Goals
Loose 10 lbs by June 1, 2010
Keep my BS in check. Nothing above 120.
Remember to take BS meds as Dr. directed. This seems to be my worse problem. I still have not gotten use to taking meds with first bite of food in am and dinner.

I would like to join the challenge.

Here are my goals.
1. Anount to loose 20 pounds

2. Add a healthy change Walk at least 30 minutes a day and if unable to walk outside then head to the mall to walk

3. Delete 1 unhealthy habit. Stop NOT taking my meds and insulin. Make sure that I take them as doctor instructs.

So far this month I have only lost one pound.
I'm not very happy about that.
Taking steroids is adding to the problem.
But at least the scale is going down.

I'm not just stuck, I'm going backwards! Weight 182, FBS 182, it was 12:30 before I managed to get to bed. (But I did manage to finish watching Secret Life of Bees, get my dishes washed, read half my e-mail -- that wasn't junk or spam, and put load of Mother's clothes in the washer.)

No loss, but no gain either. Been sick since Saturday, and to top it off was in a car accident Saturday. Eating mainly comfort food since. Going back to work today, hope to start moving back in the right direction. Hopefully will be able to blog on my sparkpage about it tonight.

Poor showing today: weight 180.5 What happened to 175.5 three days ago? FBS 188 I still can't seem to get to bed before 11:30 p.m.
Goal for next week: re-lose gained ground!

I gained one pound at the convention but have lost it again, still weighing in at 177. I want to be 170 by May 1.

The carbs have been down some, but still too many days over 120, which is my goal.

I'm not being successful at getting to bed by 10:30 yet.

With all the meds and steroids so glad it wasn't a gain.

I'm signing in early since I will get up at 4 a.m. Wednesday morning to catch an 8:30 plane to Houston for a library convention.

My weight was 177 Tuesday morning (no loss, slight gain)
I haven't been able to get to bed earlier than 11:30 this week. The goal was 10:30
But I've only eaten more than 120 carbs one day this week. Most days below 100 carbs, so I'm improving there.

I feel smaller, even if the scales don't show it yet -- and feel more energetic.

My goal for this week is to just hold my own with convention and hotel food challenges!

Lost 1 pound this week.
Had 4-5 small meals most days.
Having a hard time increasing my steps, only made it to 4200 a couple of times because of the pain in my right leg. Instead of increasing it to 5200 this week, I'm going to try for 4200 every day again. Guess it's time to make that appt. with the Ortho doc.

I lost 3 lbs this week.
I kept my carbs under 120 for the past three days.
I managed to get to bed by 11:15 instead of 12:00. -- The goal was 10:30!

I also walked two days and will ride the exercise bike this evening because of rain. This is an extra goal I've thrown in.

I lost 1 lb. this week, did get out and exercise each day. Even though I had one big emotional day of stinking thinking, I was able to let it go the next day, resolve to accept or change MY behavior, and move on. That is a big improvement for me!

can't wait for summer so I can eat all the watermelon, strawberries & honeydew I want.

I also love juicing them too, cantaloupe juice is the best!

I get so mad at times because fruits are so high in carbs especially bananas.

I know I'll be eating well over 100 carbs this summer but at least they will be from fruits.

Okay, I guess I'm first. I'm up .6 of a pound from last week. I did most of my BS readings, but the night grazing has been out of control this week. It's a really tough week for me. I know I'll get through it. I need to concentrate more on my healthy future than losing my husband 2 years ago this Saturday. I'll get there.

I just found the Spring challenge and am totally psyched to have a group to do it with. I found a walking buddy to help me get into routine morning walks, and I'm watching and recording every bite, checking the daily nutrition report to make sure I'm in the range. Happy Days.

It is not yet midnight here in Alaska.

1. I just pulled out the scales and the battery is dead or it is broken emoticon . I will report this tomorrow.
2. I received my C-Pap machine on Friday and have used it every night. emoticon
3. I haven't really counted all of the carbs. But have been consciously eating foods I know have fewer carbs. emoticon

I edited my Nutrition page so it divides up my snacks to mid-morning and afternoon, so now I can post 5-6 small meals instead of 3 main and 1 snack.

My starting weight is 213 for the Spring Challenge.

Found it. I did take my BS this morning and I'll report on the grazing this evening by editing this post. No grazing and slept like a baby. I might add another challenge if this gets to be easy.

3. Delete one unhealthy habit from your life. Stop eating fried & fattening foods, even though my cholesterol is 171 I need to bring my LDL down and my HDL up.

I also have sleep apnea, I use to use a c-pap but the pressure was too strong so now I use a bi-level going on four years now....

One of my other Spark Teams has a Spring Challenge.
When I joined the challenge and wrote out my goals I realized that it all applied to my Diabetes. And what my Doctor has been telling me.
So the challenge begins March 1 and ends May 31. The
goals are 1. Amount of lbs to lose.
2. Add one Healthy change to your life.
3. Delete one unhealthy habit from your life.

Here are mine:
My Goal is to lose 30 lbs.
The healthy thing I will add to my life is to get better sleep by using my C-Pap machine at night.
The Unhealthy thing- I need to eliminate from my life is
all the carbs in excess of the 150 allotted for my diabetes.

Oh and post results weekly.
Anyone care to join me??
