Our Amtrak trip included meals. I ate from the menu, including cheesecake each evening. Paul & I took our cheesecake back to the sleeper to be a bedtime snack. I skipped rolls and butter, but otherwise ate what appealed to me each meal. No other snacks.

The Hearties event included several meals. Thursday a regional cookie reception. (1 cup hot unsweetened tea, 1 cookie). Friday included buffet dinner. (1 serving of what I wanted on 1 plate, 2 tiny slices of cheesecake). Saturday breakfast buffet. (Again, 1 serving of whatever I wanted on 1 plate).

I took quite a few Nutrisystem meals. We ate Subway x2. One special meal was authentic Chinese. No idea what we ate! But it was 4 items, each split between us, w/o dessert.

I wouldn't say it was a perfect way of handling things, but I was able to maintain those 2 weeks. Plus I got right back on Nutrisystem effective Sunday noon, and I've now lost 1 pound.

How do you handle your flex meals? Do you follow the Nutrisytem plan exactly, with power foods, smart cabs etc.? Do you have another system? Do you wing it? Do you throw discipline out the window and eat whatever you feel like?
