Week 3 is going strong. Yesterday, I ran steep hills which were hard but I never rested. I slowed way down but didn't walk! Today, I did Crunch Boot Camp on Netflix instant. I need to build up on my home workout DVDs so I can change things up. Wow, my arms are hurting from my workout that ended 15 minutes ago!!

Keep it up, everyone!! emoticon

squats and lunges of any kind are just not going to happen for me.
So every time they come up I walk, on any floor exercises that I can't do I modify or change to ones I can do. Arthritis is not fun.

Starting Week 3 today. I've been adding time to my cardio workouts each week so I'm not going to increase more than the minutes I already had planned. I will focus on adding more fruits and veggies to my diet. Also, I want to make sure I don't skip doing the videos any of the days so I don't have to double up on the other days.

I'm feeling great doing the challenge. I'm happy the videos are getting easier. The pilates video and the planks in the abs video are still a challenge!

This morning I've done the 10mns pilates hips & tighs - well even though it's the third week I'm doing it and I'm used to yoga/pilate, let me tell you that my glutes and butt where on fire but I love this video. I was a bit short of time but I could have done it twice - maybe tomorrow morning!

So, I started my first day of week three! This day one video really gets my heart pumping for sure! I plan to do the extra video on Wednesday still, but I am going to add an extra 10 minutes a day to my 5 day cardio workout routine... Monday-Friday, 40 minutes! :) I'm doing the Spark Diet plan, so adding the extra veggies is something I am already working on! I've been doing great at getting at least 3 servings, and will work on making sure I get at least 5 this week. Good luck everyone!

I do the same thing! I am an obsessive weigher....and when if the scale goes up, i panic and try to eat less, which backfires and i usually end up eating more and stressing over food.

I am committing this week to only weighing myself once...and it is going to be HARD.

Let me know how you do this week with your weighing ...

Today is the first day of week 3 for me. I was looking forward to it till I did the video. My way of thinking was it would be easy but I forgot the 5 mile walk with Leslie Sansone yesterday for the first time. The bands and the lunges so my butt hurts. :) I did make it through the exercises though and did 30 minutes on seated stepper and 30 on treadmill along with 38 minutes of dancing. Ate my freggies which are usually not a hard thing for me. I need more veggies though and not as much fruit but just find the fruit easier to grab and eat. Anyway, I feel I am off to a great start for week 3!

I am loving this challenge!
Now that I have done all of the challenge videos at least twice, I have a feel for what I can and cannot handle in them. I look forward to another fun week of exercise, and aim to push a little harder in my workouts.

I eat lots of veggies, so that part will go well.

Thre additional cardio is ok by me. I can handle that it is the freggies that will be hard for me. I have always struggled with that.

Hi,
Well, I didn't get an answer to my earlier question. So, What I'm planning this week is to get at least 50 minutes more cardio total for this week tham I did last week. I WILL do 5 extra, 10 min. sessions or, something like that but at least 10 minutes at a time. some will probably be 15 like, when I just walk. I only went from 129.8 to 129.6 for week 2. But that's amazing anyway as my calories in were stupid high! Like around 2000/day when they're supposed to be no more 1550! YIKES! SO hopefully I can do better with that this week.

Also, for those of you wondering about freggies... AKA... fruit & vegetables. YES! WE ARE SUPPOSED TO TRACK THEM THIS WEEK!!! 5 SERVINGS PER DAY! OMG! NO WAY! I'm going to give it a shot. I don't like that we have to track then cuz so many times they're mixed into something I cook it's hard to know what's what. Ya know! I find that frustrating.

Let's all have a good, happy healthy week.

Day 1 of week 3. 120 minutes of cardio outdoors on snow, ice & hills. I realized today that this winter I no longer tense up my shoulders or do what I lovingly refer to as the senior shuffle when walking on the ice and snow. It is amazing how much less achy the entire body feels as a result!

Went grocery shopping today and picked up some extra fruit and veggies (and hummus) to eat because I was in the mood.

Now I logged on and read the week 3 goals and I'm so excited that my plan for the week is one of my January Jumpstart goals. Yay - it's like my brain is thinking healthy for a change.

Looking forward to starting this week. I took off last week. I was unable to do the toning exercises due to an aggravated muscle pull, but I could have done cardio and didn't. Tonight I am going to do some chair aerobics and my yoga and floor stretching. Tomorrow may try the toning video. I am motivated to begin again. I will say my eating patterns have improved immensely mainly because of the message board postings and a feeling of accountability. Hope I will feel that way about this week 3 discussion. emoticon

Day 5 video done. Will borrow cardio minutes from yesterday's bank. Too many spin kicks and back kicks yesterday. My back is stiff and sore and won't tolerate more than gentle movement. Hello, ice pack.

Not much for freggies today. Pain dulls my appetite altogether.

See you all in the morning once my old body has had more time to recover.

My personal challenge this week is to NOT weigh myself until next Sunday. I'm typically a daily weigher (several times a day, really). And, when I do see a loss in weight I tend to "reward" myself with extra snacking. But not this week! I'm hoping by keeping myself in the dark about how much I might be losing, I won't self-sabotage.

1/15/12 - I'm kind of confused now. Are we supposed to continue the extra video along with adding 10 minute to our cardio. Since I don't know that's what I'll. So, for my extra video I did the SparkPeople Bootcamp Video (Day 2) & for the extra cardio I did the 10-Minute Bootcamp Cardio Workout Video.

Dec.23 = 133
Jan 1st 2012 = 131
February 1 = 127.6
March 1 = 132.4

To up the intensity this week I started doing some crossfit moves and incorporating them into my running. The videos have gotten a little harder to keep track of, I've forgotten a few days, but they are still a priority. I'm really getting my groove back.

ROCKPORT9, I also was fighting a cold this week. Really tough to do all the cardio and toning. This week I'm back on track.
