Starting on Sparks again.2/1/2014

For most of the last 20 years I have been out of shape and very self-conscious. My career was very physical, but I ate a lot because thats what hardworking guys did. Poor food/ beverage choices were commonplace day to day. Eating healthy was a salad with everything on it( including bacon bits). My family on one side has a background of eating/obesity issues. My self-image was so poor I hated the thought of taking off my shirt in private, let alone a public beach. My body was in terrible shape and I did not want to be unhealthy. Only I can take care of my body and that is what I have chosen to do.

Fitness Minutes: 7,320

My Goals:
Start weight 4/09/03 =260+ pounds

Start weight 5/06 =225+ pounds

Goal weight by 5/24/07= 195#
GOAL MET -YES!!!!!!
Set new goal of 185# 8/1/07 Goal met-YES!!
Lowest weight 181#
Now in maintenance at 195-205#

Using a Bowflex Ultimate
Bench 3/24= 230#
Goal 5/31= 250#+
5/31 =240#Reached

Leg Press 3/24= 350#
Goal 5/31= 410# or more
5/31=390# Reached

Intense strength training with dumbbells.

No spare tire from a tractor on my waist

My Program:
Cardio= 2-3 times/week
34 minutes=2.73 miles on treadmill or more (interval style1-7.5 degrees incline and 4-7 mph)
(6/03/07) 40 minutes=3.9 miles, 10 degrees incline and 4-8 mph
7/28/07 40 mins=4.25 miles 700+ cals burned
9/10/07 40 mins=4.91 miles
834 cals burned
Best run=40 mins/5.04miles/841 cals

Strength training= 3 times/week with between 700-900 crunches per workout.
100 crunches on ball w/20# on chest.... then on the floor I do:
100 L/R side ball crunches
200 heel crunches
100 L/R side crunches
100 knee crunches
100 reverse crunches
100 table reverse crunches

Positive motivation every time I look in the mirror.

A good cigar at times

A rum and club soda =70 calories for the evening

Track ALL calories ( no cheating)

MP3 player is a must
