She is adorable! I think the thing I discovered while attempting the 30 Days was that I really do LOVE yoga, just not maybe her brand of yoga. Trying to copy her moves made me feel defeated. But the yoga class I go to makes me feel proud and accomplished.

I still think there's a flavor of yoga out there for everyone...Adriene's just isn't for the body I have right now. And that's okay.

As of today I AM DONE with the 30 Day Yoga Challenge! I'm pretty sure it took me longer than 30 days, but I did it. And I will probably continue to do yoga on occasion, just not every day. Adriene is adorable!

I believe I have a Morton's neuroma, which is an enlarge nerve between the 2nd and 3rd metatarsals. It feels like I'm walking on bubble wrap that's popping. I really only notice it when I'm barefoot or wearing flipflops, so I'm pretty sure wearing better shoes will help, and I got some little pad things to wear with less supportive shoes. I'm going to try running again tomorrow and see how it goes!

I'm doing day 26 of the 30 day challenge tonight, almost done!

Am I the only one still doing this? I'm on day 23, but I'm behind about 3 videos. I'm going to finish just to say I did it, and also because I need to take a break from 5k training until I get a brace for my foot.

Well, I totally fell off the 30 Days of Yoga wagon. I'm still doing yoga and still loving it, but I found myself in a resting pose more than doing Adriene's actual moves. I'm searching out some videos that are more "curvy body" friendly. And... I'm dropping my Thursday night water aerobics class in order to get another yoga class in.

Andrea...Thank you for the heads up. You are the Kettle Bell Queen and if these videos are making you a bit nauseous and shaky I can only imagine what they would do to me. It like getting on the Texas Giant (rollercoaster), I'm not ready yet.

I'm not sure if it was me or the video, but I did Day 15 of the yoga challenge today, and I got really nauseous at the end of it. It was the half moon pose one? MAN that pose is HARD. I was shaking and my thighs were burning. I'm going to do my 5k training after work then do Day 16, which is only 15 minutes long, and then I'll be caught up. Tomorrow I'll only do the one vid, and I'm meeting my walking group, but other than that I'm taking a "rest" day.

I'm a yoga newbie, and despite I guess being "fit", I'm still struggling with some of these videos! Nothing here is a requirement, and adaptability is a quality I appreciate! We're not all the same, and adjustments are a part of life. I'm actually running one video behind, so today I'm going to do 2. If I can do it without whining it'll be something! :)

V.... I do not know your name and I am sorry. Thank you so much for starting this Challenge. I will start at an easier level and work my way to these videos. This is going to be fun and I actually like yoga.

Andrea... Thank you also for letting me fudge and do a simpler form of yoga first. Like V said in an earlier post " Do what you can for the body you have today."

Bonnie... I'm sorry that yoga didn't help with your back pain.Part of my therapy after a car wreck was that I was assigned yoga moves. It helped me walk again.Not that I couldn't walk at all, just that I had a foot that dragged.

Would it be ok if I did the Ekhart yoga videos on YouTube for thirty days, then when I am in a little better shape try this 30 day challenge? I trust Esther on Ekhart to not take my body where it could not possibly go.

I have the same problem! The other problem I have is that she'll hold some poses forever and moves through some really quickly, so by the time I'm out of table and into downward dog she's moved on to something else.

I know part of it is just getting my body used to make those movements, but also that isn't usually a problem for me in my actual class.

It's hard for me when she moves from downward facing dog to lunges. I can NOT get my leg up that far! I just stand a little and adjust as necessary. I have really tight hamstrings, too.

Ok, I'm not going to lie... I'm struggling! It's hard. Days nine and ten seemed harder than they should have been because my legs were sore from my actual yoga class. I spent more time in child pose than I should have.

It can be really hard or even impossible for larger bodies to do some of Adriene's moves and I find some of her transitions awkward.

But, I am not giving up! I'm finding that during the challenge and also during my Sunday class my hands sometimes have trouble comfortably reaching the mat so I ordered some blocks last night.

How's everyone else doing?

I did get days three and four done last night, and day five this morning. I much prefer doing yoga when I've had some time to wake up alas, that's just not going to happen on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I'm even more uncoordinated first thing in the morning!

I forgot what Adriene called it but I love that thing where you lay on your back with the soles of your feet pressed together and your knees out to the side! The longer I stayed like that the more my hips relaxed and loosened up. It felt great!

I suck! I overestimated the amount of time I had between water aerobics and bedtime last night. I think I'm going to double up tonight and do day 3 and 4. Then, do day 5 in the morning since I have water aerobics again tomorrow night. Then I'll be back on track.

Day two kicked my butt. High lunges? NOPE. I think part of my issue tonight was attitude and mindset. I'm cranky and hormonal and have a bit of a headache from work stress today.

There's this thing that the instructor on my favorite yoga dvd says, and the instructor at my class says a version of it as well: Do what you can for the body you have today.

Today my body was cranky and did not want to balance or stretch. I did my best. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

I know! I just finished too and didn't realize how long the video was until I was done. I swear I read they were all 10-15 minutes. About halfway through I was like, "Okay...any time now!"

The website said the sessions are 10-15 minutes long which really appealed to me. I've really been wanting to get a quick session in before bed so I think it might be a good fit.

Yoga definitely isn't for everyone. It's okay to feel like you're challenging your body in new ways, but it should never hurt. There are also a lot of modifications out there that can be beneficial to people with physical limitations. There's even chair yoga!

It was suggested to me to try yoga because of my back pain. I tried it but it caused more pain. I hope you enjoy it.
