challenge points + weight loss points = total points
155 + 35 =190

My biggest down fall was not doing a food journal/track. I just got to busy on a few of the days. Hoping to see others post!!

I'm starting an 8 week Weight loss/Get Healthy Challenge Monday March 18th and ending Sunday May 12th. I found idea on internet and thought it would be more fun and motivating to do challenge with others.

Week 1 Points: (all points are earned each day except those marked differently)
1 pt - Contact with Fellow Challenger
3 pts - Drink 64 oz water
3 pts - Stop eating before 9 pm
3 pts - 2 Fruit Servings (1/2 cup each)
5 pts - 3 Vegetable Servings
5 pts - No Sweets/ Non nutritional sugary treats (only count 6 days for week)
5 pts - Keep Food Journal
5 pts - 30 minutes of Exercise or 7 pts for 45 minutes of Exercise (only count 5 days per week)
Total possible challenge points for Week 1 are 205pts
Weight loss points: 5 pts for maintaining lowest previous weight plus 10 points for each whole pound lost this week.
Report points as challenge points + weight loss points = total points

Notes you need to know:

1. This is an 8 week challenge that starts Monday March 18th
2. There is a weekly points list for each of the 8 weeks that will be posted here each Sunday by Noon for the following week. You are encouraged to copy and paste it then hang somewhere where you can keep track of your daily points.
3. You will report your points here each week by Sunday midnight and I will then make up a weekly summary to post by Monday noon.
4. Beginning week 2 there is a double point challenge in ****'s and () to encourage us to focus on that particular healthy habit that week.
5. You can exercise every day, but you will only receive points for exercising 5 days per week.
6. You can choose to not eat sugary/non nutritional treats each day, but you will only receive points for not eating these on 6 days (everyone needs a free treat day!)
7. You are encouraged to use the Spark food journal but may choose to use any food journal of your choice
8. Weigh yourself anytime each Sunday and tally up your points and post by midnight. Make sure you weight yourself under same circumstances each week (ex. am/pm, empty/full stomach)
9. Daily contact is just logging on spark forum daily and offering some positive feedback to your fellow challengers. Strength and perseverance comes from encouragement. It also helps to know we are in this together and accountable for what we do or don't do.
10. Example weight loss points each week: You will get 5 pts for maintaining your lowest previous weight AND 10 pts for each whole pound you loose each week. If you for instance gain weight you will report 0 points and you don't get any weight loss or maintenance points in future weeks until you return to the lowest weight you already achieved. If you maintained your previous lowest weight you report 5 pts and if you lost 1 pound, you would get 5 points for maintaining plus 10 points for that pound, so you would report 15 points. (Note there is not need to post your actual scale number throughout this challenge I just need points. As long as we are all earning weight loss points we are moving in right direction:)
11. Everyone who takes this challenge will be a Winner! Gaining: Better Fitness, Better Health, More Energy, More Confidence, but at end we will also recognize and PRAISE the person with most weight loss points and the person with the most overall points.

12. Anyone can join challenge at anytime:)
