I am so sorry for the loss of your friend. I think your plan to honor his memory is a great one. Survivors aren't just those with the disease. Welcome to the team.

I had a friend who was my former college roommate back in the early 1980s. He died of a rare form of lymphoma on June 19,2016. I have been having difficulties with insomnia and overeating. I dont know why he had to get the cancer. He was such a beautiful personality. I thought that I was more deserving of the cancer. I have some anger over this. I am a Christian so the best that I can come up with is that I will honor his memory by leading the best life that i can. I want to support people whose loved ones didnt survive cancer. I am not sure that this is the most appropriate forum for my needs but I did survive my friend who recently died of cancer.
