I'm putting this here because "Asian-American children are 40 percent more likely to suffer from food allergies than the U.S population at large, according to a 2011 report published in the journal Pediatrics, the only American food allergy study which offers statistics specifically on Asian-Americans." Also, "Asian food incorporates a significant amount of the most common food allergens such as shellfish, eggs, peanuts, and soy." I have allergies to soy, peanuts, wheat, cashews, and others, which makes it difficult to consume Korean and Thai foods.
