I finally have gotten tired of the blob that has been accumulating around my waist and want to do something about it. I finally have gotten tired of being winded by walking up the slight hill by our house and want to do something about it. I not only want to do something about it but I also want to maintain a healthy me.

It's time to continue my introduction. I have made a lot of progress over the past 4.5 months. The blob around my waist has dwindled. My legs no longer rub together. My clothes don't fit (lol). My biggest challenge now is defining and redefining my goals. I still have a significant amount of weight to lose, but I'm finally getting to the point where I need to set goals for me. I look forward to being able to actually name those goals in the next weeks.

I reached my goal and actually am a pound below that goal but this page wouldn't let me do that. I am now having to redefine my goals as maintenance and actually just want to stabilize and not be petrified of regaining the weight. I've had some really nice compliments on how I look especially my lovely muscles -- a true compliment when the zumba teacher commented on how good I looked:)

I've been spending the past several months attempting to maintain. My success has been mixed. I haven't gained weight; but I have continued to lose weight and am now 10 pounds below where I wanted to end up. It's a struggle to put the breaks on. This fall has been particularly horrid with stressful events; the good news is that I have used exercise to dissipate the effects of stress as opposed to eating. However, the end result is losing more weight. I am truly committed to this healthy lifestyle journey for the long I know that it will workout. I'm rapidly coming up on my 1 year anniversary on sparkpeople. It's amazing to see what has happened in the past year.

And now for another update. I haven't stepped on the scale for several months or tracked my food mostly because I had continued to lose weight. Recently I have been engaging in bouts of emotional eating. At least I am aware of the emotional eating. The good news is that my clothes still fit. However, understanding me as a healthier me means that I need to view myself as being a size 2 or 4 and I don't yet - I look at myself and still see myself as a size I'm not there yet...but I still am working toward a healthier me.

Newest update: I'm struggling and have been in a variety of areas - trying sparkcoach to see if that moves me along because I need to move along.

Further in the story: sparkcoach perked me up, but I can't afford it at this time. Was invited and joined the 5% challenge team. It's sparking me a bit. Hardest for me right now - getting on the scale and creating a SMART plan. I'm balking and I have to move on.

The latest in my's now 7 years....I've participated and lead several rounds of BLC. I'm stable...maybe slightly higher than I'd like to be, but stable all the same. This is significant progress.

2. Complete ordination exams and bible content exams.
3. Aikido - work towards nidan test in 2017
4. Date night - once a month with DH.
5. Meal night - once a month with parents.
6. B&B maintenance - goal being formulated.

My Program:
1. Use blog to maintain accountability with goals.
2. Set mid range goals at least monthly.
3. Set short term goals daily.
