35 miles a week is really great goal to meet! I would like to try and do it this week. The last few weeks I finally started jogging again so I feel like I could do it this week. I think it will be tough but I am willing to give it a shot!

35 miles is A LOT. That's something I could never do/don't have the time to do. I do a 6 mile run once a week, and a 3.5 mile run 2 times a week. Other days, I do the elliptical and the bike. I'm doing plenty of working out, but 35 miles a week on the treadmill alone? Heck no! You're doing awesome!

35 a week is proving an easy challenge to meet. 5 a day 7 days a week. I was thinking to change it. But I'm finding anymore to be Boring. Hows everyone doing?

I would like to join you, your goal sounds good to me. Right now I'm in training for the 2012 L.A. rocknroll half marathon its next month Oct 28. and i have another one in December my goal for the is four half marathons. Right now I'm at 3 miles every other day I want to work up to 6 to 7 miles by next month and be running/walking 7 miles during the last couple weeks of training.
2 half marathons down 2 to go. I wish you luck.

nope. thats 5 miles all at once. morning and night. But you could do 2.5 morning and 2.5 at night. or whatever works for you. I don't have any kids and just the two [and a half] jobs also its warm here now. I am positive as soon as the weather is consistantly below 0 I won't make it to 5 miles a day anymore... maybe 10 a week. I walk everywhere I go. also I should mention i lent my pedo metor to my husband and have not seen it sence. So I don't count anyother walking except my planned route which i mapped out on this site. Actually I walk more than 5 miles any given day walking to and from work or the store for grocerys

Acutally, this seems like a really good idea! 5 miles sounds daunting, but I'm willing to try! Do you just break up the milage throughout the day?

Anyone till doing this? Do you think its time to bump it up? or is 5miles a day enough?
Im not always doing 5 a day sometimes I do 10. and others none. These overnight shifts are leaving me exhausted :( you'd think it would be the same I sleep 8 hours most of the time.

p.s. I wasn't counting miles done in spin class M-W-F Do any of you also count miles biked? Do you think I should?

Im not sure intense is the right word.. maybe if i wanted to run 5 or 10 miles a day.. right now running one mile seems like an impossible goal. the 20,000 steps at work i dont even notice and a 5 mile walk it more fun than intense. So far so good :D

This is one of my challenges for myself. I am working my way up to running a full mile without slowing or stopping. i already do about 10,000 steps a day at work (with the average stride 2,000 steps is a mile) Id like to walk another 5 miles a day on top of that
