LOL Admittedly, today isn't over yet, but I already failed to exercise at my best exercise window.

I usually get up around 5, 5:30 and exercise before I go to work. Today I woke up at 6:40 - no time to do anything except get ready and run out the door :(

Dredging up an old topic...

I'm realizing lately how important it is to write out clear goals and carefully track everything.

I remember - before I joined SparkPeople - reading a book about goal setting and the author basically said "We've all got long term goals, very few of us have smaller goals. It's the 1 year, 5 year, 10 year goals that are going to get us to that long term goal."

My fitness goal is to work out every day this week, and to get my 8 glasses of water in every day this week.

We'll worry about next week's goals later emoticon

Are you trying to stick to a fitness plan, improve a relationship, eliminate fast food from your diet, or be a better parent? Whatever your goal, was there a time when you thought you couldn't do it? This is a natural reaction when things get tough. It's easier to find ways to justify your actions than to get over the hurdle. This week, eliminate the hurdles and barriers you've created. If you find yourself saying, "I can't" or "I don't have time," then re-analyze your goal. If you really want to achieve it, then make the time or take a different approach (get up earlier, stay organized, learn the skills). Find time for you and your goals!!
