I am one week into this challenge, so here is my weigh in!

Challenge start weight: 214
December 9th weight: 212 (2 pounds down!!!)
Challenge goal weight: 209

I am proud to say that the only thing I changed in this first week is eating less sweets, chocolate and chips - some days, I didn't even eat any! Next week, I am going to continue on this plan (less or no sweets) and also add a little bit of extra cardio to keep the momentum going!

I'll try it!
Start weight (12/7) 175.6
Goal weight (12/25) 170.6

I'll cross my fingers and do an extra set or two of my exercises. Watch what I eat extremely carefully. And when baking, only taste ONE. That's my plan.

All right, I'm joining this challenge, but I don't know if I can do it... I've been stuck between 170-175 for a month. I entered December weighing 170 pounds and I haven't made any big progress this week, but having this small goal to aim for may keep me accountable. So here it goes.

I currently weigh 170
By December 31, I hope to weigh 165.

I will be upping my exercise in order to create the 700 calorie deficit. In addition, I will be handling holiday treats by trying to keep everything in moderation.

I'm already getting excited to weigh in this Saturday! As a reminder to everyone try to remember what time of day and what clothes you were wearing during initial weigh in so you can be accurate each weigh in. It makes a big difference especially with a smaller goal like 5 pounds. Hope everyone is having a great week! If not, there is still time to turn it around!

I'll join you in losing 5 pounds by Christmas day! I am in dire need!

So here we go:

Challenge start weight: 214
Challenge goal weight: 209

My plan: I am going to cut out all junk (chocolate, baking, pop, fast food, french fries, chips etc...) Also, I will keep going to the gym at least 3 times per week, hoping to up my cardio a bit by adding a fourth day per week.

Good luck!!!

I am with you!!
This is a great goal! Very do-able!
I also get down in the winter...fresh-air and exercise is the only cure! I am going to shoot for 5 Lbs by christmas and if more falls off with it than GREAT! But my goal is 5lbs! My workouts will consist of running/spinning and strength training via classes at my local gym. I'm also making it a point to plan all my meals and snacks so i stay within my 1200-1550 cal goal!

Start Weight: 170Lbs
Goal Weight: 165LB

I'll start.

Starting weight: 143
Current Weight: 143
Goal weight: 138

Plan:
-Create at least a 700 calorie deficit every day by staying on a 1200-1550 calorie diet and exercising. My plan is to not let cooler weather stop me and to plunge into the outdoors for walking and running to get some fresh air, exercise, and counteract Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD). It might sound silly but I really do start feeling incredibly down in the winter and I know a lot of it is because I keep myself inside all winter. I plan for my workouts to consist of running and strength training at the gym, running outdoors, Ripped in 30 dvds, and yoga dvds.
emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
-Enjoy holiday baking in MODERATION. A great trainer and blogger (JillFit) once said, "ritualize, don't habitualize." That is going to be my motto this holiday season!

Anyone down to lose five pounds by Christmas Day with me?! Five pounds doesn't sound like a huge amount, but it works out to 1.4 pounds a week which is a good average I think. I think we could do it! Lets not feel gross and bloated all month. Lets be the "weird health nut" who loses weight when everyone else is gaining. This means approximately a 700 calorie deficit per day. Is anyone with me?
