I did well until dinner last night, although I did not eat everything I had ordered.

hey all!

How are we all doing during this crisis? Well, I wish I could say I was doing great, but Scott and I have both been furloughed:( Not as bad as laid off, but not good either. So needless to say i havent been as careful with food as I normally would.

I want to run all the races!

Morning all,

Just checking in to say hi and see how things are going.

I'm holding my own but no loss this week. I've been getting out here and there for some walks which has definitely helped but this week work was too crazy so I've sort of been chained to the laptop - thus no loss. Hopefully things will be better next week!

Anyway, hope you are all doing well.

Happy Friday!

I THINK I'm down about 1.4? Maybe a little less but in that area so I'll take it.

Nervous thou because tonight I have to go to a wake and then the family invited us back to this restaurant that is known for great pizza! I'm THINKING they are going to be doing that for the group hopefully along with a salad. I just hope I can resist and have 1 slice of pizza with salad but I'm not going to lie, it's going to be tough for me....I'm going to try my best!

Hope everyone is doing well.

Great job Maryanne!

I went to an event last night that just had snacks. I believe I overloaded on salt. My hands feel still today. I will increase my water and hope for the best.

Morning ladies.

Happy to report I am down 2.4 lbs this week. I was shooting for 3 lbs but am happy to see 2.4....it's a start!

I have been doing much better with the water but now here we are at the weekend again which is my worst time! I'm going to the casino tonight and we have dinner reservations for 6:15. My friend and I are packing clothes to go to the gym tomorrow morning so hopefully I will stick with that plan!

Yes indeed. All her talk of water has inspired me to drink up today. Actually I just prefer plain old fashioned water but haven't been drinking enough lately. Hoping today can be the start of me getting back on track and getting in my fluids!

Well, I am finally back on track, i'm down another pound for the first time since the demotion junk happened. So i'm down 38 so far!

Funny you should mention water. Have any of you heard of the Cirkul water bottle? total game changer. its a 22 oz water bottle (they do make smaller ones too that are easier for travel, etc) you fill the bottle with water and then insert one of the flavor cartirdges. Less plastic, less waste and all their flavors are 0 calories and 0 sugar. and the level of flavor is adjustable, I'm hooked!

Can you increase your water at night Jen? Or brush your teeth to make you not want to eat? Or find an activity that keeps your hands busy? I find for me that I eat at night when I am tired. I really should just go to bed.

Keep up the hard work Maryanne! You can achieve that goal.

So yesterday my husband bought me 6 of my favorite Polish donuts! I believe he means well. I just have to keep telling myself that because he has been my biggest saboteur for over 30 years. And that is saying a lot given that I can easily sabotage myself without much effort.

Janine that's awesome! Congrats on the loss and keep it going.

I have been nothing short of a walking disaster. On Thursday I said that's it! Must be down by 1 by this morning. Unfortunately I was only down .8 but that's ok - it's a start. Now for next Saturday I have set a big goal of 3 lbs! With a long weekend here it will be tough but I must push myself to do it. I worked way too hard to do this AGAIN. Weekends are where I go haywire so I am going to really try hard this LONG weekend to stay on course. Fingers crossed that I have good news to report next week.

Have a great week.

Oh Jen that absolutely stinks about the job but don't beat yourself up over the 2 lb gain. Just get thru the situation as best as you can and get right back on track.

I'm still struggling and having made any progress in 2 weeks. This week is again going to be a 'no gain/no loss' week. I just keep trying.....It's going to click again and very soon - it has to!

Thanks, ladies. Things have taken a turn for the worse. At work, my department was eliminated. I still have a job, but we were demoted all the way back to the call center, it's like a 30% pay cut too. And I took the demotion hard, didnt pay attention to what I've been eaten and drinking the past couple of weeks. Gianed 2 pounds back last I checked.

I didn't do so great this week. Didn't gain but didn't make much progress. Hoping the upcoming week will be better for me!

I did manage to get in close to two hours of snow shoveling exercise in this morning!

Good Morning and a great big happy stinking Monday.

What a gorgeous weekend we had with the weather! I managed to overindulge at my niece's baby shower......sigh, my biggest fault. If I see yummy food, I feel that I have to eat it!

Regardless - as of my weigh in Saturday morning I am down another 3 lbs.

Decided to actually start tracking my goal here in this thread.

GOAL - LOSE 19.6
Week 1 - down 2.8 lbs
Week 2 - down 3.4 lbs

Next goal by Saturday the 18th - 2 lbs

Let me hear from you and share how you are doing!!

Have a great week all.

Maryanne

I am game! I am not in Massachusetts for a couple of months, but by the time I return, I plan on being at my goal (I have 10.4 lbs. to go). I held steady during December; so I want to pick up where I left off. Living in Southern weather helps me get the exercise in because I am not a gym person. I like to do my exercise outdoors. Good luck all!

I'm in. I've been off my exercise routine and gaining weight back. I started my new healthy routine in August by starting to exercise more and starting a meditation practice. I've also started Reiki and very recently, Tai Chi.

I didn't make a resolution, but a goal. I will do at least one new healthy thing a month, to make it a healthy habit. This month I'm eating a healthier yogurt. Next month - no more sandwiches for lunch. Going healthier. March will be one less spoonful of sugar in my green tea.

I hope all of this will help me lose weight. However one doctor told me she thinks I'm in perimenopause and to expect to be challenged in my weight loss journey. Ugh! I will do my best!

I am now truly at my heaviest and am ready to change this all! I hung a dress on my door earlier last year and look at it multiple times a day. But it never really stuck that I MEAN I want to wear this dress! I am getting in that dress this year for sure. I want it. I need it. I am ready.

Good Morning Team,

For anyone that wants to challenge themselves AND share their battles, this is the place to do it.

I have had a rough few months and have slid back down the slope of good health. With a fresh new year/decade I am starting my climb back up to the top.

My first goal is set - to drop 8 lbs by the end of January and get back to my WW goal weight! The candy has been put away, the cookies have been given away and now it's time to get back on track and focus on ME.

Feel free to join me on your journey......I hope to post my updates (good or bad) every Friday.

Back to basics for me this first week.

HAPPY NEW YEAR to all of the MA Sparklers - may it be the best one yet.
