you both sound beautiful!

But to answer the question, yesterday AGAIN my mantra came to my rescue albeit in a slightly different form: What do you want MORE? (answer:) TO LOSE THE WEIGHT!

Daughter is wearing size 3-4 and i wear size 4-6. I can wear her pull on size 4-6 shorts now. i'm still 128 lbs but that coconut oil flushed fat off. She wears a 34B bra & I wear 34DD bra so we definitely do not share tops, lol.

because I reminded myself over and over like a mantra as I drove past the fast food places (I was hungry) on my way home, " I want to lose weight; I want to lose weight...."

I was successful yesterday because I walked a mile and uphill on one street at a faster pace than usual.

I was successful yesterday, because I stayed within my RDI and did not let the thought of having a low caloric intake phase me.

I was not hungry and slept really well. emoticon

Today, I am giving up "heavy cream." I have been drinking coffee emoticon for years, and thought I could not live without emoticon heavy cream in my coffee.

While today is my first day really swearing off the stuff, I find that I saved 200 emoticon calories in the switch-off. emoticon

It does not taste bad, I think ... emoticon

My successful year was 2012 and I am still going strong. Indygirl once said "you have to want it more than food." Yes, I feel the same way. I was successful today because I kept to low carb and exercised. I have found the Atkins meals to be most helpful on days I don't want to cook. They can be found at superWalmarts for a lower price than the regular grocery stores.

When I tell people I am doing Atkins and I have not progressed though the phases, they are shocked and tell me they tried Atkins and found it boring. I don't know an easier way to lose weight and maybe when I get closer to my goal weight I will have to figure out the balance between carbs and mantaining my weight but that is not for another year the way I am going.

I have found that substituting what I loved for the foods that are on the acceptable food list can be fun. I made Shepard's Pie a couple weeks back with cauliflower instead of potatoes. I have not made Shepard's Pie in ages - my daughter told me this recipe is a keeper. I still miss real pasta but I love making zucchini noodles (angel hair, spaghetti, fettuccine) and trying to come up with new sauces and new ways to make it. It can be fun if you are adventerous and like to play with your food.

Love ya lots and lots and lots Whole bunches WHOOO!!! HUGZ

What made me successful today...It was agreeing on Auguat 1st to the NO CHEAT in August pledge. On I actually had been letting in small amounts of carbs here and there throughout the day, and my weight loss was stalling. Now, on August 3rd, I was 34 lbs down. Today, I am 39 lbs down. One pound short of 40, and now I am 43 lbs from my goal. I feel very good after this weight loss, and have turned my diabetes on it's end. Since starting, my A1c's are now in the normal range. Triglycerides were cut in half, and and now below 100. Thanks to Atkins, and thanks for the support I have received at Spark.

Whatever It Takes!!

One day at a time, and on a rough day, one minute at a time. For me the hardest thing to do was stop guilt tripping and beating myself up. If I ate a donut at work in the morning, I would assume I blew the whole day, turn it into six donuts, then go into the 'I've blown it anyway' mode which would throw me into a 2-3 day binge. Now, I still slip once in a while, but I have learned to let my slip be one moment in my day.
