My name is Barb. Am 68 years young :) I have been on my journey with Spark People for a little over 4 years. In this time, with some bumps in the road and much support from my fellow "Sparkers" I have slowly taken off 60+ pounds, reaching my goal on 7/28/2013. WooHoo!

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change:
courage to change the things I can;
and the wisdom to know the difference.

2014: This was going to be the year of new beginnings for me. Setting personal goals to keep getting healthier.
God had/has other plans for me. Losing my husband to cancer in January has taken the wind out of my sails. I know I will get through this difficult time no matter how long it takes, but in the mean time I will be trying to stay on track with what I was doing.....

I am slowly making my way back to SP. Been gone for quite awhile, but know this is where I need to be.

My Goals: keep my journey alive be consistent with my exercise (which I have struggled with) continue tracking my nutrition and fitness

My Program:
To eat 3 meals, 1 snack

To exercise 6 times a week, with at least 2 ST.

To track all that I do.

To Spark daily for encouragement and to encourage others.

To be consistent with my healthy choices.

Personal Information:
Born and raised in the SE Wisconsin- city slicker by choice. Widowed, two grown sons. Like to read my new Kindle... when time allows. Like to garden, still learning the ins and outs on this one.
Don't mind shoveling snow, thank goodness because we do get a lot some winters.
