Courageg...thank you so much for responding to my blog. I've been dying to see what anyone would have to say. I'm really desperate right now. I guess there's nothing for me to do, but I feel desperate because I have this heartache and already today I feel like I'm losing my cool with my food. As soon as I saw your response, I went to your sparkpage and saw you are recovering and re-recovering from binge eating. I added you as a friend right away. Can I ask you what is your recovery process?
I've been attending nar-anon meetings with my very supportive boyfriend. Nar-anon (if you don't already know) is for families and friends of addicts. It's similar to al-anon, which is for family and friends of alcoholics. But I'm still confused on how I go from cognition to action? Is this something that you just get when it happens?
I remember when I first started to realize I had a binge eating disorder. First, that was a revelation, but then I couldn't understand how it related to emotions. Then, that was another revelation much later. I'm dying for my next revelation on how to cope and react to my emotions without turning to food.
I can't tell you how much your response meant to me. I know that may sound silly, but I really really appreciate it. Especially coming from another beautiful and intelligent woman.
I have to tell you that your pics make 38 look nice. You have come so far. It's just amazing! I say that not just because the weight you lost, because of everything else you must have been carrying inside and had to let go of in order to lose that weight. It seriously blows me away. Thanks again!
