I am so happy that I finished the challenge! This last week, I didn't lose any weight so I probably added some muscle since I know it isn't from lack of exercise or diet (I measure/track everything). I have lost inches this month & look/feel much firmer.

Thanks Nicole for the awesome videos!

If there is an official Feb challenge, I might do that otherwise I am going to sign up to do either the boot camp or the swimsuit challenge.

Congratulations to all the participants! WooHoo!

I just finished my Week 4 goals--sort of. My eating plan was 'off' today but I did manage to do extra exercise and I will finish up this week with over 28 miles logged on my pedometer (my official goal was 20 miles, unofficial goal was 25). So I'm feeling optimistic about my weigh in tomorrow, despite a weak food day. I will have a light dinner tonight and drinks lots of water to help make up for my earlier food choices.

I'm so glad I did the Challenge. When I first started, I really didn't think I would finish! Congrats to everyone who completed the Challenge!

Finished week 4 this morning. Did the Abs workout twice. I have a cold so have not done any other video today as I did not feel up to it. I completed the challenge criteria for the extras this week and posted my goals earlier this week.
At last, I have lost 1lb. Woo Hoo!

Congrats to all finishing Week 4!

I just did my final workout a few minutes ago. Those side abs workouts are killers for me. I really enjoyed this challenge.

I have finished the challenge. I have had some weight loss and am doing better with the strength videos. I plan to continue videos 2 - 3 X per week, so I get more challenge than I had been doing previously.

January Jumpstart challenge complete! I finished the month with a 1/2 inch loss on my waist and 2 inches on my hips. And I re-developed the exercise habit. I'm going to continue 5K training...I actually like the running now! I'm also going to do the Day 2 and 5 videos at least once a week as well as the strength training at the gym once a week!

This was just what I needed to get and keep me on track!

Yahoo!!!!!!!!!! January Jumpstart Challenge completed. Today was easier for me, probably because it is the last day. Did the video and 60 minutes of cardio.
I think I will start right back tomorrow and do it again. This literally gave me a "jump start", I was in a rut.Hope each of you had a wonderful month, keep going and you will have that bikini body when spring arrive.

In the middle of winter, I really appreciate fun things like this. :)

I am so proud to have finished, and I certainly feel stronger! emoticon

At this time, my long term fitness goals are:
Continue strength training for bone and back health, most likely with more Coach Nicole videos!
Stay "5K ready" so that I can walk the occasional 5K or Volksmarch.
Continue along the road to back health by doing my physical therapy exercises (just started going to PT yesterday!).

The January Jumpstart challenge was a great way to start the year! It turned around some of the slippage from December and I'm set up with a solid streak foundation for 2012. Really great decision to join the group. Congratz to everyone in this team for your month of effort and keep it going!

Today being my final day I decided to step it up a bit working the abs. Walked 35 minutes this morning, day 7 video, 2 Turbo Jam videos (Ab Jam and Cardio Party Mix 1). Participating in this challenge has been a huge motivation for me. Without it I probably would have fallen back into not exercising on days I did not feel up to it. I am glad that I stuck it out. Now I am ready to go on to the next challenge.

Week four accomplished. The last four weeks have been great, this was such a good challenge. Over the last four weeks my body has been challenged and I am well on my way to making exercise a good habit. Each week I incorporated a little more exercise. Don't know if I have lost any as tomorrow is my weigh in day, but I see some changes in my body and energy level is certainly higher. For Feb. I plan to continue exercising 6-7 days a week, get my fitness score at the gym, form an exercise plan for there, continue tracking my food, exercise and water. Jan. has been a good month and plan on making Feb. an even better one. Wishing much success to all.

Lost three pounds on the month... not as much as I'd hoped (was shooting for five), but then I've been under-eating according to the charts. This was just the kick in the pants I needed to get back on track after nearly two years of forgoing exercise almost completely.

So, my medium-term goal now is just to keep on track, exercise-wise, and the long-term goal is to cut back on the cheating on between-meal snacks (still something of a problem). getting a job would help a lot, as will the warmer weather coming soon.

I finished !! This past week has been hectic due to additional activities I promised to others. I had to double up on a day or two of the exercises but I did them all. My measurements have changed but my weight went up by 2 lbs. Admittedly though, this past week of eating has also been off the norm.

I will finish the challenge on Monday with a weigh in and measurement check! I am nervousI Even though I have been exercising and eating right and logging everything, my clothes don't feel any different. I know I didn't gain, and that's a blessing, but I hope I won't be dissapointed.
I'm off to Target to pick up coach nicoles 28 day challenge for February..

