean crockpot pot-pie for him!
Our fall goal is giving up alcohol. Figures.. right when pumpkin beers come out. (wink)

Rest of week goals:
More burpees for me. Another family walk or two. He's running today and I'll be spinning twice this week!
