These are two sitting exercises that I do a lot.

While in your chair, slowly kick each foot outwards...left, right, left, right...while your foot is up slowly flex your foot back and forth.

While sitting, raise your arms at the elbow toward your heart.

When I do these my circulation and muscle memory improve.

I encourage you !

Sorry, I was responding from my phone yesterday and couldn't easily provide a link. Hopefully this helps!

I am not able to drive at this point so can't do water or swimming. I can't figure out the search box at the top of the page. I am not too great yet at figuring out the in's and out's of this system but hope to catch on. Seated position exercises are something I am very willing to try at this point. Thank you for helping me to get started coach Jen.

Welcome! Would water exercise or swimming be an option for you? Also, if you type “limited mobility” into the search box at the top of the page, you’ll find a section of workouts that can all be done from a seated position.

Hope that helps,

Coach Jen

I am 74, obese and have some pain issues. I need to exercise but need something gentle to get me going. What kinds of things can I do? Please give me some suggestions. I use a cane and walking is difficult.
