Hi, i am not new to spark but i have been away for a while; meantime; i gained 10 pounds by eating recklessly and not exercising. i am returning to spark with a new outlook and i am just going to take it one day at a time.

today is february 17th , 2009 and i have gone from 178 to 162 since december 26th.

i have not arrived here easily. it has been lots of hard work and lots and lots of commitment.

i have arrived here with the help and motivation of my daughter michelle who lives in town and who comes over and walks with me as often as she can. she takes me out to subway when i feel an urge to eat out and she keeps me focused. we talk about the struggles and rewards of weight loss and she helps me to see things clearly and simply. she is just great and i don't know if i could have gotten this far or even started when i did if it had not been for her. this daughter of mine is truly, truly a caring,loving, and wonderful woman.

i have arrived here because of my daughter sarah who lives out of town and celebrates each and every pound i loose. she has always told me that this weight loss was do able and now i see that she was right all along. she guides me in how to prepare foods that are nutritional and delicious. she keeps me responsible to myself and she teaches me forgiveness if i falter. when i visit her we can walk and share our goals of life and how struggle is important if the goal is worth having. she is also a truly, truly wonderful, caring and loving woman.

i am also successful because i do stay focused and i think that i am worth the 30 minutes of exercise each day or the recording of what i eat at each meal. i am being accountable FINALLY after so long of just wanting to loose weight to actually using the tools to loose weight.

i am very lucky because i have the most wonderful daughters who help me with this struggle and they have taught me that i am indeed worth it! i am truly blessed.

    Hey! You definately have a new friend and I would love to provide support in anyway I can. I was working out 6 days a week, for one hour and strength train maybe 2 or 3 times durring the week. My scale however has stopped moving as well!! I'm stuck at 228. I think I got discouraged and started slacking because the last week I have not worked out as much as I was. But I have vowed today I will push myself back into my routine. I believe you can absolutely push past your plateau. Maybe try changing up your workout routine with something different or that works differnt parts of your body. That's what I'm going to do...there is only so much walking to nowhere on the treadmill I can do! lol Maybe a dance dvd, Yoga Booty Ballet is so much fun and they have a light and easy one you can start out with. Whatever you choose to do you will succeed. I look forward to talking more with you and possibly leaning on you?? when i need to?? lol. Have a fantastic rest of the week!!!!

    hi, i started spark people on 4-29-07. i feel very excited to have found this site!! i want to loose 41 pounds and i feel confident that i will do this! i have tried lots of 'diets' but the word 'diet' to me always seems so short lived. you know, loose 5 or 10 to fit into those pants or diet for 4 weeks!

    this time, i am looking at this as a life time change of what i have been doing that hasn't really benifited me as far as how i feel or how i look.

    so, in saying that! on to the journey!! i hope you all have a super day!!
