today i burned about 1300 cals...10 min elliptical warm up, 45 min body pump class, 45 mind cardio/step class, and 60 min extreme fitness class

Feb 15-Feb 21: 1056 calories burned

Goal NOT met but it didn't help I only exercised 4 days. However, I DID burn more than the previous week!

I'll keep on trying...

I did Denise Austin's Cardio Boot Camp. Only 128 calories for the 20 minute workout - I should have done the Strength Boot Camp too to add on another 20 minutes.

I didn't make last week's goal by 232 calories. I had a hectic fri-sat but I thought I can manage to burn some calories... and I just didn't have enough time. I will make this weeks!!

My fitness tracker says 2318 calories burned. I got a HRM the other day and I know SP numbers are over what I'm actually doing. But, I'm convinced I did at least 2000, especially if I include daily activities. Hoping this week I can meet the goal even with more accurate tracking!

Fitness_Fanatic-- U can adjustment your calories burned in the my fitness section.. It doesnt change itself... Go to your fitness plan and by strength training, click change your settings. There's a calories burned for the week under cardio.

hmm, I'm not totally positive if your calorie alottment will change by itself, or if you have to manually change the amount of calories you plan on burning for it to change. In any case, if you continue to exceed the calories you burn, you'll probly just have to eat a little bit more to avoid starvation mode. I wouldn't worry too much about it. Maybe someone else will have more insight

So, I did end up burning about 2300 calories this week! And most of it was working out. I'm actually looking at getting a HRM so I can track more accurately.

When I input my info into the fitness tracker, I got a note saying that I exceeded my calories burned goal but that my nutrition tracker had not been adjusted. Does this mean that if I keep doing this, eventually my calories tracker will change?

I can't decide if that's a good thing or a bad thing.

Lissa- it's def. possible to burn the week's calories from just working out....that's what i'm doing at least. I feel that I can't properly estimate the amount of calories I burn from just regular everyday stuff I have to do, I almost feel like it's cheating (maybe I'm just weird) Anyway, burned 395 cals on the treadmill today and about to do a pilates dvd, keep up the good work everyone!

I think this challenge will be quite an eye-opener for me.

I went into my fitness tracker and changed the weekly calories burned goal to 2000. I started tracking on Saturday to try and get used to tracking daily activities and discovered I'm pretty pathetic about burning calories throughout the day. I don't do much moving around! (Although I did track how many calories I burned sitting in church! LOL)

I'm in. I'm training for a marathon so I'm doing a lot of running but I'm frustrated because I've hit a plateau that I just can't seem to shake. I've been at the same weight for several weeks now. Bleh!

5 Week Cardio Challenge

Feb1- Feb7: 2000 calories burned
Feb 8- Feb 14: 3000 calories burned
Feb 15- Feb 21: 4000 calories burned
Feb 22- Feb 28: 3000 calories burned
March 1- March 7: 2000 calories burned

I sent an email to the team requesting challenge ideas... Thank you for your input. I decided to create a challenge that the team requested. Since the holiday season is over, most of us haven't being working out as much. So let's start jump-start our weight loss before summer comes.

For the next 5 weeks, focus on getting enough cardio. You may also include strength training as a part of your weight loss for the challenge. You may include 100 crunches (3 times a week). You can track your crunches under your team goals. (I’m starting the team off with smaller calories burned goals, but the next challenges will definitely increase to help get us bikini ready for the summer.)

For this challenge, add how much you have burn over a week—including shopping, cleaning the house, playing with your children, cooking, etc. I know it takes a bit of time during your day, but I have done this challenge with our team in the past and it was successful… I managed to lose 10 pound in a month, including a healthy diet as well. I tracked it by having a small notebook and wrote down my activities and the length amount of time I did it. I posted links of websites that can help you calculate your calories burned.

Note: If you are burning 3500 calories a week, you should lose 1 pound that week. If you burn 7000 calories, you should lose 2 pounds that week. Also, I wouldn’t start out over exercised… gradually start increasing your cardio.

All is welcome to join in at any time. Don’t give up!!!

Challenge begins on Sunday. Post your starting weight and your goal weight by the end of the challenge.
