I have been doing some sort of activity for 20 minutes since Jan. 1! My usual is my walking buddy. With the cooler weather coming, shoveling snow will most likely.

My fitness program is to keep it simple. I added the Joyn app to my Roku device, and am absolutely in love! I plan to do at least 30 minutes of exercise a day, starting off with 3 sets of 10 minute workouts.I currently do chair exercise, but hope to starting standing soon. I will also be taking my Boston Terrier for walks daily (multiple). I live near a major walking path and the dog park is within walking distance, but not close.

I'm tired of living on the sidelines...I'm ready to get into the race!!!!!

I have been doing videos from Get Healthy U TV since February. I follow the exercise calendar of the month. My clothes are put on first thing in the AM. No shower till AFTER I workout!

I can barely manage to run to my room to get dressed while my kids have breakfast in the morning, so I will skip anything that requires specific workout clothes. But, I can walk laps around the yard while my kids play, and fit several 10 minute mini workouts in during the day. Most is low intensity, so I want to work harder to up the intensity more frequently.

I am Serena. I now live most of the time at a lodge on the western side of Washington state. I was ready to retire this past July but decided to transfer and stick around for another couple years. I don't think I will last another couple years. The ranch just sold and will close shortly and that will be my opportunity to pay off my new truck and my barn and finally leave the workforce behind! We are opening a destination airbnb and I will be working full time with that and training my new Gypsy

60 to 90 mins a day. Most of it will likely be walking but also stretching (ahhhh just feels so GOOD!!) and some ST too!!

What is your exercise plan? Walk everyday, strength at least 4 times a week, Wii sports as often as I feel.

Starting today - aim for at least 20 minutes of daily exercise to gain momentum and surge into the challenge. You can break it into smaller sessions if that helps. But don't mistake being busy for being physically active. You need exercise to have ease of movement and strength to do your daily activities. Be healthy to feel happier. Begin with the end in mind!

Resources - Dust off the scale, put your exercise clothes out where you can see them, pull out the runners, find the gym bag (maybe not yet), wash and fill the water bottle, pump up the tires on the bike, find the activity tracker, pedometer, heart rate monitor, skipping rope, swimsuit, dog leash if you have a dog, take the clothes off the treadmill, find your Walk Away the Pounds video, see what exercise programs are at your gym (virtual gym), on TV, YouTube, find a Meetup group (again maybe later) that walks dances or bikes. Just get out there.

Tip - put a pair of runners, jacket, umbrella and a hat in the car so you are ready to walk any time, any where.

Program - Plan on what exercises you actually will do. If you are just starting out aim for consistency; will you walk 20 minutes a day? If you have been exercising for a while can you challenge yourself to increase the intensity or time? Follow Spark exercises for upper, core, lower and whole-body exercises. Some household chores are classified as exercise ie. vacuuming, cleaning the garage, etc. Look at chair exercises if you have mobility issues or to add additional exercise minutes while you watch TV. There are a few Spark exercises that require little equipment, and are the same as other professional trainers assign. But my favorite exercises are on YouTube - so much variety, intensity and fun!

I have done daily YouTube exercise videos everyday since May 28th. Yes lots of variety!
