During hot weather I take sips of water and splash some on my head, neck, wrists to keep me cooler.

Maybe try some water before and carry a bottle with you on your walk. That way you've got it if you need it.

thank you for your reply Jen it is very dry here where I live in the northern part of BC Canada. as a rule I drink 2 to 3 litres of water daily, never before I do my early am walk , I usually drink 1 maybe 2 coffees first. later on in the day after I drink quite a bit of water I do my exercises.

How is the humidity level where you live? Are you well-hydrated before your walk?

I have been walking for 11 weeks now , 305 miles total or 490 kilos and this past week and a half I have been starting to get over heated and totally sweating soon after I begin my walk. yes the temperatures are a little warmer but I start really early in the morning.

I also notice I am more red faced and increased sweating when I do my easy workouts.
is this a normal happenstance?