And so the challenge ends. A 7 mile hike and my new favorite workout - core fitness! What a great way to end the challenge and start the year!
My journey continues as I struggle with the restrictions of weather for the rest of the winter while continuing to work on maintaining last year's weight loss and see the effects that toning exercises are having on my shape. I am thrilled to say the least. But I also know that everything it took to reach this point is going to be required to keep the weight off - plenty of cardio, lots of strength training, variety, tracking food (though not all the time like before - now it is more of a check up for me) and many many glasses of water!

My last day tomorrow! Had to do 5 videos today to catch up as was not well with sinus headache and our extremely HOT weather over here in Western Australia. emoticon

Am going to look at joining another Challenge for February!

Lost 1 Kg over the 4 weeks , but more importantly I learnt a lot more about my body and how much it improved over the 4 weeks. The pillates video nearly killed me the first time, today, it still hurt but I kept to form a lot better!

Thank you Sparkpeople for the design of the challenge, certainly kept me interested and keen.

Done. Glad I did it, even though I gained weight the last 10 days... not sure what my body is doing but this seems to be the norm. I know I am feeding it right, drinking enough water, and exercising as planned (Curves Smart and the goals in this team). Guess that is just what my body does (allergies I think). Thanks to all for being such a wonderful team - the support was fabulous. My next goal is Coach Nicole's 28 day Boot Camp DVD. Anyone else starting that tomorrow?

This has been a great challenge for me; I was able to maintain my weight throughout the challenge making it 5 weeks weight maintenance since I lost the stubborn 5 pound! emoticon Now that I am able to do 60 minutes cardio with no problem, my long term goal is:
- do 4 cardio a week
- do 3 strength exercises a week
- do at least one coach nicole fast trrack video a day
- continue my daily 10 minutes abs routines
Feel energetic and emoticon with my accomplishments so far
The past 4 weeks helped me realized that I can push myself harder than I thought. Now I am able to do 20 modified push ups straight without resting emoticon Another step completed emoticon towards a healthier me! emoticon

Finished the challenge today in spite of some other "challenges" this month! My ongoing plan - get the sparkpeople cookbook and possible Nicole's DVD (if I don't win them this week). Continue to look at the 150 min cardio as a minimum and aim for more, continue to aim for at least 10 min exercise daily. Before this challenge I only aimed for 5 days/week.

Do not pray for easy lives; pray to be stronger men. Do not pray for tasks equal to your powers; pray for powers equal to your tasks. wow last day in week 4! Is there going to be a February Challenge?
Yesterday I spent 2 hours at the gym--1 hour on the recumbent bike and 1 hour on the machines--great workout! I even bought a few smaller sizes in workout clothes!

Today I stay here waiting for a repair man to come--may just be cleaning house.

Finished up this morning! I lost a couple of pounds and found some great short workouts for morning. I plan to continue with 4-5 morning strength workouts and my Zumba and Step classes, but I will take one day off a week - that's my reward for sticking with the exercise plan for the other six days. Thanks for the Challenge, it was fun!

Yippee - I did it. I am going to continue to get at least 150 minutes of cardio a week and to make sure I get strength exercises for upper, lower and core at least twice a week (but will probably do 2 days of full body strength).

Day 6 of Week 4 - I've learned a bunch of new exercises that will always stay in my exercise routine. I'm enjoying my 28 Day Bootcamp DD. I'll just be glad when the weather lets me walk outside again.

This has been a great start to 2012! Today I finished the challenge and I lost 6.8 #'s and 8" ! But better than that I learned new ways to exercise the body. This week I know that I have been burning up fat, but I fear that I have spent the week building up muschle. I don't expect to see any change with the scale, maybe a gain ! All is welcome because I know that I have found a better way of living. Healthy, well balanced food plan and the incussion of exercise. You don't have to beat yourself up, you just have to have the body in motion.
Thanks Coaches ! Thanks SPark TEAM !!!!! Wishing everyone else a wonderful trip !

My plans are to pick up the DVD 28 Day bootcamp from Target once they are back in stock ! Looks as if it is a winner! Tomorrow I will start the 8 Week Challenge for Diabetics ! I know that one well, and it works well at keeping the diabetes under control.

I just finished week four last day! emoticon I am so glad I did this challenge. I discovered some new workouts that I wouldn't have otherwise. I did not lose weight, BUT I did lose fat. I am in maintenance, so that is more important. emoticon To continue, I am going to start Coach Nicole's 28 Day Boot Camp workout DVD. I will stay motivated and continue to get results. Thank you! emoticon

finished today, wasn't easy due to arthritis stiffness but I did the best I could
My goal is to increase my strength training, start increasing the intensity to my cardio, and to do a better job with my food intake.
I didn't loose wt. this week and I know it's because I didn't watch my portion control as I should have.

Finished up today. I did have a loss for the month so for that I'm happy. Didn't do my measurements, if I remember I will do them tomorrow or Wednesday. Repeated the videos on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
